The Mecha Blue Meanie - Bandai 1/144 High Grade Kampfer - Build Overview and Thoughts

The MVP of Zeon suits has finally reached my shelves, and all it took was some varnish tube and more yellow than the average Coldplay tour.
An incredibly fun build overall - the base kit is a simple but engaging set, and the extra bells and whistles I applied provided both a good challenge, and an end product I could be proud of. Now I just have to try and not throw varnish tube on everything I build. It’s a kit I’d absolutely recommend, but that’s with the caveat that some painting will be needed for best results.
As mentioned at the beginning of the video, I’ve finally upgraded microphones, and so most of this video is spent wrestling for the optimal mic position. I had to re record a fair few bits, and for the moments where things just weren’t working out, I did try to mitage the volume inconsistencies in post. Ideally I’ll have cracked the code by next time!

Good video, good build. I'm probably twice your age but only got into gunpla last year. First build was an out the box RG RX78-2. currently i'm painting up my camouflaged Zaku 1 sniper and have several RG, HG and MG waiting to do!
Keep up the good quality videos.

This kit is surprisingly charming despite its age. Just needs some love to make it look real nice.
