Hey guys, sometimes it takes doing a job 3 times before you get it right.
PRO TIP: USE OEM belts, an aftermarket one may not be the exact right size and it can hose you! Ask me how I know! I thought it was the spring, but it was the belt! Every forum warns of using 3rd party belts. And now I know why!
But today! Today I fixed this sucker!!! HECK YEA!
Thanks for watching!

So after buying appliance parts for my Tappan stove with GE stamped on them the parts dude said that GE is OEM approved for the range. I know there's few OEM's and they do private label branding like GE did for Tappan.
Know what Sleepy; when I couldn't fix it anymore I bought a GE so parts will match later on.
I buy clock parts from German OEM's because pivots match bushing material and tolerances. Precision is paramount in geared timepieces which run 24/7/365+. As servicemen it's our responsibility to make or order the exact part and not accept knock offs. We know and now you do too. It takes hours to fix a cuckoo and we techs refuse to let a parts manufacturer insult our craft with mediocrity.
I now completely agree with all of this. Sometimes ya just gotta learn the hard way... 👍
