- Just A quick check in with the Q.F.D. community, My Dads Health ( moms health also ) ..... , Recent Surgery, .....Everything Looking Good ......, Just Wanted To Keep ya'll more in the loop, so we can all be on the same page and answer any questions as to where ive been and where my parents are at.
these days. we will do another check in soon and lots more questing, a hounding vid will be up this evening, ....just felt like I should include everyone in on more of the behind the scenes details , as they are all part of the quest. not meant to stress or worry any one , my dad would never want that, just letting you know some of the things they are dealing with. thank you all for your support and caring. see you at the gravel bed this evening !

I cared for my folks 24/7 for over a decade and though it was the toughest experience and 'job' I've ever had to do, I'd do it all over again. So hang in there and know that were not going anywhere so take all the time you need to care for the folks. Enjoy the time you still have with them and help remind 'them' of all the joy & adventures they shared with you also!

Hi Nate, please give your Dad & “your mum” my best wishes and all the best to your dad for a speedy & full recovery so he can back to his normal life without the pain and discomfort that he has been going through.
I am a 1955 model and I was a carpenter in the early part of my career so also showing a little wear and tear on the body but I think farming can take a higher toll on the body as it’s non stop nearly every day of the year.
From what I’ve seen on your videos I have a lot of admiration for your Dad & mum they appear to be a hard working and nice couple.

Spend every moment you can with them. Ask every question they only can answer. Tell them you love them and they will embellish you fully with their precious knowledge. You know all this, though, as your love for them is so obvious in most of your videos. Good son, great family! You are a master of detail in all facets of your world.

We are so glad that your Dad was so strong that he could make it through a long critical surgery. We are all thankful that you shared a bit of their story, because it is a big part of your story! We all enjoy your quests but sometimes there are other things you must attend to. We understand! I hope your dad is on the mend and neither parent we have further problems.
I too have to have shots so that I can walk. I understand your mother’s need for the big quest.
There is just much we want to do before things get worse.

Nate, praying for your dad and your mom. My father had the same surgery in both legs, twice, from groin to ankles. Second time they had to use the artificial arterial material, so I understand . Prayers for you and the whole family. 🙏👑🙏

Hopeful for your Dad for some relief and increased mobility soon. My Mom had pain in legs from decreased flow that hurt ad frustrated her so much because of how it slowed her down. Her surgery helped her a lot. Sending good juju y'alls way.

Wow! I'm sorry to hear about your dad's health problems, and yes, I know all too well how parents get older without us realizing it, and then it's us, taking care of them! And you know we will all be here when things settle down and if they never do, we will deal with that too! I'm glad your dad's surgery went well and that he is on the mend but he will never be able to do the things he once did and he strikes me as the type of man that isn't going to listen to that advice well! Hello from just outside of Sac town! Sending positive healing energy for your dad, Nate. It is extremely difficult for older people. I had a similar situation with my right leg. I couldn't understand why my leg just seemed to get very tired. It made it difficult to walk, hike, and rock hound. The medical team went into my right leg and placed 2 balloons and 2 stents. I am back on my feet again, and doing well. Hope everything goes really well for your dad. Can I light a candle for him? Bright Blessings & Many Smiles.

I’m still fairly new to your channel but watched a few here and there. I’m so glad things turned out well for y’all. I will keep y’all in my prayers, too.
When I was 23, (1995) I lost my dad to lung cancer. It metastasized so rapidly that surgery was not even an option.
On Feb 2, this year, I lost my mom during open heart surgery. She passed on the operating table.
Parents are a blessing to have as you age. Take care of them and cherish them as long as you can. Questing can wait.
