Kosho Nemoto / Nemoto-Glass
Founded in 1959 by Yukio Nemoto. After surviving World War II, he established his own glass studio at the age of 23. In his later years, he become the first person in the Edo Kiriko industry to receive the Medal with Yellow Ribbon (One of the medals of honor that Japanese government awards). Today, his son and grandson, the second and third generations, have inherited his passion and techniques. His numerous works have been endorsed by the Imperial Household Agency and the Prime Minister's Office and have been used as gifts for summit meetings.

On the base of the first generation's boldness and the second generation's delicacy, the third generation will establish a new expression with his sensibility and balance. for the verticals, it was a steel plate and he was just dragging the whole pencil across it

In the 1970's I worked for Stuarts Crystal in Stourbridge. The cut glass we sent out was wonderful. Sadly all gone now. Stourbridge glass is no more. Wonderful to see cutting again after all these years❤

Just recently received one of the fine master pieces. After having fine 24ct Italian and Czech crystal. These are a different dimension. Yes I'll will be buying more. So grateful for the vid. Love Japanese quality. Also have high quality Japanese knives. They are on a different level to most other cultures. Intense and proud craftsmanship ❤
Amazing.
I have beautiful thick deeply cut glass crystal bowls, cups, vases and other items. They belonged to my great grandmother and were probably made in the mid 1800’s. They were made in England and the designs are every bit as complex and perfect as these. Today companies like Waterford have two quality levels. One is for regular customers with the pieces having some cast design elements with a bit of hand work to complete the design. The good stuff is of much higher quality and design. They are entirely hand made including blowing of the glass. These are extraordinarily expensive.
Whilst Waterford Crystal is absolutely first class, this Japanese work is a level above.
