There is no imax version. This movie is playing open matte on both IMAX and Dolby Cinema. This isn’t some imax expanded ratio nonsense.

Nah it’s easy to edit a good trailer, but extremely difficult to make a good movie.
That shot of Neytiri flying down through the clouds all speed ahead to shoot down the Seawasp (RDA helicopter) gave me the chills. All aboard the hype train.

The fact that they did this movie with one of the most difficult elements to render in 3D- Water , is truly a breathtaking!

@@IronMan-jj2fd besides the technology cameron also wanted to make the story he felt avatar deserved and with the 12 year gap i hope he was able to properly prep for the next 3 or so movies
water isnt difficult to render but caustics are
@@IronMan-jj2fd Caustics are a pain in the ass and take forever to render if you're not faking those. That is what makes water and underwater shots look photorealistic.

Not 1.90.1.....The Movie was natively shot in 16:9 and Imax theatres will show it in the same aspect ratio.

Now since it's clear the Sully son Lo'ak and her are gonna be the next power couple for the franchise going forward, I'm so curious from a spec-bio standpoint about the kind of 'mixed-race' Na'vi kids they'll have in the future sequels (we all know heterosexual characters always have kids in american movies), seeing how he is already an avatar hybrid with his 5 fingers.
