- I react to a DELIGHTFUL song & live performance by ABBA! #pop #agnethafältskog #annifridlyngstad #aceofbase #beegees #fleetwoodmac #michaeljackson #aha #cher #thebeatles #acdc #thecarpenters #elvispresley #abbareactions
I'm so glad to see you so soon and react to my favorite ABBA song
thanks a lot for doing my special request
remember that ABBA is a Swedish pop group that recording between 1972/1982,
and after more than 35 years They returned to the studio
and recording a new album "Voyage" that is a worldwide success in 2021/2022
and in last May 2022 all four ABBA members asist to the premiere of the 'Voyage Concerts'
in the new ABBA Arena in London , with 'ABBAtars' of Themselves
(with more than 1 million tickets sales, and during to May 2024 now)
ABBA is an acronim with initials of their first names, and was two couples too:
Agnetha Fältskog (blonde singer) &
Björn Ulvaeus (guitarist songwriter)
Benny Andersson (pianist songwriter) &
Anni Frid Lyngstad (brunette singer)
both couples separated in ABBA years
Agnetha % Björn at end 1978
Benny & Anni Frid (Frida) at begin 1981
but still be with ABBA until the end of 1982
"S.O.S." (1975) has a story
It was one of Their first recordings after the greatest success of "Waterloo" in Eurovisión,
just four months later, in August 1974
But it waited almost a year for its release,
in June 1975 at Sweden, September 1975 at UK and US
"S.O.S." pick at #6 in U.K. and #15 in U.S.
being Their second hit in both countries at the same time,
and six #1 and more Top 10 in several countries of all continents
and after these, ABBA had 18 Top 10 consecutives in UK between 1975/1982, for example:
Mamma Mía, Fernando, Dancing Queen, Take a chance con me, Chiquitita, etc
"S.O.S." in less than 200 seconds is a gem, a masterpiece!
The transitions from the dramatic opening (a dingy piano and a cracking Agnetha voice)
to a powerful rock beat with catchy pop chorus in the middle are brilliant.
ABBA marked an era in many ways
One was the musical leadership of its beautiful and lofty female vocalists as the center of attention
Another was the use of contrasts, such as sad lyrics with catchy melodies and harmonies
And their recording tecnique "wall of sound" gives ABBA more powerfull
ABBA, as in its time BEATLES, left an unforgettable mark on several generations
It is good music that lasts and stays alive and well.
Thank you very much form your reaction I hope to see you in another video to ABBA
I suggest you their first worldwide hit: "Waterloo",
the live perfomance in Eurovision, when ABBA win and begin your fame as a group:

My best regards to You from
Buenos Aires, Argentina
South América
Agnetha tends to have that effect😂
Finest rear on the planet! EVER!
Oh, and finally, just for pure Agnetha goodness, try "ABBA kisses of fire live Switzerland 1979" (Disco/pop) and "ABBA. My love my life Poland 1976" (Ballad)
I certainly will check that out
ABBA - best popgroup in history. Go on and you see…..🤗
Two things. I wish more people reacted to THIS VERSION. AND, I'm glad someone else finally has the reaction I do. She was something else. Nice job.
a separate comment
In principle, I will especially thank you for the difference in your words towards me.
Eduardo in Spanish, Edward in English, as a child I was nicknamed Eddy or Edu,
Ed is also possible, all variations of the same name
I'm going to the performance you chose
ABBA made a small promotional trip to the United States
and appeared on several TV shows, this was one of them.
This performance was voted in the Top5 of the most liked at that time there in the US
In the introduction Dick holds up their third album self-titled ABBA,
which includes this song and the one they performed after the interview:
"I do I do I do I do I do"; both reached #15 on the Billboard
You can find on CZcams the video that includes the two songs
with the brief interview between them
And as for the blonde singer Agnetha
As my Chilean friend Alejandro says, I had a crush on Her in my adolescence.
Although the brunette Frida is a little more beautiful,
Agnetha exerts an innate seduction without intending to.
You should know that she was a sexual symbol of the 70s
and they had chosen her. for having the most beautiful buttom
in the world of rock and pop music
But she suffered harassment, and Agnetha was only looking for a family life,
away from the world of entertainment and photographers and sensationalism.
Regarding future reactions
If you want to go down what is called the rabbit hole,
My suggestion is that you go chronologically,
to follow their musical and human evolution
(over the years, lyrics became deeper and music more sophisticated)
you can take all the songs that are on the compilation album GOLD (1992)
which is their biggest hit, which includes 18 of their Top 10 in the UK,
with a record of 1115 weeks in the Top100 of the UK Charts (and still in the Top20 this week )
starting with "Waterloo" from 1974, the winner of Eurovision 1974
look for that live performance, it's iconic
😂😂Love it
You should do their He Is Your Brother Live in Australia 1977 u mite be pleasantly suprised.
Agnethas bottom made the headlines here in Australia in the 70s 💕💕💕
I bet it did 😁
@@youmaderoskoe 💜💕💜💕💜
I’m showing my age….. but my big sister and I use to pretend to be the girls in this band 😂😂😂…..My sister was usually Agnatha and rightly so as she was bottle blonde up til about 10 years of age, and like Anni-Frid or Frida, I had brown hair. ABBA were pretty big in Australia. They did a concert with Olivia Newton John and Andy Gibb, the youngest Gibb brother too which was pretty special.
They do Another song on this same Episode of American Bandstand, and it's here on CZcams too .. It's even more interesting, from the male standpoint
Lol..I don't think it's that serious..yet. 🤣
@@youmaderoskoe Yeah.. I took that off after thinking about what I said .. that was a little rough. But seriously, there are dozens of abba videos on here . Look for the ones where they're wearing the little 'white 'Cat dresses' .. They're awesome young women .
Hi. You picked a great version of the song to show. I dislike the official video. And ABBA is terrific live. Nothing wrong with appreciating the ladies. Many a young man did in the day lol. There is another ABBA reactor that feels the same way about Ani-Frid (Frida for short) a band couldn't have asked for 2 more pretty and talented leading ladies. Can't wait for your next reaction. Take care
(New Sub)
🅰️ Agnetha is the blond girl (singer).
🅱️ Björn is the guitar man (and songwriter) and her husband at the time.
🅱️ Benny is the piano man (and songwriter too) and Frida's boyfriend at the time.
🅰️ Anni-Frid (called 'Frida') is the other girl (singer).
I love❤Frida... you love 'Agnetha' (like Eduardo 🇦🇷)... that's ok.😅
Try 'Money money money' or 'Mamma Mia'.
❤️🇨🇱👍
I got you brother 😎👍
@@youmaderoskoe now I agree with "Mamma Mia" first, because is the single between "S.O.S," & "Fernando" and shows Agnetha & Frida together sharing lead voices
There is another wonderful performance of this song by Agnetha that can be viewed by searching "ABBA - S.O.S. 1975"
It is less flirtatious but probably a better performance.
I can't blame you for your lust, the ladies are stunning and I have had a 50 year crush Agnetha that just won't die. 😍
But don't let their stunning beauty detract from just what fantastic vocalists they are and ABBA are an all time best selling band, churning out endless hits of all varieties.
This particular song is regarded as the perfect pop song but as you discover more, and likely your lust turns to admiration and love for Agnetha, you will see and hear they run much deeper.
PS so glad you reacted to a stage performance rather than the official video which doesn't do them justice.
Other videos though are really quite good given they were pre music video/MTV.
Dionne Warwick covered this song on Swedish tv
Your reaction about Agatha in this specific video/song are the exactly the same as mine.
She's an amazing talent 😏
