As an older person (retired midwife)…you must listen to your heart…LISTEN…HEAR…YOUR HEART KNOWS…don’t keep saying you don’t trust yourself…our brains are smarter than we think, and hearing our own voice say such things sets us up for becoming what we think we are…or aren’t. As a long time subby, I am grateful for the experience of watching your videos…I say, do what you need to do to wash off the feelings of doubt just like you would wash away a thick layer of mud, it’s obvious you have accomplished more than most young women your age! My little girl and I watch her on rerun lol. My daughter is epileptic, doesn't talk yet and Isabel is our go to calming channel. We watch regularly and my daughter's smile from watching Isabel is priceless ❤ and I can't stress enough how important a calm environment is for seizures.

Actually me too. I haven’t bought her book yet, but I will. Though I’ve started to add vegetarian meals back in to my diet, and buy more of the clean, green products - and lately be more inspired to tackle some of the projects I have thanks to Isabel’s, well and others, though let’s face it she is amazing using materials she finds in nature and very raw and organic materials to make beautiful and useful things! She’s just such an inspiration!
I'm in a similar situation, living on my parent's land in a yurt, but what keeps me going in that looking back at younger me, I would LOVE to be where I am at now. I also see it as a base camp and am able to travel and do things I love as a priority because I'm not stuck in the grind of work to pay bills. AND to have a love and close bond with your family, is everything. We are one of the only countries that strive on independence and leaving the moment we can. It's quite beautiful to stay to your roots and cherish what you have. Comparison is so easy, but we only show our happy moments and less of the dull boring/sad ones online. We somehow got wrapped up in this world of wanting to share our happiness with others, which keeps us busy to want to do more and more. I think the fact you are vulnerable through your platform and have a big group of people be able to relate to you so much, shows we are all really so similar and strive for the same things and feel the same things. I love thinking deep with you. Also if you're ever in North Idaho, lets adventure. :)
I am very sure that most people following your journey here are not doing so solely because of a tiny house in the mountains. They are here for you! Thank you for sharing how you’re feeling and what you’re going through. As a 25 year old I can really relate to everything you shared about noticing your confidence levels ebbing and flowing. I noticed that I was super confident and adventurous till about 22-23 years old when all of a sudden the heartbreak, criticism, failures and comparisons of my past had accumulated in my heart and mind. They crept up on me and by 24 my self esteem had never been lower. But after noticing that I was letting my painful experiences harden me into a dull sad person I started building a confidence that was rooted in truth and not the naive version of confidence I had been when I was 19. My new version of confidence became that at the end of the day, no one has the right to tell you who you are on a soul level, only you can define that for yourself & get to know that soul. People are very hard on themselves and project their pain on to others. I stopped assuming what others are thinking of me and I don’t let the fear of being negatively judged guide my decisions. You are intelligent, talented and so much more Isabel!! Your story telling and videography skills are amazing, so wherever you are, people will love to watch anyways. Also I must emphasize, it take hard work and skill to creat the videos you make, that in itself is worth celebrating❤️❤️ You are inherently lovable!

It is funny how I relate so much to every video, like they were crafted to me. I also just came across of old hard photos and see my past self. It puts things into perspective.
I can absolutely resonate with the acting out of fear and others expectations. I traveled the country playing music and living out of a short school bus for a few years and felt a lot of pressure to settle down into one spot and not continue to live so precariously. I don't regret slowing down with traveling but I do wish I did it from my own desires and not from pressure from family/society to be more "responsible". I'm 30 now and went through that in my mid 20s, maybe it's the quarter life crisis 😂 whatever the reason for those thoughts, your videos inspire me in so many facets of my life. I really enjoy your style and enjoy slowing down and sipping some coffee and starting my day on an inspired and authentic note. ♡
Follow your heart. I am 59 and can tell you that you are way beyond your years in the meaning of life. Keep doing you and let that change come as you are ready for it. Dismiss whatever everyone is doing it has nothing to do with you journey. Keep inspiring all of us with whatever direction you take. Your work is amazing. I can totally relate. I used to feel so confident and comfortable with myself and then suddenly around 19-20 yrs old everything became much more challenging. You can totally reconnect to that intuition- you already know you need to do what scares you, what you’re passionate about, and not be afraid to fail.

We will follow you whatever you chose to do with your life. I’m 58, a year ago I lost both parents, my brother and my pup in a two week period. I am learning how precious life is, I took it for granted most of my life. Do what your heart leads you to and don’t worry about others.
Alas, it’s often not true. Outside of people actively sabotaging your goals (even sometimes saying “it’s for your own good”!), just having to fulfill your obligations to others can be seen as them holding you back. Unfortunately Isabel is exhibiting (un-self-consciously) how extremely privileged she is as a beautiful, young, white person. But this privilege is also a big part of the appeal of her channel: “I wish I could be as free as her”. But she is still growing. I hope she realizes how privileged and admired she is, and that it is her responsibility to acknowledge and account for this.
Just like you look up to or aspire to be like other creators or people, there are also people out there who aspire to be like you ❤ You’re doing great! Also, it’s not where you are that people enjoy watching. They enjoy seeing you! Do what makes you happy and people will gravitate towards you no matter where you are!

thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. I have felt/have been feeling VERY similarly to you and I think it is a natural process of learning and growing. Acknowledging it now and returning back to your own true path is the right decision. Societal pressure and fear can creep in, but always choosing to honour yourself and do what feels right for you regardless of the risks is what we need to remember. Sometimes your confidence takes a hit when you try something or desire to do something and realize it isn't what you wanted, but remember that you should feel confident you were brave enough to take the risk in the first place and brave enough to change it up when you realized it wasn't right for you. Everyone is constantly re-assessing and changing their mind and thats why we are here, nothing wrong in honouring that.
It’s because of your authenticity that attract people to your channel. No matter what you decide to do with your life your personality and vibrancy will always be appealing to others. Isabel, I've watched/followed you from day 1. PLEASE just STOP reading these comments!! (hope you read this one though..:)..LOL) Just Stop. Actually me too. I haven’t bought her book yet, but I will. Though I’ve started to add vegetarian meals back in to my diet, and buy more of the clean, green products - and lately be more inspired to tackle some of the projects I have thanks to Isabel’s, well and others, though let’s face it she is amazing using materials she finds in nature and very raw and organic materials to make beautiful and useful things! She’s just such an inspiration!
I'm in a similar situation, living on my parent's land in a yurt, but what keeps me going in that looking back at younger me, I would LOVE to be where I am at now. I also see it as a base camp and am able to travel and do things I love as a priority because I'm not stuck in the grind of work to pay bills. AND to have a love and close bond with your family, is everything. We are one of the only countries that strive on independence and leaving the moment we can. It's quite beautiful to stay to your roots and cherish what you have.
Comparison is so easy, but we only show our happy moments and less of the dull boring/sad ones online. We somehow got wrapped up in this world of wanting to share our happiness with others, which keeps us busy to want to do more and more. I think the fact you are vulnerable through your platform and have a big group of people be able to relate to you so much, shows we are all really so similar and strive for the same things and feel the same things. I love thinking deep with you. Also if you're ever in North Idaho, lets adventure. :)

I am very sure that most people following your journey here are not doing so solely because of a tiny house in the mountains. They are here for you! Thank you for sharing how you’re feeling and what you’re going through. As a 25 year old I can really relate to everything you shared about noticing your confidence levels ebbing and flowing. I noticed that I was super confident and adventurous till about 22-23 years old when all of a sudden the heartbreak, criticism, failures and comparisons of my past had accumulated in my heart and mind. They crept up on me and by 24 my self esteem had never been lower. But after noticing that I was letting my painful experiences harden me into a dull sad person I started building a confidence that was rooted in truth and not the naive version of confidence I had been when I was 19. My new version of confidence became that at the end of the day, no one has the right to tell you who you are on a soul level, only you can define that for yourself & get to know that soul. People are very hard on themselves and project their pain on to others. I stopped assuming what others are thinking of me and I don’t let the fear of being negatively judged guide my decisions. You are intelligent, talented and so much more Isabel!! Your story telling and videography skills are amazing, so wherever you are, people will love to watch anyways. Also I must emphasize, it take hard work and skill to creat the videos you make, that in itself is worth celebrating❤️❤️ You are inherently lovable!

But there's honestly so much beautiful content out there that really helps and serves to lift others up, and truly Isabel I put you in that category. It is funny how I relate so much to every video, like they were crafted to me. I also just came across of old hard photos and see my past self. It puts things into perspective.
I can absolutely resonate with the acting out of fear and others expectations. I traveled the country playing music and living out of a short school bus for a few years and felt a lot of pressure to settle down into one spot and not continue to live so precariously. I don't regret slowing down with traveling but I do wish I did it from my own desires and not from pressure from family/society to be more "responsible". I'm 30 now and went through that in my mid 20s, maybe it's the quarter life crisis 😂 whatever the reason for those thoughts, your videos inspire me in so many facets of my life. I really enjoy your style and enjoy slowing down and sipping some coffee and starting my day on an inspired and authentic note. ♡

I can totally relate. I used to feel so confident and comfortable with myself and then suddenly around 19-20 yrs old everything became much more challenging. I moved from the east coast to California (in a uhaul with no place to live) but I knew it would be ok because I was following where my inner voice was leading me…with no expectations or hidden agendas! We all compare ourselves to others, especially when we’re younger in our 20s and 30s but as you get older you care less and less about what other people think, you’re an amazing person you’ve done amazing things you are wholesome and grow and sew and cook from the ground. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what you’re doing. Keep on doing it and just be you. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’m so glad I ordered your cookbook. I recently had a terrible death in our community where one of my closest friends of over 25 years passed all too soon. It was unexpected, tragic and just dumb bad luck. What would I give to just have one weekend getaway with him again.

i started watching your videos because i was drawn to your incredible storytelling and camera work. that can happen in any type of video. yeah, the content out in the woods is so foreign to me that it is valuable to a material human like myself, but i know without a doubt that your content will be must-see for me no matter what you are experiencing or exploring. it's about your art, your voice overs, your creativity, and you and logan! you guys are great! reach for the stars. try your best to not compare your insides to other people's outsides. you have gotten this far with your wisdom and vision. keep it up and i look forward to your future art.

Alas, it’s often not true. Outside of people actively sabotaging your goals (even sometimes saying “it’s for your own good”!), just having to fulfill your obligations to others can be seen as them holding you back. Unfortunately Isabel is exhibiting (un-self-consciously) how extremely privileged she is as a beautiful, young, white person. But this privilege is also a big part of the appeal of her channel: “I wish I could be as free as her”. But she is still growing. I hope she realizes how privileged and admired she is, and that it is her responsibility to acknowledge and account for this.

thank you for sharing and being vulnerable. I have felt/have been feeling VERY similarly to you and I think it is a natural process of learning and growing. Acknowledging it now and returning back to your own true path is the right decision. Societal pressure and fear can creep in, but always choosing to honour yourself and do what feels right for you regardless of the risks is what we need to remember. Sometimes your confidence takes a hit when you try something or desire to do something and realize it isn't what you wanted, but remember that you should feel confident you were brave enough to take the risk in the first place and brave enough to change it up when you realized it wasn't right for you. Everyone is constantly re-assessing and changing their mind and thats why we are here, nothing wrong in honouring that.
You're right about age dear. The older we get, the faster time flies. I'm 20, trapped in a 70-year-old body, lol. Don't wait, drive on.

Big fan here that has been following you since when the tiny house was just a dream and a sketch on a piece of paper. You've been part of my inspiration to move to a small town in the mountains of Canada. Please do not get discouraged or compare yourself to others. You have some special kind of sensitivity that most creators lack no matter how picture perfect their lives are. For me, the best part of your videos is not in any words, but in the delicate way you show the magic of this world. Your soft and gentle movements while cooking, working or walking in the woods. There's beauty in that, but also value, and meaning.

Isabel, I've watched/followed you from day 1. PLEASE just STOP reading these comments!! (hope you read this one though..:)..LOL) Just Stop. Other people's opinions are none of your business anyways, who cares; truly!! You are a true Blessing for your followers, etc . :). One of the blessings of getting older, is that one truly stops giving af about what others think, etc. It sounds a bit negative, but it's not at all, just freeing! You couldn't be a more beautiful person in and out Isabel and as you continue to grow and mature, you will start to see this in yourself more and more. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend you or anyone to read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck by Mark Manson. It is truly a Beautiful book that at the chore imo, is about letting go and just realizing there's truly only a couple/few things that are important. I hope you read this and buy that book, it will shift everything and you will truly NGAF about others opinions of you. Either way, I know it's prob addicting on some level to read comments, but after a short while you will be used to not reading them and you will have more Peace and Confidence again.
