Thank you for the voice over narration with speeded up footage. It saves time for the viewers. There are so many CZcams creators that waste time getting out supplies, setting up, or filming repetitious tasks.
Also thanks for sharing such pretty dainty gifts. It is inspiring.
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it, there will be more coming ☺️
Minna Humble ..Absolutely right..
Very elegant work
I totally appreciate that you always mention that everything in life needs practice. It’s so encouraging! And true of cause. I don’t get discouraged when decoupaging but sometimes when I do other things in life. I always think, I should already be good at it, even when I haven’t done it before. Thank you so much , I will remind myself of what you said!
I have recently found you and glad I did. I also appreciate your voice-over method of presentation saving time. I read all the comments to get to know you better as I do with all the channels I might be interested in subscribing to. I can't believe I wasted precious time reading comments on fingernails. Didn't see that coming. Keep doing what you do and "thank you" for sharing your talent with so many. I'll be watching you. Donna, in California, USA.
Thank you so much Donna! I also think that voiceovers are much better for certain types of videos but I am also still experimenting with what works best both for me and for people that watch so bare with me if my format changes here and there :) and about the nails - I guess that some people just have too much time on their hands :D :D:D
Love your tutorial and the fact that you speeded up the 'boring' processes, but left the imporant parts well illustrated. Many thanks.
Lovely work, and as per many of the comments here, the voice over, speeded up footage, clear presentation and advice is really good. Many thanks!
Just wanted to say that your idea of using extra fine steel wool is right on. I ran an antique furniture and wood refinishing shop for years and found that steel wool gave the best results over sandpaper or emery cloth. Great tip that I haven't seen any other DIY channels suggest. Cheers.
Love this!! I saved a lot of holiday cards over the years. I see some very vintage/shabby ornaments fir the grandkids made from them! Thank you!!
I just came across your channel and I’m definitely going to try your method!!! I tried different methods from different CZcams channels but none of them were successful as they peeled off and the ink went off as well!! Thank you for sharing :)
I love this!! You did an awesome job explaining! I love watching and listening to you while you create! Stay safe!❤️😊👍
Thank you Mary! Thank you for your kind words! ❤️
Awesome. I really appreciate this. I learned something new. This was such a sweet picture.Thank you for sharing.

What a brilliant tutorial. I'm going to try it. Well done and thank you x.
This is so amazing love, love your picture
¡¡Precioso trabajo!!...felicidades y gracias x compartir,un saludo desde España
Thanks for showing us this. I'm amazed that the ink jet print didn't smudge when the varnish was applied so I'm eager to try your method. Usually, the tutorials say to use a laser print. I was too busy watching and enjoying your tutorial to notice your nail polish or absence of.
cherry grace I’d like to know this too before paying for items & getting very disappointed 😭
This is so pretty ! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you!
Your project is terrific, and your instructions are clear and easy to understand! Thank you so very much.

Très beau !!! merci pour cette vidéo .💐
Travail soigné.👍
Thank you. This is beautiful!! Can you list the supplies that you used?
Absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞💞
Thanks for the video...it is so much different from the Mod Podge ones and I as a photographer have tons of paper to use so thanks tons for the great video.
One of my patients looked my hands, and said she could tell I was a hard worker. She was an Eastern European immigrant that was also hard working. I took it as one of my favourite compliments.
Haha well that explains why my hands are always like that then, must be coz I’m an Eastern European immigrant myself 😄 I don’t think many hard workers manage to keep their hands and nails looking glamorous, we have other things to worry about! 🌸😘
Love this tutorial.
I really appreciate the handcraft, very fantastic. I wish to have more information to put this to practice
I really enjoyed this video
That's an elegant picture of Mordecai,
Good show! 🍭
Absolutely fantastic! Video very good, no time wasting, just how to complete the project. Brilliant, thank you
Thank you !
You can use brown paper bag or Kraft paper instead of steel wool. It’s a lot cleaner and smooths out paint and varnish to a satiny surface with no clean up
Lovely Ivet! It's so satisfy to watch this videos from you, Love them all and you are amazing 😍🥰😊
Thank you so much Catrin! ❤️ hopefully it won’t be long till the next one! 😄
I loved it!
Wow really an artist❤
Gracias por compartir, trabajo fantástico 🇪🇸
So pretty!
Great video. Very informative. Thanks.
Thank you! ❤️
So cute!!
Splendid!
Great video, thank you!!
Really enjoy your presentation. Your nails are fine.
Love it!
Hi, I was just wondering if you can use Mod Podge Gloss varnish on this project? Thanks
Hi Thanks for sharing your beautiful project with us crafters. Really enjoyed your video.
Best regards
Jujue
I have been wondering how to t do this. Thanks so much. 💚
Hello, thank you for this video :)
Please, does the ink come out of the MDF Plate in any chance after the vernish is dry? (i mean while removing the paper from the MDF)
Very nice!
The blue bird picture is beautiful
Thank you for your diy.
excellent work!!!!
This looks beautiful! I am always in awe of the process and the result that it leads to. Have you done any of these as decorative wall plaques without the key knobs as well? They would look so nice. I am quite upset that I cannot order any from you due to shipping, lol!
The fact that it is a picture made me wonder if it would be an option to offer this as a personalized item with people's own pictures of their family or whatever picture they've taken. They could send you the picture they would like to have on whatever surface you offer like a plaque or any of the products that would be appropriate. Or even something like the heart ornaments to go on the Christmas tree but with kid or family pictures. I've seen people who put pictures of their kids into ornaments to go on on the tree.
I've thought since I came across you on the other channel that you truly have the nicest voice to listen to.
Thank you lovely 😊 I know, the postage can be silly expensive but to be honest smaller items like this one shouldn’t be too bad or little hearts or coasters for example I know I sent coasters to USA not long ago and it cost me around £6 so it’s not an insanely huge price I think Canada should be the same so if you think you would like something smaller / lighter I could definitely look in to it for you. And of course for you any personalisation and anything else you might want 😄
About the personalised things with peoples photos - to be honest I thought about that but It really doesn’t appeal to me all that much I am very selfish and enjoy having the creative freedom however maybe I really should start doing something like that - that would be more likely to make me some money 😄
Love it
I can use glue varnish to do this photo transfer ?
Thank you for sharing your talented I do remember doing this in school so thank you for bring it back into my life but you also could us mod pod it does the same thing plus you will not get dizzy that stuff you are using is not good only with a mask on thank you I did subscribe to your channel
It is WATER BASED!
I tried a similar method on canvas and I was really curious to see if it's going to work on mdf, thank you for the video!
Please how did it come out on mdf
Lovely picture, thank you for sharing, its very useful instruction. If you are in UK try maybe Polyvine decorators varnish and Polyvine heavy duty wood varnish. Works like charm, also makes backup transparent and id waterproofing and uv and heat resistant. This company is UK brand, easy to buy online at The Brewers. I was using Wilko varnish but I am more happy with Polyvine
Beautiful
Very, very nice. A lot of work though. Beautiful project. Wow.
haha thank you, I tend to over complicate things :D
That's great that a regular inkjet printer can be used!
A little late to the party on this. I think it’s great. I’ve tried this method and my image, when transferred, looks matte and after final gloss still looks dull. Any thoughts?
Thank you very much for this amazing vedio
I wanna ask if I can apply the same process on cement surface
Thanks 😘
lovely information and video :)
Thank you!
Just subscribed to your channel💕
Do you use Mod podge as well or do you think varnish better
Hello! Your project is beautiful, I loved it. How long do you let the varnish dry when applying it to the mdf and the photo or do I immediately start waxing? Thanks you
thank you, I varnish the MDF, then sand down and then when I go to transfer it i varnish the paper, then mdf then paper again as fast as I can before the varnish starts to set hope this makes sense
thank you for this, what is the name and brand of the ' gloss varnish' that you used ?
You said that you can use this process for transferring a photo, does it work for photos that have been printed at a photo kiosk or do you have to print the photo from your printer? Also, do you have any tips for using other paper products, such as an out of date calendar or a magazine? I’ve been wanting to use several old calendars and transfer them onto a pour painted canvas for wall decorations for my daughters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA
What a neat👌
Which paper do you use to transfer the photos? I tried with inkjet photo paper but it was hard to get the paper out
Your work is amazing. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was just wondering will water based satin varnish will work the same way because that's what I have right now.
I prefer gloss over satin or matt for this because of the mattifying element in varnish, it might dull the colours down a little but it will still work so if that's all you have at the moment, it'll do! :)
Interesting method! I'm planning to transfer an image on a wood block for the purpose of relief printing and I will anyway put a shellac varnish on the wood to prevent the carving surface from chipping from wrong places. I wonder if shellac will catch the image similarly as the varnish you used. I'll try to remember to report back here how it went if anybody else wonders the same question.
Thank you for sharing. Its beautiful! What do you use to paint on the wooden surface & front of the photo please?.
I painted it with acrylic white paint but if you mean for transferring - I used gloss water based varnish
تحفة حقيقي very nice
Great video looking forward to more of the same👍
great content, thanks for these - I'm trying to place your accent but the nearest I can get is Norwegian!! (but with a hint of Irish...:D)
Thank you! haha, my accent is all over the place, I am originally from Latvia, been living in UK for the past 10 years tho and half of them I spent in Grimsby and half in Norwich so go figure :D :D it's a very eclectic mix :D
Sorry if I have missed something obvious, but I'm just not clear on this one point. After you have painted, dried and sanded your plaque, you move on to applying three layers of varnish. Please can you clarify whether these have to dry individually, ie varnish - dry - varnish - dry - varnish - be sure to dry completely before moving on to actually applying the picture OR do you simply brush the plaque three times with a coat of varnish, one on top of the other, to make a thick layer before leaving it to dry thoroughly? All your techniques are beautifully demonstrated, so I'm sure it's just me being a bit dim. Thanks for your hard work.
Thanks for a great tutorial, can you get a similar effect using printer paper on the acrylic painted wood surface?
Yes as long as its printed using laser printer. On normal inkjet printer you have to use photo paper otherwise ink will run ☺️
Can I do the same technique to clay pots? Or to any surface?
Could it be crackle glazed after the coat of varnish
Do you have to sand if it is chalk paint?
if we use mod podge matt, it will work? Green paint you use is acrylic?
hey do you wait for the layer of varnish to dry on image or you just apply it and can we use mod podge instead and also not varnish the base
Hey no, I don’t wait you have to be quite quick when doing this step, layer of varnish on photo, then quickly on your item and then straight away on the photo again ☺️ I wouldn’t know about mod podge, I only ever use varnish sorry
Привет из России. Очень красиво, умница)))
