I have a 2016 Hyundai elantra. The retaining screw is a phillips head so a little different. When that screw is loosened, similar to video. Lock cylinder seems held in by an additional something. Is there something else on the 2016 that holds the lock cylinder in? How do I get the lock cylinder out?

My door handle cap broke off and I bought a new one but the screw is not latching onto the piece so I can't screw it back in. Not sure why this is happening because you made it look so easy.
Great video and explanation. Quick question: can the little black push button be replace on it's own, or does the entire door handle need to be replaced? Push button works but came off and wont stay back on when trying to put it back into the little opening. Thanks.

Trying to do this on a ‘21 Veloster but the lock has a triangular metal piece on the left side which seems to be in the same space as the handle support. Any idea how we get the lock back in?
If you replace the cylinder, do you have to reprogram your fob? Someone tried to break into my 2017 elantra (keyless start/entry) and damaged the cylinder
Do you guys know if the handle has some sort of antenna or sensor? My button on the driver side works but only if I put the remote right next to the button, which defeats the purpose. Passenger button and trunk work fine. 2017 Elantra.
Thanks! Our button doesn't work either. I was able to remove it in under a minute based on your video. Sadly, it looks like it's pretty well sealed and would probably crack if I tried prying the handle apart to poke around at the button itself, unless there's a trick to it. Putting it back on took under a minute as well. Do you have a part number for the front drivers handle?

Thanks. Just as easy as video show's. Had to use a screw driver to loosen lock assembly from door. Dealer wanted $210.00 just for labor to replace.

I wish my son's 03 Tiburon was that easy. Power lock on passenger side froze up and remote wouldn't work till I replaced it.
