    Great features the Chord-Mode and the Strumming-Mode, but, to be really useful in Live performances, I suggest :
    1) Replacing the rotary knob for changing the chords types with dedicated buttons for each type of chords (dedicated button for the major chords, dedicated button for the minor chords, dedicated button for the 7th chords, etc.), these dedicated buttons allow the user to change quickly the cords types in Live performances.
    2) Adding two dedicated buttons for the Strumming-Up and Strumming-Down functions, these dedicated buttons allow the user to change quickly the Strumming types in Live performances.

    The scale mode is not so clear to me. What happens after i've selected a scale?
    I would love a feature found in old Casio/Yamaha keyboards. Split keyboar first 12 (or a bit more) note dedicated to chord playing and the remaining notes on the right using the scale quantize function.
    Ideally, I could select what kind of chord I play (one note: major, two notes:minot (if the 2nd note is on a black key). And on the right part of the keyboard, all notes would be on a pentatonic (or something else) scale, making it impossible to play o note out of tune.
    I guess that this is not possible here?

      @ArturiaOfficial  Před 3 lety

      Hi, unfortunately it's not possible for now but I've sent this suggestion to our product team.

    • @mkiswatoo
      @mkiswatoo Před 3 lety

      @@ArturiaOfficial Merci.
      Isn't it possible either to split the keyboard (half left for the chord mode, right just for regular notes?)
      In some cases the scale doesn't seem appropriate(if you play chords for a long time, if there's a change of tone during the song, etc.)
      This caracteristic is found on the old Amstrad CKX100 & above all in the Omnichord.
      imho it would be a definitive plus for your product -and it's pretty simple to develop-. There would definitly be not 'wrong' wrong as for each chord I play with one finger on the left, my right hand can only play notes contained in the scale of the chord.

    • @mart6571
      @mart6571 Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@ArturiaOfficial @patgrady Hi, I hope I've understood the question: chord mode produces diatonic chords if keyboard is quantised to major scale. E.g. setting scale to C major and setting chord type to 'major', will produce Cmaj, Dmin, Emin, Fmaj, Gmaj, Amin, Bdim. Choosing 'maj7' adds the correct 7th on top of those, except on dim7 (e.g. Bdim7 gets A instead of Ab). I didn't try all the chord types like 9, 11, etc, but it seems a fairly solid way to record in-key chord progressions. I hope this helps,

      @@ArturiaOfficial So, as I understand you can only delete steps while the sequence is playing, right? By hitting a note / rest at the right time, right?
      I think it would be awesome if one could scroll/tap through the individual steps (the display would show the step you're currently on) and then program in additional notes or delete existing ones... Like for example, it adds a note if that particular note is not yet present on the step, and deletes it if you hit a note which was already present. I think it would be a great functionality, but don't know whether it collides with other functionalities, or if the interface/software is 100% suitable for this kind of workflow.

      KeyStep 37 allows you to carry 8 sequences with you at all times. But you can store an
      unlimited number of sequences using the MIDI Control Center. So be sure to back up your
      hard work to your computer often.
      And once the sequences are safely stored on your computer it is possible to hand-pick sets

    Similarly to make some clanky-clanky sounds, simply do some other non intuitive complicated thing ...
    15 minutes later ...
    To learn how to play some real music, simply learn how to read and write music, learn a little music theory and how to play an actual instrument. Not nearly as easy, but much more rewarding for both yourself and the listener.
