So it's not really a 12.3 inch screen when you have the seat climate taking up so much space. I don't know why we need it on the screen when the buttons are right below.
Is there anyway to get rid of seat climate ? This takes too much space .I would rather have one big giant map or audio info and i could simple toggle between tham.
Steven, thanks. One question on my 2022 limited with 12.3 inch screen. On Sirius XM the radio art is only shown when the car is in Park. As soon as I switch into Drive the channel art is replaced with a generic Sirius XM label, no matter what channel I'm on. Why would that happen and why would going from Park to Drive affect the album/channel art?
@@stevenwelchtoyota Thanks for checking on it. I actually went to my local Toyota dealer this morning to ask them about it. They were not aware of the issue and I demonstrated it for them. It could be a software update, but they needed my car for half a day to check, but I could not leave it that long today. Anyway, they didn't have any other 2022 Limited on the lot with a 12.3 inch display so I could not see if the issue was on another vehicle. If you find out anything please reply back. Thanks!!
@@Tony770jr We test drove a 2021 one last week and I noticed that sirius xm only showed the channel numbers but not what channel it was. :( I'm hoping when the one I ordered comes in that it's not like that. I love being able to see what the station is and who's playing.
@@the3mcbees So here is the thing, on my 2019 Highlander Limited the Album Art and the Sirius XM always shown on the display. But on the 2022 it does not, unless the car is in Park. So why would that be so? A person is usually driving the car, i.e. not in Park, it just doesn't make any sense! I really think Toyota needs a software update to fix this issue. One other thing I noticed is that when the radio is in FM HD mode the station art IS displayed even when driving. But not while in SXM mode!
@@lindamiller261 Did you figure it out? On the side of that display is the information icon...click on that and you can choose another display option. I was stuck with the tire / axel display and changed it to audio.
On the Limited model 12.1 inch screen you are able to use the entire screen for the map or whatever. On the Platinum model you are only able to use 2/3s of the screen. What "Character" at Toyota thought it was a good idea to have 1/3 of the screen taken up by other little used information. NO, you can't get rid of it! Yes, I have a Platinum and my neighbor has a Limited. He can use the entire screen and I can't. Yes, it really irritates me. You really don't have any more than the smaller screen on the less expensive models.

I have found alot of less than great salesmen. Sometimes due to lack of knowledge sometimes due to lack of effort

Is there a way to hide the seat climate section on the screen so the rest is full screen? If so is this on all years or just certain ones?
