Accuphase 👍🏻
Yamaha..... !
super
In Italia S.P. : Accuphase E-280 5.100€, Yamaha A-S2200 2.600€
Accuphase E-280 is $6995 in the US, Yamaha A-S2200 can be found for about $3100-3500.
Accuphase crazy cheap in Japan
Frankly, what matters the most is the sound quality and from my comparison Yamaha sounds better, but you have to listen to it after it was "burned-in" for more than 100 hours. Accuphase's sound is not natural, it sounds too processed, if I would want colored sound, I'd use an external DSP to my liking. Also, Accuphase is highly overpriced outside of Japan while Yamaha can be found for reasonable price and is better supported, too. Accuphase's color choice is questionable, IMHO. The price was not a determining factor for me, I was also looking at McIntosh MA5300, but Yamaha won me over with its sound.
I already understand that you really like natural sounds and I do too.
