Just a reminder, Spiteswarm Hive only adds +3 to NORMAL moves and charges. So if you run or auto run you won't get that 3". Warsinger adds +3 to all movement though not just run rolls to clarify what you stated in your list explanations.
Yep Michael is aware of that he never added the hive onto a run move. And he misspoke on the warsinger explanation. thank you for clarifying that though people are going to be watching this to see what is possible for the new sylvaneth. It would be helpful it Michael explained things correctly lol

Great battle report- that was really fun! I'll take a BR with Sylvaneth any day of the week!
I like how Belthanos looks and his abilities are pretty good, but I find his damage lacking. I would prefer to have Drycha almost every the time. It sounds like his abilities performed really well this game. I couldn't really tell since I wasn't thinking about movement stuff as a viewer.
IMO Belthanos is a support piece that can fight if needed, he isnt at outright strong as some of our other hammers but fundamentally changes how the army can play.
we dont need hammers as Sylv, for that we have Swordnoths or Durthu
Happy to see my trees do so well. I may drop spellsinger for warsinger, too. Seems to help things overall. Warsong Rev has been a waste of points in my last few games.
Warsinger might be the way moving forward in this new belthanos world

and i converted my old Kroq-Gar to a Saurus Scar-Veteran on Aggradon as they are the same size :)
used the Metal Carnososaur and an old Scar Veteran on cold one, the one with skaven pelts :D
I like the old metal Carnosaur! I think its so cool to see classic models like that still getting love and still getting play on the table top.
in battleround 4 your Warsong Revenant cast Verdurous Harmony, that is a ress not a heal.however, do not think it would have an effect on the outcome of the match.

Your correct i miss remembered that rule, would have been better to res the model than heal the wounded kurnoth.

Ive been away from AoS for a while. Can you use cp’s on allies? You used it on the sce allies to Keep Them from running.
You can use cp on any friendly model/unit unless stated otherwise :)

Hey guys thank you for your battle reports which are really cool!!, now i'm bit confuse about warsinger. I think warsinger is an aspect of war and cant be taken by the warsong revenant, only aspect of renewal. Please confirm that
Aspects of war are linked to Sylvaneth Heros which the warsinger is a Sylvaneth Hero.

Yes, he has the potential to do 28 damage, with solid rend. Pretty scary model for 360ish points lol

Aggradons used correctly can be our best hammer in coalesced. They need placing where you want them and really are only good in 6s. They need some buffs though as well. They’ve always been my MVP. FYI the hero phase move happens at the start so before spells.

Aggradons are good, but you need to out them where you need them so they don't get picked off before they make an impact.
They're amazing for passing the double by popping the Starseer 5+ Ward, buffing them with Mystic Shield, and shipping them in to blender for two turns.
mystic shield and the ward would make them much more survivable and also make their rage meter actually work. Matt and i were talking off camera about how it can be hard to pick when to use that ward ability. Im in favor of battle round 2 just in case i get doubled going into 3
@@BattleshockWargaming I've run Aggradons quite a bit lately, and they're my top performers. They've never dissapointed when I get them in the fights they should be in.
can someone explain to me how durthu has 7 attacks ? while also being able to strike in melee and get out before anybody can fight back ? what is this, it looks utterly broken as there seem to be absolutely no way to stop this or even hurt the guy. While he casually dish out 15-20 wounds a turn. Its nowhere on his warscroll so I am very confused.
Durthu gets an extra attack for being near a tree. D3 additional attacks for a relic. And the strike and fade is an army wide rule. Put it all together you have a cruise missile
Due, Sylvaneth is the army that scares me the most. When properly piloted it has infinet possibilities...You can never take your foot off the gas against them
you are correct. some players play to conservative against sylvaneth and that lets me just pick all the engagements and just tear them apart. Need to shut them down and stop all the movement

Good battle. I think he forgot his starseer can give a 5+ ward to some units once per battle.

Hello. New Sylvaneth player here. What ability are you using to strike and fade with Durthu?
This is a battle trait available to all Sylvaneth models included in a Sylvaneth army. In YOUR turn, after fighting with a unit, you may redeploy. You can only use this ability once in each of your turns. Hope that helps :) Rule can be found in the Sylvaneth Battle Tome or on Wahapedia

Strike and fade is a sylvaneth battle trait. In your turn, one unit can teleport away after it fights

Hey guys just wanted to say great batrep, though I think you got one rule wrong. Regarding Primal Dice, like with blizzard at @30:05 it doesn't work like that. To have the spell unstoppable you have to roll two sixes but at least one needs to be rolled in the original casting roll and at least another one needs to be rollled in the Primal Dice added later to the roll, you can see it in the GHB ruling for Primal Dice.
It can be any of the dice from original cast and primal "When a primal magic dice modifies a casting roll, if two or more of the dice in the casting roll and primal magic dice are 6s, and the caster did not suffer a primal miscast, the spell is successfully cast and cannot be unbound. In addition, the caster cannot attempt to cast any more spells in that phase and both players receive 1 primal magic dice."
@@BattleshockWargaming yes, "two or more of the dice in the casting roll AND primal magic dice are 6s" This means there needs to be a 6 in both the casting roll AND the primal magic dice. Otherwise it would say OR instead of AND.

OldBlood on Foot only gives +1 wound to Saurus Warriors and Saurus Guard. Doesn't work on Kroxigor.
I also think he missed making rider attacks with his Aggradons.
Good catch on the old blood +1 wound, i just checked and Matt remembered the rider attacks when he fought into the vanguard hunters but he just kinda whiffed

Starborn historically has been a tough match for sylvaneth, but im hoping not having to rely on the hive is going to make that a much more favorable matchup in the future.
Why didn’t he ever dispelled the sylvaneth endless? Was there a tactical reason? Or just forgot
You need visibility to perform a dispell on an endless spell. The spiteswarm hive was in the middle of a wildwood, so Matt was unable to interact with it. Thanks for the comment! We appreciate you.

Did Durthu run and charge in sylvaneth first turn? At least you said "ran" in the video.
Also, I feel like off camera you should correct mistakes like putting the kurnoths in combat on Seraphon second turn. It was a huge misplay and would be nice to see the game prolong rather than being over by a bad play. I feel like people watching want to see a game with as little mistakes as possible, so defiinitely feel like mistakes like that are okay to correct for a greater battle rep. But just my opinion of course.

Yes Durthu ran and charged turn one to get into combat. We try to avoid major mistakes as much as possible without influencing each others decision making processes. From my perspective it was not a mistake from how i deployed the kurnoths that if you tagged the dryads you were going to have to fight the hammer unit standing right behind them. In retrospect it was a misplay for matt to trade poorly into a screen but those decisions are easier to see sometimes after they have been done.

Would you be willing to share your sylvaneth recipe, that's exactly what I want to paint.
Its really easy, its mostly drybrushing greys and then whites to get the base white of all the trees, Then is screamer pink on all the branches, dry brushed with emperors children, fulgrim and then white on the ends. all the weapons on done with aethermatic blue contrast.
My buddy plays Seraphon and always gives my Stormcast a run for their money. I am VERY cautious of his Aggradons adter he wiped out 2 units of 5 Vindicators at the top of the first round on his turn. Getting a hero move is really strong.

Rooting for Seraphon
We love the new Belthanos miniature! He really cranks Sylvaneth to 11, as they were already a quite strong faction. I expect to see at least 1 Sylvaneth army podium at LOV this year.

Dang feels like Seraphon is really struggling to win in your games.
Well ive played alot of tough games with seraphon and unfortunately i have certainly lost more games with them they I have won. We were hoping that the damage reduction and save stacking was going to play big into this game but sylvaneth can really dump the damage
New to this, but how does Durthu get so many attacks ? He only has 3 on his profile. And wtf is this strike and fade bullcrap ? coming from 40k this looks just stupid broken, like really. Cannot even fight in melee wtf
