Mapes / Toe Loop Jump Tutorial on Roller Skates

This jump begins by skating backwards on a right outside edge on a slightly bent or soft knee. Our free leg is going to swing in a diagonal to plant, and plunge us into the air. While still forward facing, we plant our toestop into the ground, jump straight up, rotate, and land on the right leg on an outside edge. Check with the left leg extended to the rear and the arms out proud.
A good posture baseline must be maintained with the body square over the skating leg to ensure for a safe landing.
