For Forza Horizon 5, that requires LinuxRulez. Which is hard to download because of lack of seeders
@@msab4883 Some games may run better on one or the other. The good thing about windows is that there's little to no troubleshooting required for a game to work.

If you encounter a problem with prefixes folder. This folder can be created wherever you want. You do not have to download anything. Just create a folder with the name you want and select it as your prefix folder. Make a new folder for every new game you want to install. :D I hope this help

I cant install any game from heroic, I tried using it as a lutris replacement but it fails to open installer, and when it somehow start installing im getting error, everytime when i open it, it will create "games" folder, even if i specify to install games/prefixes in different folder. I used wine-ge and proton-ge from lutris, nothing works.
Help when I try to run RE Village on steamdeck it stutters a lot in game. I'm using ge proton on game mode. How can I get rid of this shader cache stutter?

hello i installed the dodi repack i loaded the shaders but when i start it from the steam deck it gives me the vram at 230% more to premise that the game goes i'm on patch 1.1.2 it doesn't keep the 30 fps stable all basic do you have any solution for the vram?
How did you manage to run the installer on Ubuntu? When I click on "run installer first" I get my file selection box, I select the .exe file, nothing happens and I got back to the window before. chmod +x was applied.
Could you do how to run games that don't start directly like ( SNIPER ELITE 4 ) ? .. On Steam deck Desktop mode, Whenever i click on the "EXE" game icon, an interface shows up ( Cancel , Play ) if i click play, the game starts. But on GAMING MODE, the interface ( Cancel , Play ) doesn't show up, and the steam logo keeps booting..!! I would appreciate if you could help me through this 🙏

Could you try using the "Run installer first" pls. Cuz on mine, the games I tried running from the Run installer option later crashes after installation is completed.
How can I cheat in single-player games but in crack versions? For example, can I run a trainer while playing GTAV? GTAV was not started with Steamtinkerlaunch. I was going to try aurora, I could not enter the menu.

I followed tutorial perfectly but it runs at 10-20fps. Haven’t started playing just building shaders right now now but menu is supper buggy. Graphics and everything’s on low.
Must i install my quack game on pc before and then copy it to steam deck or install it from the beginning on the deck ? And my sd card must be format ext4 or it doesn't matter ?

I did this for Hogwarts legacy. The game runs in desktop mode but will only use keyboard and mouse controls instead of controller controls. In gaming mode the game launches but crashes on the seizure warning screen every time.
Ive done everything on this video. when I go to launch, I get the error saying out of date drivers detected. and the game wont play. I get an error message after the logo

I've been trying to install Spiderman Miles Morales. I have basically followed this video to install the game. But I can't seem to run it correctly. The game sometimes starts up but doesn't accept the input from the joysticks/buttons in game mode. When I try to run it using proton compatibility in steam it just doesn't start up at all. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
You have to disable steam input for that game or else the controller will not work
my Heroic doesn't have ' Staging " tab ....

i can find the installer.exe in sd card, but when the installer run it cant fine the sdcard drive, is there some command to input somewhere like steam compat mouts ?

When in the installer. There should be something there called like "My Computer", and inside that 2 drives may appear.
C: and Z:
Go to Z: , inside you should find a folder called "run"
then "media", inside it you will find your sdcard.

is it better than lutris? I think lutris has more bugs than heroic, and i even use heroic on windows instead of epic

it seems this is better that running through lutris.
You can also launch pirated games through the Heroic launcher. Well, or those that are no longer on sale, like Cleve Baker Jericho, you are empty, classic assasin 3, itch io games

Most of my games are non-steam games so i just use heroic launcher only or should also add it on my steam too.
Nice video! You explain very well, continue with the excellent work. I'm kinda new on steam deck scene, in your opinion... is this method better than using Lutris? Normally I install direct on steam with non steam game, and as an alternative, by lutris but never installed by heroic...
I wouldn't say better but this is more beginner friendly.

Noob question(don't own a deck). Do we have to wait for the shaders to build upon each launch of the same game or only during first launch?
Pretty sure only official stream games are able to make their shader cache on the deck

Whenever I try to add a new game in heroic launcher if I type in the title of the game, the finish button is greyed out. Do you know why this happens?

@@socinety no, I gave up and installed Tiny 11 on a separate v30 A2 sd card. Now running every game smoothly.

I ended up using lutris btw, was trying to install fifa 19 and couldn’t run the game. but turns out I just needed to tinker with configuration a bit.

Make a "Games" folder wherever you want. If you're gonna do it in the Internal, atleast put the Games folder in the home.

You may be browsing on the wrong folder. Join the discord server and show us the directory that you're browsing in the installer

@@JDRosSigh I tried it and it didn't work this repack has been giving me hell for the past couple of days and I haven't been able to find any useful guides on installation errors on Steam Deck. Hopefully you'll make something like that in the future
This is just a guess but maybe your installer files are corrupted.
• Maybe your PC antivirus ruined it.
• Maybe you transferred the files from PC to the Deck using wireless transfer, which sometimes corrupts the files.
Please consider redownloading, preferably straight from the deck just to check if corruption is the problem.

Different games may require different methods to run, different dependencies, even different troubleshooting.
This video is the basics, you may have to experiment until you can make your game work.

Try Steam Method instead. I believe Wildlands don't actually require any dependency to run.
Add it to steam then use latest Proton.

Yes, same problem as well. Even if you set your UMA to 4GB, the game will still detect 2GB.

It really depends on the game if it doesn't require much troubleshooting, stick to Steam or Heroic
