Comming from a guy who does live sound when I am not performing, Liams vocals are not the best he has done live, nor the worse I have seen but the fact is... whoever that sound guy is, blows. Liams vocals have too much of a high end trebly zing in this version and his vocals are a little too loud for the band. This could have easily been corrected if the sound people had half a brain. I honestly think, if this was corrected, people would have loved this..
yea, you can really tell Noel is miserable but trying his best to not show it, or at the very least, he was bored. As good of a song as it is, I think he knows that it's kind of a simple arrangement and unless the live dynamics elevate it to another level. which would probably take some great rock n roll vocal improv from Liam..especially w/ out any harmony, the whole thing comes off a bit thin. And like you mentioned, the board wasn't doing him any favors, which is going to empower him even less...just my two cents
