I picked up the skil table saw about a year ago and had only heard of it from you. It's still the best tool purchase I've made.
I absolutely love the saw - to the point where I had originally thought about getting something larger and sturdier like the big delta contractor saw but decided not to because I just love using the skil 10" table saw that much.
Guess you haven’t watched for long. No issues but he has said that where the channel is going. Not that builds won’t happen but he is more focused on contributors, aka ads, and selling his plans. No shame to him making money how he needs or wants to. If anyone wants more build videos without ads, make them and make some money on the way.
@aaronblackford981 Make them? A faster solution would be going to one of the dozens of solid "build channels". I'd mention 10 great ones off the top, but doesn't seem appropriate here... but they're not hard to find.
Actually, I came across a cool video last week specifically about "makers" who have great channels but very little following; the algorithm may not showcase them, but with a little looking you can find cool stuff.

One of my dewalt sliding compound miter saws i have is probably 30 years old. My dad used it on the jobsite every day with heavy use and abuse, and it still cuts 100 percent accurate with no issues.
Skil actually sells a zero clearance insert for that table saw also. Which is awesome cuz it uses the clip and actually bolts to your saw for cutting through. To me that means they pay attention to what people want which is a 👍 from me
I've got that zero clearance insert! I'm sure there are people who make their own inserts, but as I got it for about $15, and it has all the little height adjustment screws, it was totally worth it to me.
The Bora saw horses are worth every penny. When you can park a midsize car on them and they fold up to store, you’re gonna win every time. They are great!

To anyone looking at getting the Milwaukee M12 drill kit I would hold out because Home Depot usually gives out a better deal. Last year they gave a free M12 tool with purchase of the kit. They also sometimes drop the price to $200 and give a free 2.0 battery or one off those bit kits. But they do this randomly as part as their daily deals they have on their website.
Look forward to trying the Bora lumber rack. I was dragging my feet last blk Friday.

I got the DW735X full kit with stand for $650 from Home Depot just a month ago! Oh man... I expected to go with a cheaper planner but I could not say no... gladly modified the budget.
I ordered the 2” sander and the grrrripper!
I own the Skil 10in jobsite table saw. I have had it for about a year. The ability to quickly do the micro-adjustments to dial in the "straightness" of the blade is amazing. The only thing I wish there was a bigger capacity for the Dado stack, outside of that, this table saw has been awesome. I have used this table saw to cut through some really hard wood, bogging down did happen, but I was able to complete the cuts safely, this table saw can cut through Patagonian Rosewood, but it isn't as smooth as the other woods, has a bit of burning, it completes the cut well. Highly recommend for those getting into woodworking, or someone needing a great portable tablesaw.

Watch out for that Bessey Extender Kit! I put it in my cart but noticed a $60 handling fee being tacked on that I wasn't seeing in other stores making it more expensive at Acme. $253.00 sub-total for that one. The rest I was interested in looked legit though.
Side note: looks like the Bosch router-only SKU is also on sale.

I bought the Skil table saw about a month ago when it went for $270 on Amazon. I was ripping 2x10 pine boards and it bogged down twice. I think it had a hard time powering through a particular knot in the wood. Otherwise it’s a great tool

People looking at the dewalt 799 miter saw might want to look at the Dewalt 780 it is a upgrade from the 799 and it is on sale for $549.The 780 has the Led light that produces a shadow line the 799 doesn’t. It is on sale also at the big box stores of your choice.

I purchased the SKIL table saw based on Matt's recommendation. It's a sweet saw. I only have one complaint and I don't think it's specific to this saw. Setting a blade angle is an ordeal, it's tough to get it right on. All jobsite saws seem to work the same way.
So many good deals! So little money! 😂 REALLY want the planer but need other stuff more.
Of note with that Bosch router, the plunge base is made to be adjustable from the top side when used in a table. Poor man's router lift built in!

I got the Skil table saw and I love it. Everything is spot on square and cuts very accurate according to the measuring scale.
Question - Are the brushless tools worth the price difference over their regular tools?

I think so personally. Brushless tools have more power and better battery life. A
Almost always, with rare exceptions.
Example exception: The brushless M12 FUEL ratchet is thicker at the head, so if you need to get into tight spaces, the non-FUEL one may be better. Alternatively, get an extended reach FUEL ratchet instead, which (IMHO) has a more useful design, and can do 99% of the jobs the non-extended one can.

Love this channel, but the ACME Skil Table Saw is BS. Skil Table Saw regularly $299, "on sale" for $269. Put it in your cart and with the "free shipping", total comes to $298 with a $30 "handling" charge. Why say this is a "deal"? same price as everywhere else.
To be clear, many of the other deals don't have the "handling" surcharge and are probably actually good deals. I'm just disappointed, as I am buying the Skil Table Saw within the next few days and I thought, "hey, nice. glad I watched this. saving $30 bucks." oh well, still a good deal at regular price.

I love & respect you 731/Outlaw(s) but man this battery 🔋🪫 powered lawn equipment stuff just doesn’t work (for me, even around the house), It just WILL NOT hold up. The old tried & true (2 cycle) Stihl(s) are (STILL) the BEST out there. Yes they’re a little more $$$, but whether you use them lightly, moderately or heavily (daily, all day) they just can’t be beat. I just believe (heck I know) this battery/electric/solar ("Go Green agenda") is KILLING our planet 🌎!! And no I’m not a "tree hugging environmentalist" type either. I’m just a person that applies logic & common sense to (just about) everything/situation & am able to take/have the 30,000ft view of the Overton Window. None the less the outdoor battery🪫 lawn/power is 🗑️💩👎. Everything else in your video was great & I enjoyed the content.

I have a house on 1/4 acre. For me, the battery powered stuff has been more than adequate. I have a Greenworks mower, string trimmer, and chain saw. Never let me down, so much better than corded, enough power to do any task I've needed to do (not sure the chain saw would be great for felling trees, but it handles very thick branches) . The mower is 6 years old, and I've replaced one of the two batteries with a knock off replacement - the old battery still works, but has lost about 1/2 it's capacity, but I can still do both of my lawns on a single charge. If you have a lot of acreage gas is still the best, but for a lot of homes, battery is the way to go.

Do you mind if I ask what made you want to decide to go with the battery powered lawn equipment over the gas?? Was it for financial/practical reasons, or that you were tired of dealing with gas & oil changes, or were wanting something quieter, or just felt like trying something different?? Also if you don’t me asking did you do any type of research comparing the battery ones to the gas ones as far as durability, reliability etc etc. I get about the savings (financially) each year & not having to buy gas, change oil, air filters & all that stuff, but am basically just curious if there was anything else that swayed you more into choosing battery. Also you don’t have to answer or respond in any way, this isn’t a get ya/got ya baited questions. I’m just curious as to what makes some choose (newer) battery powered lawn equipment over (older) tried & true gas powered lawn equipment.
@@PiercesPerfectPieces I replaced a corded lawn more with the battery operated one, and that is probably the biggest no-brainer of all time. I did research on different brands, and that particular system was the best combination of quality and price at the time. If I was purchasing today, I would go DeWalt 60V, as I'm already into that system for my track saw (awesome) and grinder.
Once I got the mower, it was logical to get the string trimmer, and then the other units. I was surprised that the chainsaw worked as well as it does - great for storm damage, I was able to get through some 8 inch diameter branches with no problem.
I had a gas powered high wheel trimmer for my back yard, and maintained it myself, but it was a chore, and I eventually got rid of it in favor of trimming earlier in the season with touch ups a couple of times after that.
Although I didn't make the decision based on noise, it's nice to be able to listen to music while I'm using the tools - except the chainsaw, I want to be completely focused when using that.
Nor did I base my decision on environmental concerns - I'm aware that there is no such thing as truly clean energy, at least not at this time. FYI, I was an auto mechanic and shop owner, moving onto owning gas stations and other auto related businesses for most of my working career, so I have no prejudice against gasoline powered equipment. That said, I live in California where the lowest price in my town currently is 5.29 a gallon, so It's nice not having to pay for fuel at those levels!
