My wife judges weapons by recoil alone. I thought she'd like my 9mm, but she likes the .45 for the smoother push. The bad news is I had to buy a new .45. The good news is I got to buy a new .45.
+Jerry Brown That's the worst and best news ever brother
I think her being into 10mm is better news.
The best thing you can do! LOL!
R.I.P Barry
We've lost a great man in Barry. He should have been around for longer, I miss him.
Antoine Key Some people on line saying he was a chutney ferret - that's a goddam lie, he was straight as a die.
Something so soothing about hearing Barry talk about guns.
Good stuff, you guys covered a lot in this one
I generally loathe most of the "feminine" guns that manufacturers are cranking out. Though I am partial to the old S&W 3913 Ladysmith guns, mainly because those are just beautiful little pistols. So beautiful, in fact, that Smith & Wesson had to make the same model under the name "3913NL" because men liked them a lot too, and heaven forbid that they're seeing carrying a "ladies" gun, right?
Make fun of me all day long but I wouldn’t mind carrying a “ladies” pink and blue gun. Nothing more humiliating for the enemy than being said you got shot by a guy with a pink gun😉
@@HatsuneM1ku01 I'd carry a ladysmith and call it my "girl on the side"...get it? "Just took my girl on the side to dinner with my wife, it turned out to be a pleasant evening." lmao
my idea of pretty gun is a nice colt 1911
I told my wife, forget the girly guns, you're getting this nice Smith and Wesson 38 revolver.
You guys are great. Even headed. Humble. Educational. Thanks.
Thanks guys. Another logical, well presented, easy to understand production. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Eric. I have been a long time fan. Watched "American Guns" and "Sons Of Guns." Neither had happy endings. Glad you are just an upstanding American who loves firearms and wants to educate people!
Don't forget the Cobray Ladies Home Companion. A Streepsweeper action chambered in 45/70.
Thus becoming the most progressive, ahead-of-their-time gun manufacturer in the world, and earning a dash of respect from me.
You guys have the most enjoyable and interesting gun vids out there! Great stuff!
My wife does not like pink guns at all. She carries a S&W M&P .40. No frills. I love these videos. Thanks again.
"Look sexy and kill at the same time." LOL
The little Bersa .380 looks nice, the revolver with the lasersight is quite nice also, could be nice carry guns, for both males & females.
I have to say I am loving the videos gents and your decorum when speaking of such subjects. Thank you.
I love the gun gripe vids . I learn so much from them, Thank you
Great episode, thank you guys!
i really enjoy barry and eric . thanks for all the information guys .this is my fav channel on youtube .
"If you need to get rid of someone in style...." that line really made me smile.
Jessie Abbate shoots for Team Taurus International out of Miami Florida. My wife is the anti-pink, she carries a Sig P238 SAS. Best little hand gun ever made. Mimics the 1911 an feels great. Great vid guys, keep them coming.
You guys are right about the color. Less than a year ago, my wife joined me when I bought her a Daisy bb rifle. She was afraid so we practiced alone, learning all the safety, handling, load/unload, etc. she has since moved up to the 10/22, and now has her own Mark III. And still no pink. :-)
Great Work Guys!!
Hey Guys, just wanted to say great Videos, thank you so much for em!
I love fridays, because: Fridays = Gun Gripes!
I carry a Sig P238 and love it. Though I am a 5'2" woman that works in an office, I find ways to carry it in the waist band everyday. Nice vid!
Thanks! I was wondering when you would post this!
Love this channel
The Kel-Tec PF9 is one of the snappiest guns that you have in your store. It's a great size to carry, but most women would prefer something with less recoil. Great videos guys, keep them coming!
I got the SD40VE for daily carry. The handle is a bit big and sticks out slightly but in the nothern states you almost never dont have a coat on and it holds 14+1 so it works out well
i say this every time but you guys kick ass! great work
i wouldn't recommend a kel-tech to anyone
I would recommend it and hi point to the bad guy.
SPACE TRUCKER
At least the Hi-Point would probably work...
Y'know, that Smith they pulled up when they said "If you're not concerned too much with the size or a gun...for the house." It looks a lot like the size of my carry gun. XD
Never underestimate a woman, especially a woman who is armed. Just sayin' man.
My wife has an AR15 A2 with pink furniture. She also has a Charter Arms Pink Lady. Her 'serious' gun is a Springfield M1A which has had a lot of M14 parts fitted to it.
That 870 was hilarious!
I personally love my Ruger SP101 .357mag. It shoots great, fits great (grip) and was rather affordable at initial purchase (a bit price to take to the range but reloading helps).
Great subject, concise and to the point.
Catch any thing besides a buzz yet?
Awesome point about the laser as a psychological weapon. Have never thought of it that way, but so true.
hey guys, great job!!
"For the discerning female home-defender..." haha I love you guys
you guys make me want to drive back down to GA and buy you guys a beer, and talk guns!
Eric - You're right about that bersa 380. That's a good little gun.
Good videos guys.
Goldfinger was the first Bond movie I saw
I can understand wanting a gun that's shiny or has stuff painted or engraved in it, at least it's not pink.
Though, getting a shiny gun that is engraved is something dictators do.....
I agree. And I really do feel like it's a choice thing. My best friend favors the Ruger LCP, while I favor the LCR. I like Revolvers because like you said, it won't jam. Also if you get a dud you can pull the trigger again and it will cycle to the next round (rare these days). And you can't knock a revolver out of battery like you can with a semi-auto. Both types of handgun have their advantages. But the most important part is owning a gun and being comfortable with that choice
U guys rock!
Thanks for the video, me and my girl both enjoyed it.
That's shotgun at the end was hilarious.
Eric is now on God Tier.... He lives 10 mins from Jessie Abbate.... I will always watch this channel....
The intimidation idea is a bad one. Never pull a gun on someone if you don't intend on using it because you don't know if you will trigger a flight response or a fight response. I wouldn't want to pull a gun on someone and get shot because I wasn't mentally ready to defend myself.
Love watching these old episode with Barry.btw my wife carries a glock 19
I think for me gen 3 glock 19 is the best mid size auto plus Glocks don't look good what people say the 19 actually looks good and actually has great grips which is a complaint about Glock so I think it's the best it will never fail
I actually think that pink guns are a tactical advantage. The color pink has been known in psychology as a color that affects the person's strength by weakening it. It may just have some tactical use. PINK UP BROS!
Huge fan of the Ruger P series, got a P89 that I carry every day. Little chunky and heavy but its a nice piece. Kinda want to get my hands on a P95 before they get fully phased out by the SR9.
another great video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My girlfriend was anti gun when I met her, her 21st birthday is in a few months and without me asking or anything, she told me to take her to the gun store so we can get her her first pistol. She is not a fan of the pink guns, not because they aren't "cute" but because she doesn't like the whole "pink guns are for ladies" stigma.
Good point. :-D It was familiar but you found right person for that shotgun. Thanks for a minute of laughing.
true that! I've been planning on getting a LCR, can you give me any details on it? I've shot the GP100, and like that.
Just want you to know, I really like your videos.
That Keltec.... No , I would never buy my wife a keltec. I have owned one for a short period of time. Had problems right off. Sent it back and they "fixed it". After a 100 rnds through it again started giving me the same problems. People that I have known to buy these guns have had problems too. The gun feels great in the hands and fired pretty accurate for me. Loved it, but was just very disappointed. FTF, FTE,Jams. I will say though, Keltec has great customer service. Sold it and bought me a Ruger LC9. That's a great gun. After a 1000 rnds through it, it still shoots amazingly. Great videos and I appreciate all you guys and the knowledge you share. Keepem' coming! Thanks Guys
i love gun gripes
Eric; carefull don't shoot Barry's pinky off. LOL
So true mate.
My fiance really wants a ruger bearcat because it's all stainless and has nice engraving on. She also wants a nice wood gripped stainless ladysmith. She's not into the pink or teal stuff. She's into stainless or nickel plated, wood gripped, and engraved revolvers. She also likes engraved 1911s. She's already approved of getting me a custom stainless truly left handed 1911 for one of our future wedding anniversaries. 😍
my mom prefers the Sig Sauer P229 chambered in .40S&W. Shes also a fan of the M1911 in .45ACP. she likes the Sig best though. She had a harder time with the slide and recoil of my 1911.
(im a guy. just mentioning what my mom likes and prefers) but she still tells me to hand it over at the range to shoot a mag haha so the Sig P229 is another good one for ya'll ladies acording to my mom. she said the slide was easy and recoil comfertable and easy to handle. she hadent fired a handgun in almost 20 years untill she got her Sig.
I agree about the Bersa Thunder 380. Especially for the dainty ladys, like mine, if racking the slide is dificult, the Bersa has a easy slide in case you get a jam or a FTF. It shoots extremely accurate, althou it can be finicky about its ammo. And it fits in my hand as well. Great home defense Pistol. Althou it doesnt have the rail system to mount a laser, one is available, and decent on price.
Moss, can I get a review on a more uncommon, but available. Steyr M9A1 and Argentine Mauser.
As in one of Barry's 'ol "head space" gripes the lady didn't know you had to pull the trigger 🤯
get her an airweight or an airlite. 38spl or 357mag/38spl respectively. you can get the airweight for fairly cheap and its an all around great carry gun. simplistic. aim pull trigger.
They should make one with a compass that always points towards the kitchen!
Berry and Eric should have their own TV show.
that charter is nice
Damn i love your show
My wife picked out, on her own, a .45ACP Smith and Wesson Performance Center Thunder Ranch.
nice vid, my wife loves shiny expensive guns, like the kimber solo 9. i took her gun shoppin & didnt let her look at prices, everytime, wouldnt u know, she liked the pricey ones.
My wife loves her lavender .32 H&R magnum revolver
They do. On the greatest channel: CZcams.
yea you have a pretty good selection I have some in all you wrote on here except the walther but i have owned at sometime the ppk and the p99 they were ok but not for me.I have also owned a lot of glocks 17,19,20,21,26,and the 27 which I thought was too small for my hand and regret selling but still own the 22 and the gen4 23,the 22 is newer but I had one back in 1994 and they stuck with me eversince I own many have yet not had flaws they are awesome firearms none no better.
@00:23 Eric's face LOL
Could you guys do a video on the Remington 887 NitroMag? My brother is trying to find an optic mount for it.
I'm a dude and I just bought a pink UpLula speed loader. Its nice and bright, so there's no way I can misplace it XD
"Bump in the night" Yeah that's what she said. haha
a girl within my circle of friends owns a SIG P229 Equinox in 9mm.
now she wants a "thigh" gun. now currently trying to steer her to the direction of the SIG P238.
Jesus... 0:14 Eric was having an Eric Cartman moment in this one. Barry just made a joke.
lc9 with pink slide/ frame and crimson trace, cant beat that
3 Guns my wife loves to shoot.
1. My Ruger 10/22
2. My Ruger .22lr six shooter
3. Her Smith & Wesson .38 Special
And she is accurate wth them all.
Can you do a review on SD9VE? Can't find any vids on CZcams on this gun. Thanks!
Thanks bro. I just found out that a new drop in replacement trigger (like the one for M&P) is about to become available for the sigma. Again thanks for yor knowledge and help. Im going to wait a feww weeks and check out the new deal and see whats up eith it.
Good job with the (zoom in) edits.
Wow you are so funny. My sides are splitting.
Amen!
Thanks sent your video to my daughter!
Good topic guys. Thanks for pushing through some of the hype with the whole "pink" gun phenomenon. Supporting women's rights and having fun! :-)
Love the channel guys and I agree on the bersa I picked one up of a coworker and I love it but I just don't recomend the smaller hanguns to people anymore I took a pistol class with a woman armed with a taurus 9mm single stack and she had hell with it now if all you can afford or are able to carry is a kel tec its better than nothing but the TCP, LCP, P38T are in my opinion when handguns are made that small the become very difficult to use just me two cents keep up the good work
Hello fellas. I really enjoy your videos and I am still learning about firearms so I hope you will not be too hard on me for asking this question. How is it that a 22 cal. rifle such as a 10/22 is good for self defense, but not a 22 cal. handgun? Thanks for helping to educate me.
I've seen a grown ass man with a huge beard and tattoos with pink gun and he gave no shits what people thought.
I'm under the impression, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, that the handgun for home defense is indeed used infrequently, if at all. It doesn't mean that the home defense weapon is someone's primary weapon. I see the scenario where someone might have a specific range weapon used for practice/training, another firearm for EDC, and lastly for when at home - the home defense handgun. Maybe that's too much, maybe they have just two - one for home and one for out and about. Just some thoughts.
Idk if im just small and weak, but in my maverick 88 the kick on a regular 12 ga say 6 birdshot 2/34 inch is so incredibly strong to matter how tight I hold the thing. I dont see how anyone with a 12ga can shoot it without a buttstock without the thing kicking back and completely shattering someones wrist or flying up and smacking you in the nose and rearranging your face.
Edit 8 months later rewatching Barry gripes, got used to the 12ga, not so bad anymore :)
could you put these gun gripes into a playlist so that someone, like me, can see all of them back to back without searching for each one individually. I'm learning a lot from all of you.
if there is a surplus on pink guns then I could buy one for cheap, hopefully, and then change the color
Like to see which is better an AR 10 platform rifle, Or an M1A. Can't decide which to get. Been trying to find review for comparison of the 2 but sadly haven't found any... Would be really nice to see one:)
I haven't seen a Glock jam before in person but I know it happens. My brother's 1911 had a few jamming issues at first but appears to have worked itself out. I know it's not a milspec 1911 but I still stand by what I said. The 1911 holds less rounds, has more parts and is heavier. For civilian use it's fine and I'm going to build one when I get the chance. For military or Police, there are better options. There were vets that carried SAAs and swore by them, does that make them better?
