Again, Jack and Catherine could have made it 1-1 after the second game only if Jack wouldn’t have been so impatient, especially at the very last shot which was a totally unnecessary aggressiveness.
Ice in the veins of ALW & BJ. ALW is great at getting the tempo up when needed.

Loss on Jack's paddle...again. He's such a hot dog and comes up with some great, fun winners, but has way more errors. Just like in tennis, the winner usually has less errors than outright winners. You'd think he'd know that by now. It must be so frustrating for Catherine.
I think he will start playing a bit less sporadic here in the near future! So talented
I actually think it comes from his tennis background. In tennis, there are a LOT more opportunities to finish the point, and aggressive shots are rewarded a lot more. I think the reason a lot of tennis player (myself included) sometimes call pickleball boring is because of how safe you have to play.
In tennis, the best play is often very dynamic with a lot of movement and aggression. In pickleball, the best play is often very stagnant with a lot of solid and safe shots. I hate to say it, but pickleball is just less exciting (especially doubles), and Sock clearly feels the need to make it exciting.
Lulz who cares? It’s entertainment. His play is entertaining. Shows what’s possible when you push to the edges of the game. You want to watch boring technical pickelball of all things? Johns is on the other side of the net just watch him.
Duong had a lot of unforced errors in their single's match. Pretty much giving the first game away to Sock. It's part of the game. Stick to your strength even if it means losing a lot of points. Yes, can back off a bit, but then, you are playing not to lose.
It must be difficult for Catherine , she is such a fantastic player and Jack continues to play with so many unnecessary unforced errors. Jack is not a team player, regardless of all the recognition he gets but doesn’t deserve
She makes a ton of mistakes herself. She's probably thinking about beaver

Sock's impatience is rooted in a lack of respect for the best players. Sure, he creates crowd whoos and is overall good for the sport, but he takes unnecessary shots and is hard to watch. Points are short because of him, not Parenteau who's a beast. He took a dump on her gameplay, puts her out of position - she couldn't be herself.
Exactly. He's the new media's darling, but he makes a lot of unnecessary stupid unforced errors. How can you play at the pro level and not know how to dink successfully? Unbelievable. I've seen very good amateur players play better than Sock. They don't have a famous name though.

Sock doesn’t have the temperament for PB. No patience. He likes hitting winners and eating Chipotle.

It takes quite sometime for top athletes in other sports to change some old habits and mentality to be good at pickleball. It is a very frustrating process. Some never make it. And that is why some mediocre athletes from other sports can do better at PB.
Anyone knows what paddle Ben Johns is playing with today?
Rumor has it Ben hasn’t been playing with the Gen 3 and it’s just the gen 2 painted like a gen 3. Ben’s paddle sounds way different than his gen 3 counterpart
