  • Aloha everyone! Here is the third episode of "E lawe i ke a‘o a mālama." In this episode, we will be introducing the four different types of meme‘a: KIKINO, ‘A‘ANO, HAMANI and HEHELE. Here are descriptions of the different types of meme‘a along with a few examples:
KIKINO are things that have shapes or bodies, such as a canoe, a pencil or a crab.
‘A‘ANO are conditions or states of being, such as delicious, happy and hot.
HAMANI are actions that are done to other things, such as to plant, to throw or to listen.
HEHELE are actions that are not done to other things, such as to walk, to sit or to meet.
    Mahalo!
