I'm so sick of moms saying this, making it all about them and not the kid. The focus becomes on comforting the "not ok" parent instead of, you know, the child who is going to school for the first time and could very well be anxious about it but they can't show that because it's their parent that has already claimed the "not ok" designation. Parents are entitled to have feelings but I think it's wild how amazed these parents are that the humans they created are, gasp, growing up. If you want something to stay cute, small, and nonverbal, get a dang doll.
Don't worry she will be fine! I remember with my son, i was crying so hard and worried. He was fine and could not wait to go, and he made friends right away and he was so happy and had the best day. It is hard but you will be ok also.

People get caught up in hormones and the excitement of a new relationship and it makes them make stupid decisions. Also, we are all just animals being driven by evolution to procreate, our strongest driving force. I was extremely lucky that the dude I got pregnant with a month into our relationship turned out to be an awesome dad. We are still together (almost 11 years). But I am well aware I could’ve just as easily ended up a single mom with a deadbeat baby daddy. Some of it is luck and some of it is being aware of why you are choosing who you are choosing. I chose my partner specifically because he doesn’t lie (I absolutely hate liars). Turns out dudes who don’t lie make good fathers and life long partners.
