@@racernatorde5318 Yes, I did. I did not rush the game. All the secondary quests available, all the question marks. Walked all the roads and between, finding lots of of interactions and fights that are not even marked on the map. Basically, 9 out of 10 times if you see a road, there is something at the end of it, with nothing on the map. If a road suddenly stops in the middle of a forest, most of the times there is a reason for it. A monster, bandits etc. I tried different builds and tested them on spots like Mont Crane Castle, killing everyone except the leader and returning back. Also I returned to location of the old quests to check what's going on. Sometimes you can see interesting consequences of your choices when you return back after some time. And I simple enjoyed the world. Awesome sunsets at 8:45pm :)

The Legendary Manticore is also my primary and preferred armor but not because of bombs ( even though that's a bonus ), but because of the raised toxicity being my build is designed around high toxicity. The concealment kit was a big surprise though!

    • @thegreenreaper6660
      @thegreenreaper6660 Před rokem

High Tox. hmm, same tbf, is that through the Euphoria-Talent from the BnW-talent expansion? I'm running with the Heightened Tolerance talent in Alchemy; with every recipe known, alongside the yellow talents for another +30 Tox, i can reach around 295-ish in Tox points which is sufficient for 4 Decoctions: adds 210% more attackpower through Euphoria!
Manticore set adds another 50 points yes, but thats not enough to add a 5th Decoction, only a few potions. Superior Thunderbolt ís nice on top of that all, true, but i'm already playing a bit of an overkill-build like this with Ursine Armor, and 4 decoctions up all the time.

I feel switching armor sets, one for each region, can be nice. Bear and Undvik just look "warmer" so work well in Skellige. The temerian set is somehow the number 1 for white orchard once you can afford it, and maybe for Vellen. And the Manticore armor is just ideal for Blood and Wine since it's also where you get back your Aerondight , which you received when you wore armor looking like that the last time :) Would have been cool to also have the Raven Armor from W1 :)

I thought I could buy that at any time but then looked in forums and found that if you didn't buy it then, you can't buy it ever (unless you restart the mission or game). When I searched forums where to get Viper set after that mission I had finished the game story plus both DLC (main) stories and was doing all of the witcher quest/ side quests/ witcher armor quests and unlocking all of the question markers on the map.

The moment I had access to the complete Grandmaster Wolf Armor, with black dye, I couldn't care less about stats, I wore that through the rest of the game! Even better, the fact that after a while it became less effective (after the enemies leveled) made the game harder, which was super fun...

    • @thegreenreaper6660

Grandmaster Wolven gear, dye'd black looks absolutely badass, i agree!
I have a hard time choosing between Bear and Wolf gear though. I dó really like that long Chainmail coat from the Ursine set. Ursine Swords also give +100% crit-dmg bonus, there's an alchemy talent for that as well which adds another 100% when you're at max adrenaline.
If you take the Euphoria-talent, and heightened Tolerance, and the yellow +30 Tox talents, you can reach 295 tox, and run with 4 Decoctions all the time, thats +210% attackpower.
Add the 2x100% crit damage to thát sort of output and you can crit 'from here till Kingdome Come'!

@@xLetalis He's understating it even. You've got thé very best channel for The Witcher 3: Details, points missed, Easter Eggs, "The Works!"
I think the only thing you hávent made is a 'startup-guide' with a few good basic tips?
-First 5 talent points to be put in
      1: Gourmet(yellow tree!, extends your food-regen to 20 mins!)
      2: Strong Back(adds 60 kgs'to your inventory!)
3-4 and 5: Delusion in Signs, for the additional Dialogue options!
A little detail on the two Viper Swords you can get the Schematics for in White Orchard: good startup swords imho.
And how to quickly get a +70kg Saddlebag(the +100 one is easyest to find in Novigrad in the Putrid Grove, at the vendor, ríght around the corner to the left once you enter!)
And maybe add that most Velen Vendors and Blacksmiths dont have thát much money, and it'll take 5 days(iirc) to restore their gold? Might be a better idea to just buy out a Blacksmith's stocks of Dimeritium, Meteorite(Silver)Dark Steel/Iron ingots and ores etc, as you can really use that, later on when you're getting those (grand)Mastercrafted sets made!
Imho you really dont have to make a superguide on what is the ABSOLUTE best beastmode-build etc etc(wouldnt mind, personally), but from all the fantastic information you've already provided, i dont recall you made a starter-guide, ... yet?
And perhaps you could even make an advanced guide for NewGame+?(Id personalyl say; During the Final of Hearts of Stone, just let Gaunter o'Dimm kíll off Olgierd, and choose the option for the Horsesaddle: Carapace of Lament? As you KEEP that in NG+, and its just thé best saddle in the game with +100 Stamina, and that 'thingie' that randomly Crowdcontrols an Enemy if you're under attack!). Oh and ofcourse to stow EVERY little thing of value, from your House in Toussant, IN your STASH-chest, so you can sell that for coin in NG+!
Heh, and maybe add, how térrifyingly EXPENSIVE it is to get Grandmaster Witcher Gear crafted at Lafarge in Beuclair(mostly the Enriched Dimeritium).. a full set of Grandmaster-quality is around ..40-50... 60K? Skellige's Smuggler's Caches are a good source of Income..
I could go on, but i think you know móre then enough yourself :)

I found pieces of the Viper set (the swords, I think) during the last part of Hearts of Stone, in that weird place where you have to defeat Gaunter O' Dimm. I took a few wrong turns and had to redo it, but they let me keep the gear I acquired. I poisoning everyone with the full Viper set. I was sad to upgrade at a certain point in Blood and Wine.

Yeah the manticore set is amazing for alchemy builds. Part of the OP euphoria build calls for enchanting it to be treated as light armor through the Runewright and combining it with Cat techniques and the ever-busted alchemy skills to make Geralt into a critting DPS god. The Quen Tank build is also amazing, too, and a Griffin build using signs can be awesome but starts to fall off in the late game.

I think the hardest armor set to find was the sun armor set that you randomly find across the isles of skellige. I never completed the set, only had the chest piece and gauntlets I believe. It was a long time ago. It essentially was the nilfgardian heavy armor set, just gold.
