Another thing to avoid the sudden ignition turning off. Turn the hazard lights on
Locked ecu from battery being drained happen to me twice while uploading hussain tune. Lukily I was with a guy that knew more than me and he had Hussain cell and we called him. Car was locked up and going nowhere otherwise.

This is my first car im modding so im new to this but basically these tunes are being created without having to actually go dyno the car correct? And if i did decide to dyno the car can any other tuner flash files onto the ecutek? I live in California so a dyno from you guys isn’t possible unfortunately
Yes! Everything can be done remotely and without a dyno, welcome to the 21st century lol. And once ur tune with us via email is done, no need to flash a different file on to dyno, unless our tuner sees a reason for a revision. Once a tune is purchased, we will walk u thru each step via emails, super simple process once u get everything set up!
I have a stock q60 would I need to get a heat exchange and new intake to get this flash tune ?
You can tune a completely stock car if you wish, but a heat exchanger at least will prevent heat soaking and give you consistent power with back to back pulls. If you plan to do mods anyways, get the tune once you have all the parts, so you won’t have to retune later after tuning it stock!
Would it still work if you get one from a q50 to a q60?
Yes, it will
Is it plug and play can you reflash it by phone anytime u want or you need a computer
If you have phone flash, yes you can flash the car at anytime with the ProECU app on your smartphone!
So do i need a deskey if i want to be using my phone flashes?
For a BMW the Deskey is required for the first initial flash, subsequent flashes can be done with phone flash if you purchase it.
If I bought a used ecutuk dongle, does the previous owner need to erase his car from it or I can still use it on my car?
No need, the EcuTek Bluetooth module is universal and can be used in multiple cars at the same time. What is locked to each car is the license associated with the ECU.
How many amps do I put on the battery charger?
10A should do fine for flashing the car and making sure it stays charged.
how do we get burble tune on this race box
By purchasing and finishing a custom tune with us, at the end we will give u a choice of different maps, burble map can be one of them.
will a deskey work on a chromebook
Unfortunately, you need a laptop that runs Windows OS.

That’s entirely up to ur specific dealer and ur relationship with them. Most dealers don’t care about some simple bolt ons and tune if the warranty work is not engine related, but still recommended to flash back to stock (if ur mods allows) when going to the dealer and remove the EcuTek module.
7:07 what do you mean by do the run ?
Do whatever log we specified, it could be a WOT 3rd or 4th gear pull, an idle log, a daily driving log, etc.

Hey there, you will only receive the DESkey if you opt for that flash option. Otherwise for phone flash users, the Bluetooth module is all you need!
Can you unplug this?
Yes, your tune is flashed to your ECU. The Bluetooth OBD2 module is only needed when connecting to the app or computer.
My ecutek does not want to pair up! It keeps telling me I have to download the app! Which I do have! So far, I'm disappointed with this product. I'm thinking about sending it back!

@Legendz nope not at! I've been emailing z1motorsports because that's where i purchased the tune, they have said that they have been getting multiple emails about this and are working with ecutek to see if its the tune or our phones. No updates on z1 yet.

Did anyone figure this problem out? I'm also having the same issue. I can find it on the app but it just won't pair. When i choose "My Car" the following page says "failed to initialize vehicle interface"

Yes, you will just need to purchase a license and select a flash option (phone flash or laptop DESkey) when you buy the tune from us.
@@goracebox it needs everything correct? That flash drive key (the device that plugs in via USB)and all the dongles ?
Only need the DESkey if u want to flash with a laptop, if u choose phone flash, the EcuTek OBD2 module and a smartphone is all u need!

My battery gave out when I was flashing mines and car got stuck in limp mode. Luckily I was able to get it back to normal.

For the flashing part, your car can only be in accessory mode (ignition on, engine off).
So I need to leave the car on accessory mode all while I wait for you guys to reply with the email?
