- Kawasaki has some BIG NEWS planned for January 23, 2024. Judging by the company’s teasers, it looks like we can expect a four-cylinder side-by-side, but the patent office tells us it might be more than that. Way more. Is Kawasaki building a 300-horsepower, supercharged BEAST?!

Wipers, cab, windshield - This will be a utility machine like the Polaris expedition. There’s no way a conservative company like Kawi will supercharge their engine for a new model release…. Maybe in the future but for now we’re going to get a N/A 4-cylinder! Either way, it’s going to be sweet!!!!

Agreed! It’s a 4cyl. but not going to be charged. Now they are releasing two more models after the Ridge but we shall see. All speculation other than the 4cyl.

It’s a utility machine , full cab , ac and 4 cylinder . Competes with Polaris 1500 ranger .
This is simple. It’s called a ridge. It will not be a sport machine lol.
The pure sport SXS is not coming out till 2025 model (June 24), the Ridge is a more utility SXS, not supercharged, has HVAC, more towards a Ranger XD northstar.
My Z H2 engine in a side-by-side, would be awesome.
When it comes to power wars Kawasaki always comes out on top. They always one up the competition. From the H1 to the Z1 Gpz 1100 then the Ninja 14 Now the H2R If Kawasaki puts the time in on there Side By Side Like they did with the Ninja back in the early 80s. Look out Can Am.
Feel it's going to be something to more compete with the expedition, kawasaki has always used some form of krx for high performance sport machine

Yeah bud im pretty sure you are completely wrong. This will be a loaded out utility utv to compete with the polaris adv/expedition, polaris ranger northstar and canam hd10 limited. 4cyl, fully closed cab. And not a chance in hell kawi would call some high tech supercharged 4cyl sport machine the "ridge". Pricing will probably be from 40 to 50k on par with the other contenders in the luxury utility sector. .

It’s called the ridge, it’ll be an overland minded unit like the Polaris expedition. It won’t be supercharged.
It's a Utility sxs and that doesn't scream (premium peek performance) just saying!
The patents showing the utility machine are real not to trick you it’s a real utility 4 cylinder .
Ok I’m here to bust everyone bubble as someone that works at a dealership for 20yrs and 30mil from the Kawasaki plant! The KAWASAKI RIDGE is a ranger Northstar competitor.. it’s a utility machine AC heat power windows.. sorry ladies and gentlemen now down the road in a year or two maybe but now next month!👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Two scenes in their ad campaign depict what I think is clearly a utility machine. First is is a scene where they clearly show the electric window rolling up. You can see the basic profile of the rear of the cab. An upright design similar to your typical utility platform. Secondly is looking from underneath. The simple dual a arm suspension, which resembles that of the mule pro. I'm banking on a higher performance utility machine designed to compete with the mew ranger 1500 xd Northstar. Simply put, there just doesn't appear to be any design aspects in their af campaign which hint at sport performance to me.
Cannot figure why Kawi and others dont utilize their street motocycle engines in these buggies.
Tourque, Look at the PWC engines none have a street bike engine. Closest thing is the YXZ with the 998 loosely based off the MT-09 engine.
Wonder what cc they using, polaris went all the way to 2000cc ware can am still under 1000cc
The H2 engines are 998cc. My flashed, pump gas, Z H2, is 213 HP at the rear wheel with 112 ft. lbs. of torque. The H2R is 300 HP...without an intercooler!
The can am at 200hp still smokes thr pro R unfortunately!
The name sounds utility

No one in their right mind needs or can use 300 hp in a utility sxs! How do you get that much hp to hook up to the ground on dirt?
It’s definitely not a sport sxs. You have to remember this is Kawasaki they are very conservative. It will be a 4 cylinder but very low hp just like the new polaris 1500 motor only makes 110 I’m guessing 125 hp for the ridge.
Kawasaki own the Jetski market, with a 350 HP engine. Why not own the side-by-side market.

How could anybody come up with the idea that Kawasaki is going to put 300 horsepower or anywhere close to it in a utility side-by-side? That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard of. It wouldn't surprise me one bit to see that it's barely over 100 horsepower. It doesn't take but about two or three of their short videos to see that it is going to compete with the Can-Am Defender and Polaris Ranger, quite possibly thrown in a mix of something like the Polaris General and Can-Am Maverick Trail Editions.

The Ridge has a bed, HVAC, & an enclosed cab. It will compete with the Expedition, Ranger, Defender type lineup.
Will not be supercharged on this one
