People may not realize how difficult this training is with a Tibetan Spaniel. They have an independent nature. They do not have a strong food drive like some other breeds. They are not naturally inclined to obedience training. It can be hard to teach them a good recall. This took a special dog and a special person. They are obviously enjoying each other very much.
My little princess can do most of those tricks except she doesn’t like to roll over. You are so correct, Tibbie are very intelligent & independent, they only do when they like to, you have to make it fun & to please them. Miss my Princess terribly……………
Mirabell is a miracle. I've raised 15 tibbies, they all did what they wanted, period. No, actually I'm being unfair, they have trained me very well to bring them snacks, to know who preferred each fruit, I've learned several tricks. lol
I rescued a Tibetan Spaniel chihuahua mix 17 years ago. He was pretty smart and I loved playing problem solving games with him. He learned fast. Listens to me but he was also independent non clingy dog. I will miss him.
My tibbie learned peek a boo when she wanted to hide from being under the covers of my bed. She knew she wasn’t to be there. It was so funny, I could never really get angry and sometimes I let her off, sometimes I just gently picked her up and put her back in her own bed close by. They are independently minded dogs which is what I love about them!
What an amazing Tibbie! Yes, Tibbles ARE trainable, but it takes a lot of patience. These little four-legged treasures become bored quite easily; so, the real "trick" is to keep their training sessions brief and fun. Challenging, yes...but well worth the effort!
wow ...smart puppy. Our Spaniel is 7 and still loves to learn new tricks. We call her Dolly Lama . We think she understands english because she knows everything we are doing and going to do.
We rehomed a dog during the pandemic and they said he was a peekapom. Very similar. But recently, the new icon on my google account identified him as a Tibetan Spaniel! His personality and features fit exactly. I love reading these posts!
The music is kind of sad ;n; But your dog is beautiful and you've done an amazing job teaching so many tricks! Tibbies can be challenging so this is just great work. Good on ya :)
Mine was the same.. no treats, no listening unless he felt I would get mad if he wouldn't sit... and quiet angry growling when I made him go inside when he didn't want to... so much sass..
B'Elanna Flagg Well thats because you have not got the ability or brain cells to do that, simple. Try to relate to yr dog, & maybe feed it regulat meals, that might help, if not give it away to a family, that care
I understand you completely B'Elanna Flag. There is nothing of the "relate to your dog" thing. I've loved, and lived intensely each of them lives by my side, every morning, afternoon and evening. Tibbies are simply like this, they are sooo intelligent that they simply don't want to do repetitive things. Their personality is too strong for this "alpha" imposition thing. I'm glad they did what they wanted, and lived very happy lives!
Mirabell is adorable and simply amazing. My Tibby looked just like her but acted like a 14lb Marley. I spent thousands on dog trainers and everyone of them gave up on him stating this is a very difficult breed to train. In time Rocco figured out how to train me to answer his every barking desire. I even called in a famous pet psychic and you wouldn't believe the stuff he told her. He told her he'd only pee outside if he was given a piece of cheese. From that day forward every time he had to pee he would bark so I'd watch him do it so that he got a treat. Then the little bugger would pretend to pee even when he didn't have to in order to get a treat. This breed is so smart but only get one if you have major patients. Call me crazy but I love to have another Rocco. Their mischievous personalities make them so adorable and unforgettable. Oh and they are thieves, Rocco would steal anything and everything he could. I can not even count how many times he stole my business partners lunch. Watching him chase him around the conference table trying to get back his meatball sandwich was one of the funniest things you've ever seen.
WOW u did a great job! I got my Tibbiegirl Gawa since 2th day of christmas 2019.. Such great dogs, but need a consistent loving hand while raising them up. Very intelligent and quick learners! I adore Tbbies. Great loyal companions💖🐶
We adore your dog very much. It's impressive for a one-year old dog to be doing like 100 tricks! We have a Tibetan Spaniel, too. Our tibetan spaniel's name is Sadie.
WOW, so well trained. My fella Freddie will raise a paw when asked to and will sit and roll for a treat. He is so food orientated. However generally speaking he is the master of his own behaviour and will give me a look as if to say "do it yourself, what do you think I am, a dog?" Here is a little video of him: czcams.com/video/pXt5dbLiUk8/video.html
Lucia Teodora Ocraim It's almost impossible to get a Tibetan Spaniel. They're native in Tibetan. They're very rare to get them in America. You can get them online but they're worth over a grand. Even if you get it, it'll take months. It'll be rough but when you see that tiny bundle of joy, it'll be worth it. Trust me, I have that. I may not be able to go through that nor that it was intended to. My Tibbie (Nickname For Tibetan Spaniel) came from an abusive home. When my brother brought him home, he was so scared of us, even though he just met us. He trembled so badly, peed because of being frightened and would try to hide. But very poorly. Time went on and he slowly started warm up. Even more when he had a friend/lover. But when we gave him away because he got in trouble and my parents didn't want him no more, my Tibbie was heartbroken. He spent weeks looking for weeks. Today he still does. He always at there favorite spot where they hang. Ever since that day, he's been very clingy to me. Even though I promise I'll bring him back, I can tell that look on his eyes. He was alone even though I'm here for him. I may not know his backstory but I can tell that look on his eyes that it was not good. I may not know his real name but when he came into my life, the sunset behind the trees started to sparkle in Autumn. When I searched 'Sparkle' and 'Autumn', I got a name for him. 'Sparkles in Autumn'..... My Akito....
I don't get teaching "tricks". "Give me your paw! Roll over!" What for? It's pointless to me. The only training I'm interested in is good manners. My dogs have to be nice/fun to live with. I like a sweet, well mannered dog. That's why I'm getting a Tibby. Gonna name him Tashi. (Fortunate One).
How is Mirabell doing? Can you post more videos? I hope to get a Tibbie this Spring. Btw you should “pin” this comment to the top so viewer can easily find part 2 😊 I love your tricks and your beautiful Tibbie she is so smart and beautiful 😍

Beautiful breed and very intelligent!
My Tibbie died 3 months ago, he was my heart and soul best support dog in the world and son. Saved my life xo

I just saw this. How lovely and well-trained she is. I hope she is still well and happy.
She is very well and happy. She is almost 7 years old now ❤️

I'm amazed! My tibbie doesn't like treats and is very independent, so it's almost impossible to train him.
Me too! I'm amazed. my little guy always did his own thing.
Mine was the same.. no treats, no listening unless he felt I would get mad if he wouldn't sit... and quiet angry growling when I made him go inside when he didn't want to... so much sass..
Our neighbors just got a Tibetan Spaniel pup, about 7 weeks old. Cute as all get out. Be fun to watch her grow and change.
Mirabell is so adorable and well trained!!! Cute puppies like mirabell make me feel warm and fuzzy.
mirabell isn't a puppy, she looks like a grown dog, tibbies don't get very tall :)
So good how you train your Tibetan spaniel mine doesn't listen she just runs and does what she wants
B'Elanna Flagg Well thats because you have not got the ability or brain cells to do that, simple. Try to relate to yr dog, & maybe feed it regulat meals, that might help, if not give it away to a family, that care
then your dog does not recognize you as the alpha .

Valeria Bello completely right
Bruh when I try to train her she just jumps onto my couch and ask for a tummy rub
He is soooo cute and smart!!!😍😍😍
Reminds me so much of my own tibbie.

We adore your dog very much. It's impressive for a one-year old dog to be doing like 100 tricks! We have a Tibetan Spaniel, too. Our tibetan spaniel's name is Sadie.
super!!
I love Tibbies :)
No you dont lmao
I taught mine to dance by standing and juming around while spinning its really funny and cute
and to sit and lay down but the only tricks he knows are those three dancing sittting and laying down
Your Tibbie is so good mine is rlly stupid but I love her so much
Tibbies are so intelligent that they simply ignore this training thing. :)
Nuh-uh. No Tibbie is stupid. Your Tibbie has merely limited herself to ONE trick: the trick of playing dumb to avoid learning others.
Well done!❤
Wish I could get my tibbie to learn these we are stick on sit down and shake.
