Dude there should be an “Annual CZcams Best Teacher award🏆🥇” Even the low yield materials are super consistently on point👌👌. Even tho you’re Penn State and I rep UPitt you’re def getting my vote
I’m UTexas AND UPenn and I have NEVER seen another that even comes CLOSE to this one……
Universities are overrated - it's well known that most professors suck at teaching. CZcams is a better teacher than all of them. Ninja Nerd case in point.
So I'm about to study Metabolic Acidosis today, and as usual I search the Ninja Nerd videos, so I'm comfortably sittin', studying, enjoing the video and I see the tattoo and realise the video is hella new, like today, like, y'all knew I had to finish with this shit today.. that was some super prophetic posting man...
Hi, Zach. I'm a pharmacist from Taiwan. This video is brilliant! It's really helps me a lot when doing my clinical practice. Appreciated!
Glad it was helpful! - TG

@@NinjaNerdOfficial Hi Zach, I have a problem understanding why a certain disease is causing a particular type of metabolic acidosis if chloride involvement is not mentioned in the explaination....why does early kidney failure results in normal anion gap MA and not high anion gap MA since you didn't mention the gain of chloride in the explaination you gave.
Thank you SO much for helping me to understand my own body. I was able to get a FULL diagnosis of myself from this video and the labs I had and override my general doctor and got into a kidney doctor who confirmed everything I had calculated. Thank you so so much!
This is a fantastic synopsis. It is incredible how much coherent information you managed to convey in a brilliantlt comprehensible way. Thanks!
This daily Ninja Nerd stopped whatever I was doing at the moment when I got this notification... just to watch this lecture! This is sooooooooo helpful!
Thank you AGAIN Professor Zach!
You’re the best man honestly!!!
This is correct
Honestly you are a great mentor, a great inspirational soul and a great person
Luv your lecgures.. They're just marvelous

This was an awesome video. I have been suffering with some type of acidosis that no one seems to be able to figure out. This was a huge help. Thank you for being so detailed.
Hello! Have you been able to find a solution for your issues? If so, what helped you?
I have my internal medicine final (med school) coming up and I was struggling to understand acid base but this video came just in time
Thank you for what you do
Mam is their lectures help for neet pg preparation too
I had my Internal medicine exam a year ago. I was struggling to understand this topic as well. Luckily, I had only one or two MCQ questions related to this topic. And here I'm correcting my mistakes🤣
@@SatyamMishra-by8sc I'm sorry, I'm doing my medical school finals so I don't know
@@ahmadmusawer9392 never too late I guess 😂
I'm studying for the BCPS and this was an awesome video! Thank you so much! 😊

And who is down voting this? Those people need a mental health checkup
Thank you sir for this wonderful lecture....
This video and channel are so under-rated!
The diagnostic algorithm is a god-send. Thank you so much!
I'm not even a med/science student but I enjoyed this a lot!
Amazing video. Can someone explain why in type 1 renal tubule acidosis, we have non-ionic gap metabolic acidosis, because there's no drop in bicarbonate levels but an increase in H+ (acidic load)
Explained brilliantly.
in online education I learned more from you than my teacher even though my English is not very good 😄❤
Yep same here
You are amazing doc. Thankyou so much. God bless you
I feel happy seeing your videos!! 🤓❣💜

Dear sir metbolic acidosis very funtastic learning happened by me only due to ur expressive way of teaching
Thank you for this! Amazing. Could you look into thiamine deficiency or functional thiamine deficiency (enzymatic etc) and lactic acidosis related to the metabolism of glucose?
Excellent!
Nice video ,great !!thx a lot
🙏🙏❤Best teacher
Actually painting the town brown while watching
Thank you for your videos
you're GREAT! thanks a lot

Ur the best teacher....
Bro...u are amazing...
Mind blowing sir keep it up 😎😎
I love your videos, I've learned so much from them! Thank you!
Maybe some day you could do a video about anorexia neurosa and the refeeding syndrome with all electrolyte complications and systems being involved. I think it would be so interesting and so useful. :)
Best teacher ever
I will probably figure this out soon after I write this, but atm I am a little confused. If your body has a low PH (acidic) because of it's loss of bicarbonate (negatively charged), why would the exchange of H+ for K+ help acidosis at all? Or it doesn't help at all but it's your body's way of trying to do something about it? Thank you!
Your a real ninja nerd. That's what I like.
great video!!
Amazing!
as always it was great
Fantastic!
Thank you!
Thank you so much
Thank You!
You are the best medical CZcams in the world 🗺 to me!!!!!!!❤️
Great job! I love your videos!
I have a little question, though...
Which one is correct?
Delta ratio :
This video
On the case of an extra-renal acidosis, are the blood levels of Phosphates and Calcium Ions elevated or decreased?
Thank you doc
Excellent 👍
at 44:30 did he inverse the result of first 2 cases of the ratio?
Hi Zach! I honestly love your content. I am leaving with a doubt though, and if this has been explained before I apologize in advance, but is there a video explaining how an increase in Cl ion reduces the circulating HCO3? Thanks for your great job.
He mentioned in 24:39 that in the intestines, Cl- ions will be absorb in exchange for secreting HCO3.
Finally
thank u so much
Someone I’ve known has directly gone into ketoacidosis and has survived... thank you for creating these videos. They are extremely comprehensive and practical.
Thank you brilliant
before i start
thank you teacher for teaching me
