I've had other BPM baits czcams.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

I've noticed from sea fishing, that fish seem to take different coloured lures based on the amount of sunlight. Dark lures, seem to fish better on overcast days and lighter, more colourful lures seem to work better on bright sunny days. I think this is due to darker lures having more of an 'outline' in the water in low light conditions, whereas in sunnier conditions, the extra light helps to illuminate more colourful lures.

it would be amazing to see how wild brown trout would react to different lures! I have a lake near my house that had wild trout in it, and they are seriously hard to catch!

Brown's are so damn finniky. Mono line and live bait is your best option. But you would likely snag them with gang trolls and a sewed minnow or one barely hooked through the lips so as you troll it tries to fight the momentum. They would be in the deepest section of the lake too and if your trolling let a lot of line out so they are far from the motor and the noise it generates or they will flee
Try worms or live baitfish, always works!
What i notices, was the trout loves the Spark Shad, and the fast speed/action the more interests you get. I like to se you testing different sizes as well.

Great video. I think the fish are hitting a lure whose tail is working more. Some of these lures are pretty ordinary. They don't work correctly at this constant low speed. Here in Australia we have a Flathead fish which is a bottom dwelling camouflaged semi flatfish. First time I used a soft plastic lure was from a jetty where I could see a Flathead following my plastic. He just followed along behind and when I stopped the lure , he stopped. This happened a few times. Next time I just twitched the lure slightly. He ate it.

When I do my trout fishing and I do a lot of trout fishing these are the top five colors I use when it comes to the trout magnets. Bluegrass, Orange chartreuse, electric chicken, white and black, green and red flakes. I have extremely nothing but fantastic luck with these colors.

Very interesting video. Personally I always adjust my lures for pike, based on weather conditions, visibility (depth) of the water and use the following rules:Bright weather, clear water (10 ft max) : bright/fluorescent lures (pink, yellow, green)Dark weather and/or perky water : dark lures (brown or black) It seems to work quite well, but more important is action of the lure, I think.Will try to send you a video I have put together some time ago. Tight lines.
I never catch much on a bright sunny day. My best catches are always before sunrise (paddletail plastic) when it's dark or sundown/ early night.

Hi, Victor - Interesting video, in many conditions I use a [pink] "San Juan Worm" for Rainbows and Browns in local streams/lakes (N. Colorado, USA) with good success when nothing else is working (or hang below an attractor). Give em' a try...

When testing the identical lures (dark vs bright), make sure the dark colored lures do not have reflective flake in the lure. This flake/flash could be triggering the trout to strike vs the light lures that are just one solid color (and no flake).
I split my soft plastics into 3 different categories, bright, dark and natural. To be honest dark colours have never been that productive for me, my favourite in the other 2 categories are solid yellow in the bright category, but by far my most productive colour is pumpkinseed in the natural category

The hot bait for trout around here has been pink. I guess it would be a light color but I'd like to see pink vs white or any others. Berkeley power bait pink worms work very good for me.
Very good experiments. Some times they bite color white more than dark. Some times is the black. But movement and shape may be another cause.

In example with Spindle Worm we clear see that fish attacks lure with tail vibration (dark lure). When lures behavior is same I don't see difference in fish behavior. But color matters in trout fishing. Special when fish does't active. (Sorry for my english)
I also have the same experience with the darker color when i'm fishing on trout. In my opinion i think they see it better or mistake it for a beatle, which mostly is dark.

Ещё Ваши видео основаны на сравнении двух одинаковых приманок разного цвета. А если попробовать снимать реакцию рыб на различные приманки в паре. Например с одной стороны "вертушка" с другой "колебалка", "вертушка" и силикон ну и т.д. Надеюсь идея понятна. СПАСИБО!

This is a very good video showing wild underwater trout action. Sadly where I live there is very few wild trout. All trout in Los Angeles California USA are farm raised and are fed pellets and therefore are very skeptic when it comes to anything that doesn't resemble a pellet. They are not hunters so that means we can't hunt them either. I would like to see Bass underwater action because that is a very good fish to hunt. Any kind of Bass is good. Not sure if you have bass where you are at. Thank you for this video.
here's an observation. you had the one that was kind of a dark crimson. I found my best leech fly is quite similar in colour. Kind of a brownish red-purple kind of colour.

Those are some quality planters! They almost look wild but with the type of water they're in, the fact they're all roughly the same size and wild rainbows usually don't gather in huge schools like that all point to them likely being hatchery fish.

it would be awesome if you can do double screen video with softbait lures all kind of techniques so we can see what is the softbait doing in water. (one part of screen would be you with the rod and hand movement, and the other would be softbait in the water).
Im also fishing a stocked area for trout. Im rather new to the sport but im actively looking and testing out many spinners,lures,jigs,baits etc. When the trput arent biting on lures is it just the lure or is it that they want actual bait? I also hear top water fishing is to be used with mono not floro? Maybe this is why i havent had success with top waters yet?

Fishing for sea trout in the bays is the best for me .The first hour of the coming tide and the last hour of the going tide is always the best for me. Once their in their in.
I use sandeel deadbaits and the Tazmanian devil lure.
they just seem to be hitting the one that moves threw the water correctly.
try on the trout 2 lure, one whit lot's of vibration, like a chatter bait with a shad and a lure whithout vibration, like a straight lure. or big and small bait like 1 and 3 inch
