My diagnosis was June 26 2017. I am having trouble swallowing and eating. I am having trouble moving food in my mouth. My hands keep cramping too. Recently I have been running out of breath while talking. I am 64 years old. My symptoms started in 2015 when I kept choking when swallowing. That is still a problem. I fell apart when I was told what I have. Now that I have accepted it, I am just trying to live my life one day at a time.

A lot of people believe that ALS has no cure, but i must tell you a great source of ALS cure permanently, I was diagnosed of ALS early this year. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn't walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. No word can describe how cruel ALS is. I watched all of Kevin's videos chronologically from beginning to end, twice. I have never shed tears when watching a video, but this series shredded my heart. From the beginning, where Kevin was a healthy, strong, handsome looking guy to skinny and confined to his wheelchair. Neverless, he kept his optimistic attitude, and always believed in a cure. Recently, I've been diagnosed with ALS, its weird writing this, because I knew there was something wrong with my body. @@fwlweb5803 the thing is brother we don't long enough and it's all to do with frequency and brain waves. There will never be a cure and basically once the brain is exposed to the wrong emf or frequency then an auto immune condition is more likely to happen.

My dad was also an athlete he's whole life. Beautiful man, he actually modeled in college 😉 he was a CPA accountant. Was president of an aviation company. Has 4 kids. Kept his humor through everything. He was one of the faster progressing patients, passed away 1.5 yr after he was diagnosed.

Great story Kevin. Congrats on your survival over the past 10 years, and you will get many more years, because you are in good shape. Myself, I got the disease. 43 years last April. Diagnosed in 1978. It's a horrible disease and very little progress has been made in research. Nevertheless, there is great equipment that can help us along. Like assistive technology and voice recognition, some has got eyegaze. But there is one thing that I have observed by corresponding with victims of this disease and that at least 50% of patients diagnosed are from the sports world or keep fit activists and those who pursue physical exercise and work. Like the army. And I think that it is high time that people should be warned about overdoing too much exercise. In my 43 years with the disease. I could keep writing down names of great sportsmen and sportswomen. For example, Lou Gehrig. Just push the button too far. And once it sets in. There is no reverse! I wish you well. Handless Andy. ~

From how he spoke and was spoken to it seemed as if they already accepted that he was going to die. It was heartbreaking seeing Kevin trying to fight back tears in a couple videos. He might have passed before I knew who he was but I'm thankful the videos are still active to share his story!

OMG, Kevin you have just described everything that has been happening to me, only it's been 4 years and I've got no diagnoses if ALS, even though I have fasculations. I was working out every weekday for a year, I lost 80 lbs. I felt pretty good, then all of the sudden my legs muscles would get so heavy the further I walked, so I couldn't even walk a half a block. I was diagnosed with spinal cord stenosis, common for my age, I had dizziness, I have radiculopathy, I have neuropathy, neuralgia, and Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, and my muscles keep tearing. I too was told that I had hyper reflexes. I had all the same tests as you, I've seen a chiropractor, Pain Management Specialist, and a Neurologist. The neuro said that I had PLMS, hyper reflexes and that everything below the level of my cord compression could be affected, including nerves, muscles, tendons and organs. I keep having people tell me to relax, and I tell them I'm as relaxed as I'm going to get. I had severe muscle cramping, but it's only been the last year that I started having the fasculations.
I was having some of the same symptoms and dx's as you. Finally got spinal tap and MRI - I ended up with MS 12/2010. Not to scare you but maybe you should consider the possibility.
@sparky413 I finally got my neurologist to agree that I have demyelinating disease of the central nervous system, most likely MS. Mainly based on my Optical Coherence Test showing significant thinning of the optic nerve, and lesions on my spinal cord. I literally had to to take articles from the National MS Society stating that MRI'S of the brain are not the most reliable and MRI'S of the spine and an OCT Test is most reliable.

My diagnosis was June 26 2017. I am having trouble swallowing and eating. I am having trouble moving food in my mouth. My hands keep cramping too. Recently I have been running out of breath while talking. I am 64 years old. My symptoms started in 2015 when I kept choking when swallowing. That is still a problem. I fell apart when I was told what I have. Now that I have accepted it, I am just trying to live my life one day at a time.

A lot of people believe that ALS has no cure, but i must tell you a great source of ALS cure permanently, I was diagnosed of ALS early this year. I had severe symptoms ranging from shortness of breath, balance problems, couldn't walk without a walker or a power chair, i had difficulty swallowing and fatigue. I watched all of Kevin's videos chronologically from beginning to end, twice. I have never shed tears when watching a video, but this series shredded my heart. From the beginning, where Kevin was a healthy, strong, handsome looking guy to skinny and confined to his wheelchair. Neverless, he kept his optimistic attitude, and always believed in a cure. I send my condolences to his family, and any other individuals who suffer from ALS. Rest in Peace Kevin, hope you are in a better place now.

Recently, I've been diagnosed with ALS, its weird writing this, because I knew there was something wrong with my body. There will never be a cure and basically once the brain is exposed to the wrong emf or frequency then an auto immune condition is more likely to happen.

My dad was also an athlete he's whole life. Beautiful man, he actually modeled in college 😉 he was a CPA accountant. Was president of an aviation company. Has 4 kids. Kept his humor through everything. He was one of the faster progressing patients, passed away 1.5 yr after he was diagnosed.

Great story Kevin. Congrats on your survival over the past 10 years, and you will get many more years, because you are in good shape. Myself, I got the disease. 43 years last April. Diagnosed in 1978. It's a horrible disease and very little progress has been made in research. Nevertheless, there is great equipment that can help us along. Like assistive technology and voice recognition, some has got eyegaze. But there is one thing that I have observed by corresponding with victims of this disease and that at least 50% of patients diagnosed are from the sports world or keep fit activists and those who pursue physical exercise and work. Like the army. And I think that it is high time that people should be warned about overdoing too much exercise. In my 43 years with the disease. I could keep writing down names of great sportsmen and sportswomen. For example, Lou Gehrig. Just push the button too far. And once it sets in. There is no reverse! I wish you well. Handless Andy. ~

From how he spoke and was spoken to it seemed as if they already accepted that he was going to die. It was heartbreaking seeing Kevin trying to fight back tears in a couple videos. He might have passed before I knew who he was but I'm thankful the videos are still active to share his story!

OMG, Kevin you have just described everything that has been happening to me, only it's been 4 years and I've got no diagnoses if ALS, even though I have fasculations. I was working out every weekday for a year, I lost 80 lbs. I felt pretty good, then all of the sudden my legs muscles would get so heavy the further I walked, so I couldn't even walk a half a block. I was diagnosed with spinal cord stenosis, common for my age, I had dizziness, I have radiculopathy, I have neuropathy, neuralgia, and Periodic Limb Movement Disorder, and my muscles keep tearing. I too was told that I had hyper reflexes. I had all the same tests as you, I've seen a chiropractor, Pain Management Specialist, and a Neurologist. The neuro said that I had PLMS, hyper reflexes and that everything below the level of my cord compression could be affected, including nerves, muscles, tendons and organs. I keep having people tell me to relax, and I tell them I'm as relaxed as I'm going to get. I had severe muscle cramping, but it's only been the last year that I started having the fasculations.
I was having some of the same symptoms and dx's as you. Finally got spinal tap and MRI - I ended up with MS 12/2010. Not to scare you but maybe you should consider the possibility.

@sparky413 I finally got my neurologist to agree that I have demyelinating disease of the central nervous system, most likely MS. Mainly based on my Optical Coherence Test showing significant thinning of the optic nerve, and lesions on my spinal cord. I literally had to to take articles from the National MS Society stating that MRI'S of the brain are not the most reliable and MRI'S of the spine and an OCT Test is most reliable.
