    I think with some tweezers you could thin out the hairline even more which will make it look more natural. Over the last year I’ve been using tweezers and plucking the hairline and crown a little bit - really makes a difference.

    I don't understand why most hair system companies sell dense stock, but most lighter density have to be customized. With the hair shortage it should be the opposite.

      I’ve found most companies seem to have a good range of stock densities from light to heavy 🤔

    That unit was wookie density. Fitting of Chewbacca 😂. Cheerz mate. I just got my first unit and had this problem. Watched your video as i was surfing for advice. Had it professionally installed and had my follow-up appointment so they made it right today doing a lot of what you did here thank god.

      Good to hear. In the early days it’s really hard to get the density right!

      This was a ridiculously heavy system tbf. Reason I used it was for the purpose of thinning it out

    Hi friend. You helped a l ot so far. I have a system that is way to dense and not realistic now. If I cut some hairs close to the root would it look bad or help?

  • @JamesBrownDuh
    @JamesBrownDuh Před 5 měsĂci

    Soooooo back when I really had hair I had some extensions added. WELL, I was a hairdresser at the time and instead of my thinning shears I used my regular shears and I will NEVER make that mistake again. Sorry for your wound but I thought of that as soon as you started to cut! lol I love your videos by the way.

    Dude you need to start at the root of the hair and go upward to the tip. In the front you were starting at the tip only it won’t look right if you don’t do even cuts starting at the root. I use these all the time, and believe me when I tell you that you need to go slow and only do a very little at a time. If you do too much or,are uneven you actually can go wrong and you can ruin your system especially in the front. As far as the comb actually use an even wider tooth comb that the one you have even using the wider end on that me it’s not wide enough IMO

      @chrise438 Před 2 lety +1

      Yes I agree with your response. You are supposed to start lower and work upward as you cut. It appears that you are just chopping and hacking away randomly about! I use thinning shears. There is a proper technique for using them or you can definitely ruin the system.

    If you have a thin skin unit, while off head, use a small hammer and a small hole punch to make holes every square inch from the underside of unit. This thins out from the base and lets the scalp show, and breathe. 👍

    I commonly see this: The Apex of the hairline should not be the center. It gives a dome contour when coupled with especially higher density screams “wig.” I have never seen a man with all his hair have a dome shaped hairline. Why is this so often how a stylist will cut it in?

  • @assassinskillz123
    @assassinskillz123 Před 9 měsĂci +1

    I just got mine today and I asked for a less dense system and they gave me typical Indian super thick hair now it looks very wiggy and I’m so annoyed

      That’s a shame. Where did you order from?

    • @assassinskillz123

      @@HairSystemDIY went to a local salon, they just say it looks good but It clearly doesnt. Even the colour, they gave me normal black Asian hair but I wanted soemthing a little lighter

    • @assassinskillz123
      @assassinskillz123 Před 9 měsĂci

      They didn’t even seem to glue it on properly. Is it normal to be able to see the front lace. Because I can see it as soon as I lift my hairline up

    I think the proper name is thinning sheers. 🙂

    You are cutting that way too haphazardly. You are cutting blindly which will never give you the best cut or look or layering.. Try a mannequin head to put the system on. Go slow and gradual. Take it off put it on your own head to see how you are progressing. You're simply chopping not layering.
