  • For thousands of years, we humans have whispered about strange creatures and near-mythical monsters that have stalked forests and lived deep in the darkest of caves. While ancient folkloreserved to create some of the most terrifying beasts imaginable--we know better than that--and the advent of 21st Century technology has given rise to a whole new kind of understanding about these misunderstood animals and elusive creatures. • @cloudatlas349
      @cloudatlas349 Před 3 lety +6

      Yeah. And what makes it even worse somehow is that ,like many other animal products that we use, we now have the technology to replicate most of them by producing a synthetic version of them on a molecular level. We do it for pharmaceutical components all the time. But that just wouldn't fit the profit motive now would it? It's far cheaper and therefore far more lucrative to just torture animals instead.

      Supposedly the Horse Shoe crabs are returned alive to their natural environment after having their blood TAKEN from them, so that they can recover and be re-captured and bled again.
      The humans doing it claim it's like giving blood for people but these extremely ancient beings are not able to consent and probably wouldn't if they could.
      It has to be very hard on their bodies to go through repetitive trauma and blood loss.
      I grew up with Horse Shoe Crabs all around the shores of the Gulf of Mexico and their numbers certainly have declined, though I think that has just as much to do with certain human groups destroying the living land and ecosystems that all living beings, including humans, are apart of.
      They've existed for 240 Million years only to be nearly wiped out in a matter of a few decades.

They started putting out videos during the Covid lockdown, but they haven’t got the Recognition they deserve yet. It’s incredible. A lot of birds sing, but this bird riffs like there’s no tomorrow.

    I had a friend who had an African Grey, and that bird was smart. Every time we would smoke weed,he would wait about 15 minutes, and then he would start chuckling ceaselessly until whoever was sitting close enough to his perch would literally start laughing to tears. It happened to all of us. That bird knew what he was doing. Like I said he didn’t start right away, he would just wait for a bit, and start with 3-4 hehehe,and then work his way up to to almost incessant hehehehehehe, and I can’t explain it, and you knew what he was doing, and you couldn’t help but start laughing to tears literally. I don’t smoke anymore, but every time I remember it, it still makes me laugh.

    I liked the video. I have seen others that have been narrated by the same person, who does a wonderful job. Just one little thing, it is called ' probOScis ' not 'probIScis '. It sounds like 'boss'.

      Thank you!! When I heard that word being butchered it set my teeth on edge! I have a pet peeve about narrators who can’t correctly enunciate or pronounce words in an intelligible manner!

    That fishy thing was just an octopus with a malformity. Something about waste and pollution of our seas and oceans.
