Tamiyo seems insane in an artifact/academy deck. Would have liked to have seen that picked over Atraxa

One does not cast Atraxa. The atraxa simply shows up on the field
Can't breach the covenant
Ok, fair point, but think of it on curve. Two colors in three mana (2/3) vs 4 colors in 7 mana (just over 1/2, at 4/7). Factor in ways to cheat it into play, and Atraxa genuinely is easier to cast on 7 mana than that other thing is on 3. Especially given how many dual and tri-lands are down by 7 mana up.
The casting dificulty relates to the time in the game you need it to be cast. Turn 3 or dead card in hand vs any turn i cast this it will practically win me the game.

I love the changing evaluations. Grief was highly prized just half a year ago!
Please remember LSV viewers-- taking a drink every time LSV says Firey Covenant is good and then proceeds to not take it is a terrible idea and can have potentially lethal results.
I should have just let that Balance resolve in game 2.

@@codetaku Yeah, was a bad play on my part.
It's difficult sometimes when you feel you're in a losing spot.
Sometimes in those spots it can be good to make the most risky line of play and just hope your opponent has nothing of relevance, and just plays land go.
Doesn't really matter to me if i lose by a little or by a lot.
A loss is a loss regardless.
Those were some very cool games. The ends of match 2 and 3 were both particularly exciting, some real nail-biters.

Interesting deck I like it when a deck turns out a split of different archetypes, comes out unique
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy what a draft. It's been a while since you've been able to get a good academy deck going, and this one was just nuts. that loss for barnyard was just something out of the heavens to be able to get exactsies on that turn. wow.

Instead of spinning golos I think I brain freeze for 9, preventing them from using TOR again. Storm count was 2, not 1, after the instant speed Reanimate.
Actually fair that would have also made it so Vaultborn Tyrant doesn't gain enough life to survive another turn.

You should remove ashen rider from the cube set, I have never seen it used in any of the cube videos in recent memory.
Can someone explain why LSV decided not to cast Balance in a game state where it's the only answer he has to 6/6 trampler, destroys a land and gets a card from his opponent's hand? Especially when the play he makes basically turns balance off anyway.

You know, you're one of the pros who taught me about playing to win, and not playing to Not Lose. When you snap up a card like Balance to protect your teammates... aren't you kind of assuming your teammates are playing to Not Lose?
I understand there's a time and a place for hate-drafting, but it feels like you're often protecting your teammates from cards they want in their own decks.
I think the presumption at that point (based on his teammates being jbro and sandy) was that both teammates were likely to be playing aggro.
