    Tazer Mini (New & Better Option): amzn.to/3b0mOuP
    If you've just installed a bigger set of tires on your Jeep JL Wrangler and are in need of re-calibrating your speedometer, you can go to your dealership and pay $150 to have it done or you can get a TAZER JL Programmer for a Jeep JL Wrangler and do it yourself! Made by Z Automotive, the TAZER JL is a super compact programmer that that plugs into your OBDII and works off the screen in the middle of your instrument cluster and the buttons on your steering wheel. Of course, not only will you be able to set your own tire size, there's a ton of other things you can do with it including, changing your gear ratio after installing new gears, turning off your TPMS or changing its threshold and really, so much more. The TAZER JL also has LIVE functions, the ability to still use it while plugged in and options for it include things like, being able to turn off your Auto Start/Stop System and Traction Control. And, as silly as it may sound, it even has fun options like a light show with 6 different modes. The best part about the TAZER JL is that Z Automotive constantly makes firmware updates for it and they can be downloaded using their Program Utility software. With all that said, the following short video will show you just how easy it is to install and use on your Jeep JL Wrangler. We hope you enjoy.

    Hello Eddie, another great video! I am a new Jeeper and love watching all your videos. When you first had the tire size flashed at the dealership did they make you pay extra for a warranty clause? I also had my JLUR flashed at the Dealership and FCA confirmed as of 5/8/2018 for warranty protection I had to sign a clause/addendum and pay the $130 flash fee and $175 warranty addendum fee. Wayalife I’m thinking of getting this just for the fun of being able to adjust additional settings...for me, the lockers option in 4h and turning off the start/stop makes it worth the price. I’d imagine that you should always remove the taser when taking the car in for service, and also I’m assuming it doesn’t leave any trace for FCA to see that you had the taser installed previously?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  Před 3 lety

      It depends on which one you have. If you have the mini, you need to leave it in all the time. If you have the big one like what you see in this video, you can remove it but some of the functions will not work with it out. The icon you are seeing is the collision prevention, if you changed out your bumper and no longer have the sensors, you need to turn them off.

    @dirtheaddavis366 Před 6 lety

    Ok, here is a scenario. I want to run 37s on my JL, so do I need the Tazer JL to ensure that it correctly reads the right tire pressure for each tire? And would I need aftermarket tpms sensors/valve stems?

    • @wayalife
      @wayalife  Před 6 lety

      If you want to keep your TPMS, you can either have your tire shop recycle your factory sensors or you can have new ones installed. You would need something like a Tazer JL to recalibrate your speedometer AND to either turn off your TPMS or set the values of them lower but you do not need it to keep the sensors reading correctly.

    My winters are actually smaller than my stock tires by 1.5 inches and I’m about 7 kmph off (speedometer shows 110kmph when actually only driving 103). Is my odometer based off of the tire rotations because with my calculations I’ve added about 400 kms extra to the odometer that I have not actually driven. Would really appreciate a reply thanks.

    After you plugged in the Tazer unit you opened the door and got into the Jeep. Doesn't the Tazer go under the dash, also? The door would have already been open. Unless it was an editing thing.
