This is such a good example of when Power was still at the top of his game. In 2003 he turned 29 in August. Matthew is 6 years younger and his best squash would come later.
Yes the referee was erring here and there.........luckily this wasn't an important factor in the match. Matthew was restrained wasn't he and Power was well, powering on. Good to see this old vid and I'm picking that Jonathan won in 3.

Matthew didn't whine and complain as much when he was younger and losing. I liked him more then.
Agreed, so painful to watch nowadays
agreed
He really turned into a princess piece of shit hey
Power is like John McEnroe….Nick Matthew is nothing like John McEnroe
I talked to Matthew at the Tournament of Champions and he was really cold and distant even though we had friends in common...
He was probably in tournament mode, wholly focused at the task at hand.
2-1 first game was a clear stroke for Power.
That's how I see it too.........however both of them never complained which I thought was ironic.

what year was this match ?
it says 2003 on the court :D
Nick tends to play the player and not the ball. So annoying the ways he gets cheap lets.
You say that but Power sometimes doesn't move after a shot so obstructs the way to the ball.
2:23 Yes let? Is that true?
2nd game at 4 all was not mathews fault as he wrong footed power, I think it was no let.
and Nick is no ware near the winer as Powers
But Powers whined in a funny way :) Nick is just whining. A lot.
Perhaps, but at least Power was funny and nowhere near as arrogant and disrespectful of his opponent and ref as Matthew

I concur
More likeable perhaps but no where near as good a player.
Do you actually play squash?
wow what a weird, weird sport. Theoretically they could play for hours without one point won
Warren Vazquez
do i? sometimes my memory is a bit fuzzy
No they couldn't, just as tennis and badminton players couldn't
