I remember exactly how I found this band. Back in like 2019, I went to a coding bootcamp in Brooklyn. There was a girl there who actually looked kinda like a shorter version of Maria, and we were exchanging music recs. She told me about them, and I liked it, but didn’t become a super fan till maybe 2 years later, when they came back up on shuffle in a massive Spotify playlist of mine. Decided to deep dive into their albums upon re-listening and have not looked back.

I've had such an obsession with them recently. They're so good.
literally, their music is so beautiful, something so different that just attracts the soul, it’s so calming and soothing for the person trying to relax or find whatever they need to go ahead and do, this band is just that, a place where you can fix, grow, love, and just feel their music 😫

listened to this 1st ever debut of the MV, it aint a large gap but i now felt what older guys felt when younger generations listened to them.
I went to the taco place down the street from me at 3am on acid and they were playing Déjate Llevar. Surrounded by fluorescent pictures and neon signs on an outdoor porch, I enjoyed my tacos in dreamland. That's how I discovered The Marias.
