- Edward Sizzahands has created wigs for celebrities like RuPaul and Tiffany Haddish, and is most known for his work with drag queens. He crafts these wigs using everything from chicken wire to Gorilla Glue. We visited his studio as he brought a fantasy wig to life for Trinity The Tuck Taylor.

I hate it when parents are not supportive of their children. Why have them if you can’t let them grow up to discover who they are? Love your work.
Its worse when they are unsupportive until their child finds success and then they are magically supportive.
It’s what happens when you grow up a certain way in a certain time period. She came around and even has short, purple colored hair. She was doing what she thought was right to protect her young black son. Doesn’t make it right what she did but as a parent we all try our best even when it isn’t the greatest best.

one of the best sayings I've ever heard is "Parents will do anything for their child except let them be who they are"
its ridiculous how many times ive been told my parents did a bad job at raising me because they let me be who i wanted to be. i never had religion, gender roles, etc pushed onto me as a kid, my parents wanted me to discover who i was all by myself. and ive been told countless times that was poor parenting on their end because "id just end up confused" or "id end up being a rebel or a criminal". im 20 years old now and work full time as a special needs aide so i dont think the whole "rebellious criminal" thing ever really happened lol. my parents raised me right and more parents should do what they did.
I just love how proudly he smiles when he sees his wig in action🥰 he really is passionate about his job! Watching people do something they love makes me really happy😍

It´s crazy how you can make a living of something you are passionate about, no matter what it is.
But it's hard to make living that way. And you have no living after retirement
He seems to be living pretty modestly. Nothing at all like the celebrities he makes the wigs for, who are living large.
It is crazy, but then again it's also based on luck
@@mukundkanodia8817 My husband and I do what we love and we are not only fulfilled but well off. We are early 40’s and set to retire in the next couple of years. And no, it’s not luck, saying that takes away from the work and dedication people put into what they do. If you have a passion, plus you’re smart, ambitious, have ingenuity and creativity you can absolutely turn it into a realty. Work smart, not necessarily hard.
and yet it gets hard because of just how our mind contradicts the heart.

Very helpful. I don't think that people have to be gay just because they love doing hair or making wigs. Some are just born to be creative. Doing hair is a great and well needed job. I have met many men who were just the best beauticians pound for pound.
It was the the detached mannequin head being revealed from the inside of a pot after being steamed on a bamboo steamer for me.

At first I wasn’t impressed I have to be honest. Then when Trinity put the wig on and I saw the theme and saw it on - man is this guy amazing! He nailed it with this wig! I guess once you know the theme and see it in action it all comes together. Much love to you sir and I’m glad your parents are now on board.

Wonderfully creative ! Back when I was young & poor I used Christmas Angel Hair to make Halloween wigs and to make chaps I used leather from a sofa someone discarded on the street. Regarding acceptance by your parents….I have found that even though they say they love and accept you….the true test is if you are invited to family events….my nieces & nephews graduated, got married and had children without ever inviting me to share in their lives. The lesson here is to love yourself and not depend on others for your happiness ! THANK YOU FOR A GREAT VIDEO !

But not many who were black so your parents probably took that into consideration. You're a very talented artist!
