- Wrestling Bios Presents The Life and Career of Bam Bam Bigelow.
When we think of Bam Bam Bigelow, we think of the unreal agility the guy had for someone his size. Bam Bam Bigelow was able to work with anyone and adapt to their style to make matches work. Perfect example being how he carried an american football player through the main event of WrestleMania.
Bigelow was another well respected worker, with many superstars claiming that Bam Bam was a big influence on their careers. Bam Bam's speed for someone his size was an unseen sight back in the 80s WWF and even the early 90s.
Unfortunately though, Bam Bam had problems with The Kliq in the WWF, which was, back then, the end for many in the company. This didn't stop Bam Bam from working in other major promotions in America including ECW and WCW.
This video looks at Bam Bam's time in the WWF, his initial run with Vince McMahon along with his WWF return, his time in NJPW, his MMA match in Japan along with his run in ECW with The Triple Threat faction and the end of his career in WCW.
A heads up on this video; I created this while away from my normal desktop and didn't have access to my normal studio mic. Apologies for the audio. If the demand is great enough I will remake this video with a better voice over when I am back at my usual desktop.

CORRECTION: Barry Windham was the NWA US champion when Bam Bam worked with him. Sorry about that!
No mention he was in major payne 😛
Semantics not to worry
Speaking of Barry Windham would love to see a Horseman vid. Best channel around bar none my friend.
@Truth Told wot would you be speaking had the english not settled there in the first place. Cherokee or Apache? Fool!!!
Gavin says he won the wcw tag titles but U.S title is a bit of a stretch!!!!
I dated his cousin for a brief time after he had passed. She often told stories of him and what a nice guy he was. Before we broke up we were walking through a flea market and came upon a box of the wrestling figures. One was Bam Bam, I bought it for her as a remembrance of her cousin.
You did well. That was a beautiful gesture.
That sounds made up. Nice try though
@@Ian-Omega believe what you want it, it is the truth.
Then she broke up with you
None of that happened
One of the toughest wrestlers of all time. Saved a family from a burning house.
hence the flames on his gear. the guy was awesome.
I thought it was brush fire.
Legend and a hero
That was a work, brother.
@@christophercarroll6345 😂😂
One of the most underrated and underappreciated heels in the game
100%
Not "underrated" or "underappreciated" AT ALL. He was a star back in the day
@@reverendx4ever I didn't even watch WWF and just skipping channels he would stand out among everyone in the brief moments I did see it.
Correctly appreciated
he terrified me as a kid, but little did I know how soft he was inside. that's shows how amazing of an athlete he was.
I still hate the way he didn't get a better run in WWF. it's criminal. His matches with Tazz in ECW are still epic.
I saw him in ECW, he was very likeable and amazing
@@frankonolfi1966 I first saw Bam Bam Bigelo from. ECW and he was the first wrestler i knew from ECW
@@byua1835 it's a shame.A very talented big ma n 350
Forreal he should have won 1995 king of the ring and main evented summerslam against diesel instead of king mabel
To this day I'm mad at WWF on how badly they treated Bam Bam and Vader. Both deserved much much more.
Hats off to Bam Bam. He was a hell of a worker. I mean cmon. I can remember the first Nintendo video game that featured Bam Bam doing a 16 bit cartwheel.
That was literally how I first heard of him. Thought it was just video game fantasy until I finally saw him work.
You mean 8-Bit right... The Nes was 8-Bit. The Super Nintendo was 16-Bit.
He was in the WCW and WWF 8 bit Nintendo games. My favorite in both.
@@damageinc.5458 Yes, 8 bit. Excu-uw-uw-uw-se the hell up outta me. Lol! Im teasing dude. Its only been, what? 30 years or so? I wasnt even that interested when i was 12. Let alone 40 and some odd years. Its safe to say that intel has been long gone from my mind.
I loved playing him on the WWF game for the Nintendo, and enjoyed watching him wrestle. I was really bummed when I heard that he died :-(
I got to meet Bam Bam at a local fair up in Jersey in the late 90s. Eventhough I was a super annoying kid, Bam treated me kindly and didn't try to shoo me away. He was a legitimately nice and outstanding man. Would also see him riding his bike around town every so often. He should be in the HoF.
SomeguynamedMike i lived in jersey as a kid and my older sister went to kindergarten with his daughter. she got to go to her birthday party at there house. i was too young to remember it much but there were horses and like a merry go round.
Why were you super annoying?
Sliktronik Pimpflex because he was a kid
Asbury Park!
RIP Bam Bam Bigelow. He was always my favorite big guy. His moves and agility set him head and shoulders above the rest. Bam Bam definitely deserves a place in the Professional Wrestlers Hall of Fame. I wasn't aware that Bam Bam and Vader teamed up together. I'd take that combo against anybody in the whole world, even today.
P.S. RIP Vader.
Bam Bam was the best big man. He should already be in the HOF
Hope 2020
Big Boss Man was a better wrestler overall. But they were both amazing.
@@Brandon-rq3ys big van Vader was the best.
Big Van Vader was the best big man, BBB was 2nd
Yep
Am I the only guy who thinks this channel is the Bob Ross of wrestling? This channel is a great trip down memory lane in a calm and relaxing fashion.
I was so bummed out that Bam Bam was not in the HOF this year. He was truly innovated for a man his size. Thank you again for another 5 star video.
Thanks for the kind comment. Glad you enjoyed the video.
He was in the 07 hof
@@WrestlingBios a new star in the yt c
They really need to make more effort to get these people inducted before they die. I'm tired of seeing the legends go in without being able to make a speech due to the fact they're dead.
I think he’s not in the wwe hall of fame because there was heat with the kilq back in the day and we all know that Shawn and triple h are Vince’s boys. Just like King Kong Bundy should of want in but he had heat with Vince McMahon and was apart of a class action lawsuit against wwe
U forgot his part in the movie Major Payne which is a classic 💯
Eagles suck
E A G L E S!! EAGLES!!!!! 52 baby!!
Don’t forget his scene I. Snake Eater as a biker thug lol
Snake eater 3, the second best of the franchise
@Freddy Krewga Cody Parkey sucks.
I loved Bam Bam when I was a kid in the eighties. My dad still says he's never seen a big man move like that.
I knew Scott personally and I really miss him....such a great person to be around....total goof too! Thanks for doing a video about him....😉
wow so cool 😔😔
Inside of you personally I take it...
How you know him? And how we did you know him.lol
@@burnsmybritches5857 can't lie this my first thought Too lol
Burns My Britches wtf is your deal? No I didn’t hook up with Scott....we were platonic friends...it’s sad y’all automatically think ring rat whenever a female is involved....my brother who was a pro wrestler knew Scott and many many others....being around at shows with my brother I met many different ppl...and wait for it.....and became good friends with some of them...hope this clears it up for y’all....
He is a legend. My Nintendo wrestling game from the late 80s has him doing cartwheels. He could do it back then. Thank you Bam Bam
R.I.P Scott Bigelow aka The Beast From The East "Bam Bam Bigelow"
rip
Bam Bam Bigelow was my favorite wrestler going up. I was always amazed by what he could do in the ring and being such a big dude. He deserves HOF status
Bam Bam losing the ECW TV Title to RVD in 1998 was Bam Bam’s best match in my opinion.
Bam Bam was the first athletic big man that I saw. It was during his early days in the Memphis territory and I immediately became a fan. He was a great worker.
In my opinion, he didn't need a title.
I don't see how anyone could dislike Bam Bam. I always liked him face or heal. ECW was awesome and I'm glad he appeared in it. He just seemed like a truly good guy. As i got older i just didn't enjoy wrestling like a did as a kid, but he's one of those guys i think fondly of these many years later
The best jobber of all time. He endeared himself to 2 generations of wrestling fans and 3 separate companies where he was everything from filler to main event. Name a guy his size and shape that was more athletic than most of his premiere opponents. Good wrestler, great man, sad ending... He belongs in all of our hearts and memories.
These bios are great! Bigelow really was the first high flying big man for me. Always loved his work and he seems like a genuinely good person, unlike all those Kliq shmucks.
Anyone remember when he was in the movie Major Payne?
Absolutely, with the girl from fresh prince
Sure do
Eagles suck
Great video, Bam Bam was always fun to watch as a kid even as a heel, his in ring talent couldn't be denied! The Kliq really pisses me off with now much talent they held back
Bam Bam is one of my favorite wrestlers and he will definitely be missed. RIP
The uncrowned World Wrestling Federation Champion.
Had some fantastic matches against spike Dudley in ECW. Classic moments. Best run of his North American career was with ECW.
Legend, hero, a real man. R.I.P
Wonder how much better the wwf would have been if the kliq was not there. One could dream. Great video.
The two quickest big men in the game were Bam Bam and Big Boss Man.
Such a damn shame that they were taken away from us away too soon.
Dam this is sad, I remember I started watching WWE back in 93 when it was WWF so yea I grew up watching them on TV, r.i.p Bigelow
When he is someone Bret gives massive appraisal to you know hes good ...
Bam Bam was one of the best , his agility for his size was unheard of and he deserved massive credit for putting himself in such dangerous positions being that size and using such high flying moves .. By not bowing down to the kliq deserves credit alone .. Rest in peace big man !
Hey, I must say, you've been doing a marvelous job with this flurry of documentary-like releases. The multitude of videos created is impressive itself, yet the well-written & researched script seamlessly fuses with the inlaid media to create something special. As a wrestling fan who thought he knew all, I appreciate your remarkable contributions to our online community. Props!
Bam Bam was incredible. I wish he had a fued in 1993 with Bret Hart. I would have loved to see Bam Bam and Yokozuna vs the Steiner Brothers.
THE BEAST FROM THE EAST
BAM BAM BIGELOW!
TOP 5 FAVORITE WRESTLER OF ALL TIME!
When I saw him as a kid I was scared and shocked at how flexible he was, this man was one of a kind.
LOVE YOU BAM BAM
Instead of staying in with the cool crowd, Bam Bam stood up for the guys they were bullying.
Glad to hear about wrestlers I grew up watching still being talked about
What a hero, always liked Bam Bam Bigelow but my respect has just gone up for him in regards to saving those children's lives. Such a tragic end to someone who really deserved a more trophy career. R.I.P.
He was one of the best in the ring when I was a kid in the early 90s R,I,P. Bam Bam.🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
One of the greatest bigmen in wrestling history. Definitely one of my favorites in n "WrestleMania: The Arcade Game".
Bam Bam had the look of a natural born heel. Can't believe he was ever a face. Didn't get a chance to see a lot of his work, but I will catch up. Great video. 💜
I enjoyed the line about Bigelow working with Goldberg. "He had the pleasure of working with Goldberg, he obviously lost." I could hear the snarkiness in the tone. Nicely done videos, I've just watched a marathon of them. Well informed, well described, and you sprinkle just a little of your opinion on it all without making a ten hour video. Well done fella.
People don't often appreciate what they have until it's gone. Bam Bam was truly under appreciated, a big guy who could move around the ring like a man half his size.
Wish this was longer. He was a GREAT WRESTLER. BAM BAM
This guy deserves more respect than most!
Bigelow had some type of restaurant literally right by me years ago in Pennsylvania. It was cool to see him around.
Some of the legends that never got a title run is unbelievable looking back. Dam you Shawn Michaels!
Loved Bam Bam when I was a kid. He was such a character
Bam Bam deserves to be put in the category of greatest big men of all time. Great video.
I live in New Jersey so I automatically I'm fascinated by Bam Bam Bigelow And I remember seeing him and Major Payne. I don't even watch wrestling anymore but I like watching the videos about the old stuff.
Bam Bam Bigelow is one of my favorite wrestlers ever! For his size, he had great stamina, conditioning, speed, agility and was always smooth in the ring and worked good with everyone!
Bro what ever happened to tatanka? You should do a video on him. I love these videos man. Great job!
He still wrestles the indies. I work for a promotion in Scotland and we had him over in 2016, he's one of the nicest guys I have ever met.
Buffalo 🐃
I love that this man grants viewers wishes.
Scary stuff at 7:31. They had a novice like LT give Bam Bam a piledriver! Wow....
Bam Bam Bigelow Baby!!!!!!!!!! One of the most underrated, and one of my favorite
Rip bam bam. One of the greatest big men in the history of wrestling. Nice as hell guy too. I met him at an NJ independent show when I was a kid
Audio mic is perfectly fine man, I can hear you loud and clear. Another great video, thank you for your hard work and putting these together 👍
Bam Bam Bigelow was one of my favorites when I was a kid.
Ill always remember bam bam vs one man gang in WM4 and then when he became the surprise competitor vs shane douglas for the ecw belt breaking up the triple threat. Douglas’ reaction was amazing.
Bam Bam Bigelow was so underrated great wrestler. I was there at Monday Nitro when he made his return to WCW in November of 1998 when I was 20 years old then.. lol he surprised us at our Kansas coliseum arena and was looking for Bill Goldberg ... great times
Bam Bam was from my hometown of Asbury Park, NJ!
One of the best big men ever! HOF 2020?
Hope so
Yes!
He Pillman and Davey Boy are so overdue its a joke!
PICKETT THE HANDSOME COLLECTOR ikr
D- Mo it’s baffling that davey boy isn’t in

Great channel man. I also like that you say "WWF" and not "WWE" when speaking about the company before it was renamed WWE.
Bam Bam was one of my childhood favorites, its sad the way that Scott's life ended.
He was one of my favorite wrestlers, he deserves to be in the hall of fame.
One of my all time favorite wrestlers, and one of the best imo
He was one of my favorites as a kid. He was a big man who moved like a cruiserweight.
As a kid seeing Bam Bam was awesome. The flaming tattoos were cool to me. I really hope he gets in the HoF one day.
One of the best agile big men....
So true he was way ahead of his time, and hell even now a days almost no one his size can do some of the things Bam Bam could
for his size and in that time, he was very agile, I think maybe the only a very few that might come close to Bam Bam is probably Keith Lee (which he is a little over 300 lbs but very solid), Otis from Heavy Machinery that does the caterpillar, the bigger guy from War Raiders, idk which one did a cartwheel ,Willie Mack he's very agile as well, Braun Strowman is very quick on his feet but nothing compares to Bam Bam RIP
Modern wrestlers are less athletic morons
One of my favs as a kid
RIP legend
Bam bam. Another wrestler I’ll never forget. 👍👍👍
The Jersey Triad was so underrated.
Rip legend my top ten all-time grew up on 90s wrestling salute
I was just watching Bam Bam vs Razor Ramon and it was awesome. Bam Bam will always be one of the stand out legends to me for so many reasons. I miss them all! I love Luna too! 🔥💜
Superb video man. The audio was completely acceptable. I miss Bam Bam, he was truly ahead of his time. Keep up the excellent work, your channel is too awesome to fail.
Ironic how he had flames all over his body and he really got burned
Bam Bam and Big Boss Man were both amazing wrestlers for their size. They probably could have both been amazing football players.
I met bam bam twice in new jersey where I lived. After his career was over he bounced and did security. He was a super cool guy and easy to talk to. My buddy also went to iron Mike sharps wrestling school in Asbury park new jersey.
Great vid man! Bam Bam was definitely under utilized by wwf in the 80s, and nwa in late 80's. Should've been IC champ, US champ at the very least.
One of the best he is in my top 10 all-time
Big guy doing dropkicks no one was doing that
When I was young this was one of my favorite people. Always makes me think of the early WWF Sega game he was in.
I haven’t watched this yet, I just found it and am about to watch but just want to say THANK YOU for doing a piece on Bam Bam who is without a doubt IMO a HOF’er not just for WWE.
Bam Bam was very innovative, a great worker, a good tweener with a great look. Bam Bam should be higher on the big man list than Vader And many others. He is definitely the most athletic & agile big man.
BAM BAN BIGELOW should already be in the hall of fame .. he was and is one of the best wrestlers out there r I p BAM BAM
Such and underrated wrestler it's almost criminal that he's not even mentioned no more
Scott and my dad used to arm wrestle hustle people in the bars here in NJ. Used to fish with him when I was kid as well. He got me tix to all the matches as a kid at Convention Hall in Asbury Park NJ. His sister used to babysit me and my sister. Always a nice guy to me and my family. Even when he got a little famous. I distinctly remember him and my dad discussing the tattoo Gene was gonna do on his head. It was either flames or a giant 8 ball ...pool ball. Lol!! Glad he went flames. RIP big guy...and my pops!!
Speaking of which, both Bam Bam and Vader should be in the HOF, Vader even said it was his last wish before he passed away. Also, no mention of Bam Bam being a former Bounty hunter...
Great vid again my friend
Bam Bam was ridiculously athletic for a man of his size, especially his top rope work. Nice to see you nodded at him not being inducted yet because its a joke pal. Good work.
Bam is a legend in my book
Fantastic work!...Please do a video on the Fabulous Freebirds.
Bam bam one of my favorite wrestlers ever
Bam Bam and Vader as a tag team!? Jeez, that sounds unbeatable.
Top notch as always! Appreciate your work and insight on all these great wrestlers.
2:40 Look how small Bam Bam is compared to Andre. Geez.
I was a bam bam fan, he was awesome. He was big and strong but also a high flyer too, soooooo much talent in him!!!!!!!!!!
R.I.P. Bam Bam, one of the best big guys that ever graced the ring that didn’t have a chiseled physique but can fly around the ring like it was second nature. I swear Kevin Owens is his reincarnation.
Kills me to see so many wrestler I grew up watching have died.
Hey man just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your awesome videos! Being born, raised and still living in New Jersey Bam Bam was always a bit of hometown hero and literally everyone I know that met him said he was the nicest guy. Such a sad loss but his legacy will live on and you've helped that along here. Thanks for tips on what to watch as well. I'm watching Triad videos as we speak. For anyone who wants to watch simply search Triad on you WWE Network. Anyway, again thank you for the fantastic content! It's helped me get through some rough work days!
Him and Terry Gordy are the two best big men I have ever seen move in that ring
Mike Awesome as well.
Don't forget Vader.
Once again it shows just because he was big intimating and covered in tattoos but with a giant heart of gold.
Bam bams style....timeless he would be BADASS TODAY YESTERDAY AND 20 YEARS AHEAD
Very underrated.
Great work what a amazing a amount of work
