by the title of the video it is already known that "bottle of water" will be in the video and that others will try and fail to imitate
Everyone is so obsessed with imitating the British accent, yet they don't realise for a small Island, England has over 55 other accents..
@@Englishman-_-Mongolia2022 You are referring to regional and localised accents, not national recognised ones.
Yup! 😂
@@Englishman-_-Mongolia2022 55 accents?
well... im learning english but still cant speak with bri'ish people :)
@@hansantonio110 55 known accents. There are a lot of rural accents here, you'd never understand a word of.
The Texas girl is just not having it. You can take the girl out of Texas but not Texas out of the girl🤣🤣
You really need to explore the accents within the UK. I wonder if Americans could follow a conversation in my area.
Nah literally I’m from south east and this is the conversation I hear everyday near the shops from roadmen “aye allow it fam I swear on my mums life I didn’t steal nuffink. By the way your outfits bare peak.”
What about 🏴?
@@whenicryidie1945 innit, these lads on this show don't speak the english you here 90% of the time in the Southeast
Lately a video among UK members had showed many words of UK , Emily's accent is different from the guy wearing red here
The guy in red in the previous video explained is from Poland
They either came as children to live in the UK or were born in the UK but brought up abroad. The accents are just a little ‘off’.
Great video as always. The guy in the back-right improved so much right away - good effort! I also love the Texan lady going full Texas instead of British - amazing 😆
Rebacca is so cute. She has a good accent
So much fun, I love it. :)
As a Brit I feel like I'm in for 10 minutes of painful cringe 😬
why english so hard?
Same here. I just came from tiktok and nearly screamed after watching an American BITE a terry’s chocolate orange!!!
yeah the video hasnt even started yet and im dreading it
Me too I’m British
Does it really make any difference how you sound? I'm from Russia and I almost cannot hear the difference in pronunciation 😅 I understood every single word but I cannot repeat them that way. A lot of people in my country are scared that english-speaking acquaintances can make fun of their wrong pronunciation. Is it really a trouble?
To be fair, many Americans can't successfully mimic many other American accents. This is especially true when some try to mimic a Southern or Appalachian accent.
how is an Appalachian accent different from a typical Southern accent?
@@FadeToBlack888 Hard to describe in words but Appalachian Mountain people definitely have their own accent that IMO is distinguishable to anyone with a more in tune ear. I have trouble understanding them depending on how thick the accent is, and they also have some of their own terms that other Americans don’t use.,They lived very isolated in the mountains for a long time. I’m sure there are accent videos for them on CZcams
@@FadeToBlack888 First of all, there are more than one Southern accent and Appalachian accents have developed over a long period of time and strengthened in identity through isolation. You are more likely to find a twangy accent than a southern drawl accent.
Well i cant really understand Cajun accent or whatever that is and im American born and raised. That shit needs subtitles 🤣🤣
Most American accents come from UK anyway.. though they hate the fact
Thank you so much for this, I'll be traveling in London for the next month and I'm so happy to learn about the accent.
The polish guy in red should be learning the accent too xD
I caught it too. They both sound just a little ‘off’. I think they either came to the UK as children or they were born here but raised abroad.
@@boxtradums0073 Emily is half brazilian, that kinda explains her accent
Fascinating teaching....
I have really loved this video
I default to the Yorkshire accent when I do it since I come from the Southwest where we pronounce our Ts like Ds
"Can i have a bottle of water" with the "Wtf?" hand gesture lol
I think they sound like Northerners of the UK more than us Southerners of the UK lol, very good though
Texan gurl is fun! 🤣🤣🤣😭😭❤️
I suppose it will be the same as a Peruvian I tried to learn the accent of Spain, how difficult can it be? Xd
Please do more videos with Christina 🇺🇸 Lauren 🇬🇧 Sydney 🇨🇦 Grace 🇦🇺 Claudia 🇪🇦 and Nele 🇩🇪. All of them represent their countries the best
That was not a pretty good idea to say in that way. I will not be biased against certain people from their native countries. Everyone from their own countries was trying their best, and to be fair, they are interchangeable.
America you can drive for miles and hours and still be in the same state.. Over in the UK you can drive 10 mins up the road the accent has changed 3 times and there's a new word for a barm cake..
The guy in red doesn't sound very British, it's defo a mix between British and Polish
He has no Anglo blood.
European accents sound sophisticated while American's sound more natural, I think.
These aren’t sophisticated uk accents tho. There are places with more posh English but these two aren’t it.
Right
@@MS-vk9ph I'm American but I've seen some videos of Northern England and it doesn't sound too sophisticated to me lol.
@@dangercat9188 Have you heard scouse (Liverpool accent)?
@@kevinwithamohawk yes. That's my favorite English accent lol. But my favorite British accent has got to be the Glasgow one.
As a brit I don't know how to explain how I feel other than cringe
Literally 💀
Of course Britsh accent is the sexiest!
Can confirm that the UK has more regional accents but that’s to be expected. England has been around far longer.
plus the distance too doesnt matter much here, scottish sound more different from english than australian from english
As long as Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
@@dreamthedream8929 really ? I’m Scottish and that’s mind boggling lol.
I see emily, I click ❤
Ahhhhhhhh! Thought= past tense of think! "I thought today is Monday." You cannot use the present tense of "be" with the past tense of "think"! It should be "I thought today was Monday, but it ain't" (Warning: British irony at work)
I feel like I'm being crazy, because I laughed a lot watching this video
This was too fun to watch
IT'S CHEWSDAY, INNIT
Why aren't there any British accents in the video lol
Nice video
I subscribe to the Dr. Who theory that if you can't figure out the accent they must be Welsh!😆😆😆
3:47 "Do you want to me fuck off he" - What i heard as French
Now I hear it 💀
That one girl is so bad at British accent it’s so funny 😂
my english is like those old bible translations (if you guys understand me)
My ears are bleeding!
At the beginning, when I started to learn english, I fell in love with british accent, but as the years goes by, nowadays I'd rather the american accent. I don't know, but I love the stop T, even more when the stop T exists in word like certain, mountain, button. The pronounciation is so beautiful in my opinion. Also, the way the word aluminum is pronounced in american accent sounds like a magic spell to me. Nothing can't beat that. lol
I still love the british accent though. I just don't love it as much as I did way back when.
Because everyone is obsessed with the British accent..they imitate it all the time. Women (especially north American) still fall for the basic/average Englishman because of his accent
@@Englishman-_-Mongolia2022 not so much with the scottish one right?
aluminum is a word that almost no one uses in every day life. its really not important. i know its a word that is usually talked about in such videos but there are so many more common words to talk about
@@dreamthedream8929 hello, aluminum foil 😛
@@VivaCohen no
2 minutes of silence for the lonely guy among 4 girls 🥲
The guy in read sounds like Sam Smith conversing
All failed with tuesday, no one said "chewsday" lol
Emily 😍🥰
pervy sage
Yolisma is so greedy and extra proudy.
Suenan igual.
This was funny. I fancy to start workin” on me Bri’ish accent.
"I thought today is Monday"? Who writes this crap? Nobody would make that grammatical mistake.
hahah i love this
Dyawanna go furra coffehh is the correct way to pronounce that sentence
I only wish the videos were like 5 mins longer.
Bringback christina please
FIRST THE BACK SWEATER GIRL GOT THE ACCCENT DOWN PAT
Not in a million years, believe me I'm English and she sounds like an American doing a very bad impression of an English accent.
The immaturity from this crowd is astounding. You don’t have to be insensitive and painfully annoying on PURPOSE to have a conversation.
Emly is incredible
The British two dont have genuine British accents. They were either born somewhere else and moved to the UK as children or be born in the UK but grown up abroad. The accents are just a little ‘off’.
Good luck
Y'all are so funny and entertaining 🎉🎉🎉
Oh my god! Another challenge british vs yankee accent. Groundbreaking!
Ngl, I'm not even convinced that your British people have British accents
I- no I can’t the accents are just hurting me😭
Can you compare different places in America. I am from Colorado and I didn’t realize how different the cultures are from the east coast/south because that seems to be where the American representatives are from. Things are definitely different over here!
Emily knows she is the prettiest girl in front of the camera.
So there are two types:
1. Pronounce T ( and pronounce it as it is and not D like American English)
2. Don't pronounce T (glottal stop)
-- I personally prefer number one. Sounds sooo good. I guess those American people got confused between one and two. 😁
it’s not a “D”, it’s more of a tap R because even sometimes we talk fast we roll it, so better with be “berrrrer”
@@7iscoe if you are American then I guess you call it soft T but it sounds D. Not R. Waderr, bedder, cidy etc. Plenty videos are there in this channel also Americans admitted how their T sounds like D when they started to dig out the accent differences.
@@knowledgehunter_ this is a common thing that many try to insist upon, that d sound. but its not really there. its not a normal d. might as well be just t. try to say those words that you wrote with a normal d and it would probably sound weird. like saying city with d. it does not sound right
@@knowledgehunter_ because most americans don’t kno about the “tap R” it’s really not a D, you can’t roll D’s, i’m american myself and i even roll it when i’m speaking it.
US English is built upon scottish/Irish English.
Emily looks quite lovely today, isn't it?
Doesn't she?*
Hai, I'm from Indonesia..

英国生まれの英語はいいですね❤
British always better
If it's only about England...
So whats the British accent? I know they mean the English accent but even then there’s so many.
The British accent is the best and sexiest accent ever!
are they all from 1989 ?????????
What have world friends ans bitcoin in common ?
5:29
The sentence has to be:
*My favourite film is Harry Potter.* Favourite is spelled with -ou not just -o…
🇬🇧 My favourite film is Harry Potter
🇺🇸 My favorrite movie is Hairy Padderr
I thought today was monnay but it's chewsday innit?
“Monnay”? Wtf
‘Mun-day’
Oh, I loved it today so much.
Thing is, I don't think there would be very many British people who would ask "Can I have a bottle of water?". That's really American English. "Hate to be a bother luv, but might I trouble you for a bottle of water?" would be more of a Lauren-esque way of asking. Also, probably "Fancy a cup o' tea, luv?" as opposed to coffee.
The longer sentences are tough, though, there's a tendency to use RP, Cockney, and Scouse all in the same sentence, and I know it may seem hard to believe, but British people pick up on that quite easily.
The black girl was not even trying to be honest.
This hurt to watch. For the first time I with Americans
The audio sucks in these videos
There are more American accents than English ones, but if you include the whole UK there might be more. I wouldn't be surprised. There are a lot of different American accents/dialects though
Nope, more English accents add in the other 3 home nations and the UK has the most regional and local dialects and accents in the world, you literally can travel in a fairly largely town and the accent can change.
England has around 40 known accents, the US only has 30
The reason is that the key to change for an accent is time, rather than landmass or population. The opportunity for American accents to begin to diversify was born from a pre-existing cauldron of accent evolution. Mostly due to centuries of repeated invasion which really accelerates the process.
No there aren't lol
the im italian one just makes me cringe and kinda mad

The black girl is terrible at doing this
They had to throw a black and some Asian mix girl for “diversity”. It’s ok to have an all white panel
My god, all of them are pretty shocking to be honest. 😂😂
