  • How to remove and replace the oil level & temperature sensor on a 2002 to 2009 Volkswagen Polo Mk4 9N. This sensor activates a warning light on your dash when your engine's oil level drops below a certain level. It also sends the oil temperature information to the ECU. If the amber ‘Oil Level’ light illuminates on your dashboard and stays on constantly, it indicates that the oil level is low and needs to be topped up as soon as possible. If the amber ‘Oil Level’ light flashes continuously, then the sensor could be faulty and need replacing. Thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe !.
