    I want to thank you guys for changing my understanding of the golf swing in simple but in a intricate manner.I grind everyday on this motion of taking my backswing with my Right Spiral line to p2 1/2 to P3 with energy and let the arms and club drift upwards as I an rotating and dropping my Pelvis as I drift target side.Them I load my Left Spiral line as the Arms and Club redirect and drift down as I rotate my pelvis and start pushing off the ground with my left leg and pull with my left arm thru impact and get to a finish. I am amazed at how pure my shots are when I do this correctly.As long as I leave my Right Arm out of the downswing I pure it.When I don't the Right Arm throws away the angles and I hit it fat. It's getting better and better everyday thank you guys for revitalizing my swing.And at 52 years young I was really getting frustrated about my game being plateued.But now I feel I'm a new man and I'm excited for 2024,s competitive season for me and my game.You guys rock

    In neuro linguistic programming. They’re always talking about people’s maps of the world, from the individuals perspective and if you model others and you should be able to get somewhat similar results. I’ve come to learn that all golf teachers are right, but most teach a specific route via hard set positions. In the sense that what they are teaching, will relate closely to the people with similar maps/routes. And to some people that took a different route will think that same coach is wrong. What I love about you guys, is this holistic approach to the systems. Like the heading of your other video global principals.

    Super vid and thank you for keeping your promise re driver. For me this brings everything from “load the spiral” and “swinging med ball” vids together. It all makes sense. Squat has killed me for so long as to me a squat is driven from the big leg muscles. A pelvic flexion as you guys demonstrate is so much more dynamic and gives automatic recentreing, shallowing and creates a massive space to swing the arms through (hi heavy point to low heavy point). With practice I can speed up the rib cage for amazing swing speed with so much more control (don’t have to do a Kyle Berkshire dance to get distance!). Your example of the catapult is key. The handle must go up and back somewhere between p6 and 7 - the fish hook move. Really excellent instruction and so holistic. Tx you both.

    Came back to this video as had a struggle on the course. I absolutely love the way you guys explain things dynamically, it really helps me understand the motions clearer. Wedge swing slower chest/ribs rotation and stay in flexion. Driver swing faster chest/ribs flexion and late extension. Key wording for me LATE EXTENSION, makes so much sense.

    I still can't quite get driver down though. When you push up off of the lead leg in delivery, does that mean at the finish of your swing that your weight transfers back onto the trail leg? It looks like you guys still finish on your lead leg. I'm one of those golfers that you guys call out in the video with the idea of "get into your lead side" which results in a downward angle of attack, pop flies, and slices with driver because I'm not releasing the club. If you can help clarify that weight transfer that would be super helpful thank you.

    Coming back to this video after reading a lot about wedges. What sticks out to me is the amount of forward shaft lean with the wedges here at impact. I assume this video is describing full and distance swings with wedges - Can you all do a video on short game? What I'm really interested in learning from you all's perspectives is a "distance wedge" vs a "pitch" vs a "chip" and how they blend or don't blend. The strategy of short-game. The importance (or non-importance) of width and angle of attack. What "using the bounce" is and its importance (or non-importance).

It feels so much more effortless and gave me a fuller understanding of my swing and how to control bottom point, speed, etc. Quick question on the wedge, do you still let the club get released like an iron, but it just happens later because of the less energy in the system? Update. I played my clubs medal this weekend and was determined to incorporate some of your key principles - rib cage rotation, pelvic flexing, heavy point, on top of plane under plane etc. I don’t know if you guys do this on purpose but in most of your shared instruction the terms that currently dominate instruction are rarely used. Swing speed, pressure shift, ground reaction forces, vectors etc. I played a really good round with much more control and accuracy. My distance was not as good but I knew that going out. It hurt off the tee too but again fairways found was much higher. The club face is square to target so much longer. My question is will speeding everything up ever deliver the ball distance now essential to play “good” golf, especially off the tee. I hope so and intend to stick with it to find out. Hope to book a slot with you on line later in the summer. Tx again.

    With the driver swing, it appears there is a brief moment of let extension between P6 and P8, seemingly in order to release the club or fling the clubhead past the body. This seems to happen before the extension into the finish you discussed. It's evident in TJ's swing seen in slow motion, where the hips/pelvis stop rotating momentarily as the legs extend and the club moves through the ball, and then the rotation continues to the finish. Is that a necessary reaction to the weight of the golf club head, and the energy needed to propel it through the hitting area and get it 'caught up' and then ahead of the turning chest?

    I just found another point of view at this video. In your videos, four main forces are exist, lateral-drop-rotational-extension.
    So, for wedges, lateral and dropping force are good for lowering attack angle. Rotational and extensional force are great for speed, but not suitable for wedges. So your meaning lowering energy at wedges is, lowering amount of rotational and extensional force!

      It definitely can. But you can still have plenty of lean and have an upward attack angle… watch DJ driver from face on 👍

    In order to hit up with the driver and have a lowpoint before the ball it all depends on how I pull / Push back the lead shoulder/rib after landing on the lead side ?

    16:38 what is the preferred or range of dynamic loft for a 56° wedge, flying 95 yards in the air

    So if you chunk the ball when using the wedge…does that mean you released the wrist angles too soon? Even if your hip flexion was correct?

      Certainly could be a factor, but there are others as well

    Question: Since how we stand and hold the club has not much to do with how the ball is struck - why start like that in the first place? It must be the easiest way, since nothing else is taught but is it really? Maybe that’s something you care to elaborate- Why adress looks the way it does if impact is so different

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Před rokem

      It has a lot to do with how the ball is struck actually - setup influences so many things. We will make a video on this sometime!

    Due to the slow down of the rib system with wedge is it normal for yardages to decrease or does the dynamic loft negate the slower swing speed?

    • @elitegolfschools
      @elitegolfschools  Před rokem +1

      Lower dynamic loft allows some of these “slow” wedge swings to actually go further than a sped up rib system. Ideal launch conditions create nice flighted wedges that go plenty far without much effort from the player 👍🏼

    Just wanna point out: dynamic loft is the loft of club, with x amount of shaft lean, at impact. The one involves dynamic loft and AoA is called spin loft. Great video otherwise
