Yup, Mr Braun is very correct, a lot of movie shoots do in fact happen in what's known to locals as "the old downtown area" of Abbotsford, and it's pretty darn awesome. I mean it's typically not particularly high budget films, usually it's the cheesy Hallmark Christmas Movies, but in my opinion even Hallmark Christmas movies are great. A fantastic one that was shot mostly in Abbotsford is the movie "On Strike For Christmas" which came out in 2010 (technically a lifetime movie but still great). If you watch the movie you'll see a lot of this area in it.

Hey, i am thinking to immigrate to Canada, my main focus is BC(abbotsford). But i have a concern, i live in delhi, i love my country India. And without hurting your sentiments i do have a problem with khalistani hot head. I mean i know i will not get along with them i will feel awkward, are majority people and gurudwaras are like that. Is the situation really bad of separatism in canada as our media potrays or its just over hyped. Again if this in any way hurts you i am sorry.
And such beautiful town turns into the murder capital of Canada at night with a shooting every two weeks. The perfect example of how you never should judge a book by its cover.
