I'm 9 days out from full extractions and I can for a fact say everything you said is exactly what I'm going thru right now. Got my 1st soft reline done yesterday and omg it feels like I have horse teeth in my mouth. Can't even bite into a peanut butter and jelly sandwich yet. The struggle is real! Not completely happy with the way my immediate dentures look on my, but I know this is just the beginning and the immediate's will never fit like my perm's will when I get them. But one thing I am wondering about though is this. If you can't completely relax your jaw when you bite down, and feels like there is a little bit more you can go, but the denture stops you from being able to bite down all the way like you use too, should you tell you dentist that your bite is off and you can't really close your mouth all the way? Feels like I have a guard over my teeth there are so bulky feeling.
I got my immediates a few weeks ago. It is hard sbd a lot if sore spots so far. I have a great provider/denture technician who's adjusting as I need it.
Yes great information I haven't been able to wear my bottoms since after extraction because of a bone spicule but I go back to the oral surgeon to have it removed and hopefully I can get them in and progress
I just got my teeth done Wednesday. I can’t wear my bottoms at all. I have bone disease. Do you think that’s why? I told the office they said just try n wear them the best you can. But they look like those fake costume teeth.

I am having so much trouble i'm ready to give up. 11 weeks in with my "instant" uppers and lowers, and I still can't even keep them in my mouth for more than 10 minutes, then it takes days for the pain to go away from those 10 minutes. I feel like the teeth are way to damn big, I can't swallow, i throw up from gagging (i am not a gagger), my lips won't even go together, slobber is a steady stream dribbling from my lips. I bought a gauge and there is a little over 1" between the furrows when the teeth are put together where my ridges would sit. My dentist says i will just have to get used to them, but after 11 weeks of trying, it just isn't possible. My natural teeth/ jaw position closed was way way smaller than it is with these horse teeth.
hi im 22 days in from having my top jaw teeth removed im having a lot of jaw pain at the moment edges feel really sharp in places on the gum cant hold the suction to much now i have not had my bottom jaw teeth removed yet still have 2 weeks before they are removed but the top jaw teeth over lap my bottom by loads so its possible to try and eat with them in
My E-Day is July 11th. I'm retired, mostly at home with my lovely wife of 42 years. I think I'm going with the permanent denture. Top and bottom teeth removed, bone spurs ground down and leaving with no teeth. I can survive on tomato soup and jello and mashed potatoes until i heal enough for permanents. I have periodontal real bad and have had a heart attack Needs to br done and I friends and relatives tell me IMMEDIATE dentures are not worth it if you don't have to be in a job or other situations that require you to have teeth. JMO
Shit I can’t chew at all maybe when I’m able to put clue on bottom denture and top denture put top really fit pretty good but some time when I say the f word it wants to shoot out my mouth 😂 bottom ones them things want to shoot out when I eat soup
Very informational. I live a distance from my provider so it will be interesting :) I wish my provider was as pretty as you - would make it easier to go in LOL
My problem is not the looks of the provider it is her defensiveness that gives me anxiety to go for an office visit. I am made to feel guilty as to why are you 'complaining" when I say something is hurting... " honey your mouth is so out of shape ( my bones have been receeding at a fast rate) it is very hard to wrk with " "honey you need to recognize that it is going to hurt" "I am really trying hard...' look at this problem here" yes yes yes! I did not blame you for anything you ask how it feels i say i cannot close my mouth... it hurts here or it cuts there, etc etc. And because I cannot drive these days i am dependent on my son taking me there quite a distance, so forget about any extra visits... He actually always doubles on me saying you have to get used to it. Hoping for adjustments is luxuary... I am asking for too much especially at my age . I am not patient.... etc etc SO IT HAS BEEN 7 DAYS AND i still cannot cut or chew soft veggies. Still swallowing everything... S😢😢o I am caught with the anxiety of how to express my need to have adjustments to be made vs it sure does not look like anything I thought I would be comfortable with..... i am supposed to shut up and smile and be thankful.... Yes I am thankful but in a lot of pain too.

My mom doesn't use her's but my dad never took his out. The fit means everything.
