Lufthansa Boeing 747-430 landing on Mexico Citys Lic Benito Juraez International Airport on RWY 5R completing flight LH498 inbound from Frankfurt. The routing of the 11 hour flight took us via England, Ireland over the North Atlantic to Canada, then to the Great Lakes, Detroit, Indianapolis to Houston and to Mexico City. Spectacular view of the city during final approach.

@armondm You're very ignorant. Every city is beautiful in it's own way. Mexico City is one of the most diverse places on the planet, and the people there are very friendly and open to one's culture. If you have nothing nice to say, it's best to not say anything at all.

You should check out the CZcams video of the same view on KLM 747 landing at Princess Julianna airport. The foot of runway is almost right at the beach.

@foxtrot789 Actually there were no smog at all. You are seeing a lot of puffy clouds. The worst downpours and thunderstorms occur usually in the last part of september and the first half of October because there are a lot of tropical moisture and its interaction with the cold fronts produces interesting things. Protyreus was so lucky to land in a runway instead of a lake in the runway or a flight diversion to ACA

I study cities all around this world and something that i like to do is look at the populations of each city. it is true, Mexico City occupies as the most populated city in Latin America and the third most populated in the world (behind Tokyo and Seoul). São Paulo is only the 7th most poputated. Although, this includes the metropolitan area.
