Never leave the vehicle and park always put it in neutral and apply your parking brake. Leaving it in park will do damage to the transmission and the differentials. It should say that in your owners manual if you look it up which I have read from cover to cover

Well that’s impossible considering that the Yamaha Grizzly in the video doesn’t have a parking brake. And I have the manual and it doesn’t say anything about towing with the atv in park.

Can I still load a trailer without having a friend to check for the lights?

Yes. Make sure vehicle is in park and then apply signals and brake then walk to rear to check operation... I use a short pole amassing the seat to wedge down the brake pedal.

ATV should be in neutral for transport and tie-down points should be below the suspension.

The 5000lbs minus the weight of the vehicle

Worst tie down I've ever seen

Seriously? Tie down points should always be the tires themselves or as close to the wheel hub as possible. Never should you use the frame\chassis of which allows compression and bounce\movement.

If you compress the suspension enough, it can't bounce free
