  • Kyoto State Guest House started a new project to commemorate the inscription of “Japan’s traditional wooden architectural techniques” on the list of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in December 2020. In this series, students will introduce the traditional artisanal techniques that are utilized in Kyoto State Guest House through video clips.
The fourth theme of this project is “Kazari Kanagu” (decorative metal fittings). Students from Kyoto Institute of Technology will introduce their techniques and charms.
Kyoto State Guest House is open to the public throughout the year.
