This documentary places a lens on our approach and showcases one of our athletes, Sam Smith, who increased his bowling speed by an incredible 15mph in just 18 months.
Sam is not alone. In the last two years, our Three Energy System framework has helped a significant amount of bowlers increase their speed by 5mph to over 20mph!
It’s a robust system that doesn’t rely on guesswork - it’s driven by experience, knowledge, sports science and CARE.

I think the one thing I really liked about the coaching is , forget about line and length , forget about over stepping , just bowl fast , the coaches have nailed what it takes to be a fast bowler.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. I guess it’s all about being objective. We don’t disregard line, length and no-balls; they’re important skills to have but there’s a time and place for constraints and there’s a time and place for absolute freedom!
@@speedcamp that's what Dale Steyn said..
thats on youtube by imran khan of pakistan 1992 world cup when he asked to do the same to wasim akram !!
How does this channel only have 57 subs???? This is insanely high quality cricket teaching content. Not a lot of those out there!
Haha, thank you mate! We literally just started this channel like two weeks ago so that’s why! Appreciate the support 🙏👊
Maybe they are more popular in offline
Very helpful ❤❤❤🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰🇱🇰

It is a blessing being under shahbaz, speedcamp team is stacked , proper quality
Thank you so much for the comment. We're very proud and grateful for the team that we have in place!
Amazing work, great amount of detail. Great value in this content.
This is the most exciting cricket youtube channel. Fast bowling showcases the most athletic facet of cricket. This video was so insightful. Now, Holding, Waqar, Thommo, Imran, Zahid, Akhtar, Tait and Lee bowling at breakneck speeds with varying techniques makes much more sense. I hope this channel explodes like a Malcolm Marshall bouncer. It’s a privilege to witness firsthand a young guy gaining 15 mph. That’s 15 mph!!!!It would be a crying shame if this channel does not end up with a million plus subs. Sorry about being overexcited. I just love fast bowling. Gotta go. Need to watch it one more time 😂😂😂
Commenting here before this channel explodes. Great stuff and thanks for sharing the work being done which will help many around the world. Wishing you the best. Look forward to more great content.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate your support 🙏

The expertise of the coach and the exceptional facilities provided create an unparalleled and enriching experience for all those involved.
The coach goes above and beyond by delving deeply into the science of bowling and taking the time to understand each individual athlete, ultimately elevating the bowler's entire journey and helping them reach their full potential.
The dedication and commitment of the coach and the exceptional resources available make for an unforgettable experience that is sure to leave a lasting impact.
Thank you so much for this kind and detailed comment. It really means a lot and we’re humbled by the appreciation and support 🙏
@@speedcamp Excellent work, young man! Your efforts are truly impressive and deserve recognition. Keep up the great work!
Bloody Brilliant !! How is this NOT mainstream new yet !!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. We’ve just started this CZcams channel so hopefully our continued work and results will continue to make noise 🙏👊
The dedication and prowess showcased by the SpeedCamp team is simply awe-inspiring. Having the honour to collaborate with Sam and the entire SpeedCamp ensemble was an experience that I value massively. Witnessing Sam's meteoric rise in fast bowling velocity, gaining a staggering 15mph in just 18 months, has been a testament to the synergy of hard work and talent. Fast bowling is not just a skill, it's an art and an education that merits widespread appreciation and dissemination amongst the cricket community.
Thank you so much Sufyan! We really enjoyed having you collaborate with us on this project and I’m sure it’s the start of many more to come! 🙏 #DreamTeam
Wise words indeed Sufyan.
This channel deserve millions subscriber good to see cricket growing.🌟
Kudos to Shahbaz and his team on running such a great show! Would love to have a joint like this Toronto area!
Thank you so much! It might happen one day, you never know 👀🙏👊
@@speedcamp would love to work with your organization if you guys ever expand to Toronto area!
Great stuff - I hope you are reaching out to the ECB for funding. Skill training like this is exactly what they need to be focussing on if they are serious about bringing a new generation of serious fast bowlers into the game. Best of luck to you!
Yep just look what Wood has done against the Aussies! We need SPEEEEEED
Watching From Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.. Great content 🎉
What a channel this is...love from 🇱🇰 💐💐
I taught if you clap pushups for two days a week for power and tuck jumps 2 times a week you will become pretty explosive 4 month before i bowl at 105kmph now i bowl at about 115 kmph , fast bowling is all about getting more explosiveness
Simple as tht clap pushup jumpng lunges squats few drills like 100m sprinters my son is 12 and he is fast
Thank you for sharing your experiences my friend. Explosiveness is a big part of our third energy system (Impact Energy).
The athletic and explosive attributes are awesome but you have to access them with your technique 🙏
@@speedcamp thanks sir your guidance and CZcams videos helps me alot inshallah will increase my speed up to 135kmph ❤️
Shahbaz and co changing the game literally. What a treat to watch

Great documentary- amazing journey 🔥🔥
Thank you so much Jay! Your journey is also super inspiring and we can't wait to see how it all unfolds for you in the states!
Wish I had this about when i bowled as a kid, instead of stumbling through. Getting back into it later in life make it all the more important to get correct form to prevent injuries.
Excellent info and a wonderfully talented humble individual Shahbaz is. May Allah bless you.
Kudos to the actual pros who break through the teams with the same top pace without these facilities 💯
These things come to then naturally, they're more talented
This is the most entertaining Ad I've seen
Amazing work🎉
Thank you so much 🙏
Some amazing knowledge and skills, i have a bit of a wierd bowling action and can get it up to about 60mph and i think with this i can look at bowling quite a bit faster
Before and after shots were insane. Every action was 100 times more snappy. Great vid!
Thank you so much Daniel! Your feedback means a lot 🙏
Waiting for more videos like this
Thank you!
Outstanding . .
Great work guys 👍
Thank you so much Aman 🙏
You should consider opening up a speed camp clinic in Australia, id be happy to help out if you did❤
Very helpful thank u 🇱🇰
Great bowling action. Could you please share what speed he is bowling with?
I was very impressed with your approach. As a Movement Conditioning Coach that Applied Neurology is at the foundation of my work. It would be great if you can add Applied Neurology to skill and conditioning development.
Great video guys, really enjoyed watching it. 💪💪 My favourite part was the section way at the end. "Thats is awesome, can you repeat it?" - "I can give more" - "No, no, no, I don't want more, can you repeat it" 🤣Coaching struggles 101
Thank you so much! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Haha! Literally coach struggles!
This is interesting and a good inititive.
I myself bowled 90mph and I feel a lot of fast bowling is down to attitude and natural fast bowling twitch fibres.
I always felt that I was the best and could get anyone out.
This is a cruitial mindset.
I didn't realise at the time me being a naturally fast sprinter helped me as much as it did in terms of extra pace.
This vid has enlightened me.
Hope this lad makes it.
I like his hunger and desire to improve.
Love it Shabaz
Cheers Matt 🙏👍🙌
Hats off Shabhaz for starting a camp like this ❤ i just love fast bowling
Thank you so much 🙏
@@speedcamp ☺️☺️
Never stop uploading videos, this gives me so much motivation.
Q. Shahbaz what was your pace in the footages shown
Thank you so much! We’ll definitely try and be as active as possible! I (Shahbaz) was never officially clocked so no idea, sorry! Not quick enough though 🤣🙏
😂😂😂
I wish I was young again and had all this available….. how I miss my playing days
Learned a lot from this video itself. Can’t imagine how much I would grow as a fast bowler if I went to this camp.
Thank you so much! Appreciate your kind words 🙏
Exactly
Want to bowl fast...? Its simple... Gain momentum from run up. Complete your bowling arm action along with your front foot landing. Release the ball the moment your front foot lands..... Try it
All i ever fascinated by fast bowlers bowling perfume bowls wish there was youtube in my youth.
In Pakistan without any equipment or facility without any information like this ... more fastest bowlers than anywhere else in the world ....
Yes absolutely the land of pacers for a reason love from India ❤
True bro just practice no more waste of time telling stuff just play good and learn.
Nyc
Pakistanis have speed ..but they soon wear out without proper guidance and their muscles get torn, get injured and many decrease speed and just become obsolete very fast , which even threaten their careers ....this is making a man and body fit and doing what his body can take
This is professional cricket training yaar.without professionalism you will earn injury yaar!.
Sir hats off 🎉🎉
Thank you so much 🙏
Really amazing to see Shehbaz opening this channel after Pace journal. He is doing such a wonderful job teaching the art.
Thank you so much for the kind words and support 🙏💪
Where are your services located? Love to see them in Melbourne!!🔥🔥
We’re based in England my friend! Would love to visit Australia one day 🙏
Bowling fast is all about flexibility. Remain slender while building strength, and just practice 100 balls per day at full pace.
Does this speed camp also available in India
I hope I could join this camp
🙏🙏🙏
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Only 270 subs u r hella underrated
Haha, we just started CZcams a few weeks back - we’ll grow 🙏👀🙌
Dude I want to bowl like brett lee...I am 29 and started working on it...hope i get it...Good vibes!!
Imagine seeing all training footage of waqar younis or jeff Thomson
Haha can you imagine! #gold
how much pace does he ball now ? great video
Hey good work can you please tell how fast he can bowl like what is his bowling speed
16:39 that delivery reached the crease in 0.54-0.56 Sec so that delivery will be btw 130-133kph
very impressive.
Thank you 🙏
i bowl leg spin, i do 200 pushups daily, i feel the power when i bowl
Who said leg spin was powerless?! Lol
what are the before and after numbers??
This is awesomeness 👌
I am a right arm fast bowler and I'm 37 years now. I never had Hamstring Tendum issue while fast bowling but unfortunately it started since last year. I had many physio sessions and pain got released but I still feel it. How this pain can be permanently removed? Any advice?
Watching this and then thinking about the old school quicks. Who didnt have this technology. Like akhtar, lee etc.
Don’t assume that they didn’t have access to technology/coaching etc. Brett Lee’s S&C coach (Jock Campbell) is featured in this documentary!
This was a ... spiritual experience for me. Sam has that untrainable tenacity about him as well. And I wish I had coaches like that.
Is every fast bowler face slight pain in the spinal after the session or it is happen to those who are physicaly weak . waiting fro the reply.❤❤
Hard question to answer. Pain is not a good thing to feel at all. But if you're mistaking 'pain' for 'tightness' or 'soreness' from exercise, that's a completely different thing!
wait does anyone know how fast he used to bowl and how fast he bowls now?
Wi need some people like this to held them
How can i join speed camp?
Im looking forward to seeing sam bowl for england at ashes 2030
Can you imagine! We’ll be supporting Sam all the way - regardless of the level he eventually reaches 🙏👊
Now we Pakistanis 🇵🇰 understand why most of the fast bowlers from developed countries like England, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have such a beautiful bowling actions and perfect bowling techniques.
Knowledge and facilities matter. Though we have produced a lot of great fast bowlers, still most couldn't reach to their full potential. Take the example of Shoaib Akhtar, he got injured a lot and suffered a lot even after his retirement.
Very nice progress. I calculate his delivery at 16:50 to be about 132 km/h based on frame counting. A couple more years and we're talking international fast medium.
how can y explain pls
@@afsheenzafar2073 You can measure the speed of any fast bowler by counting how many single video frames it takes to travel from his hand the length of the pitch. That gives you a time taken to travel roughly 20 metres. Then you convert metres per second to km/h.
@@PaulFurberBro actually the distance should be 18 metres right because the Distance btw the Crease is 18 metres and the point where the bowler releases the ball is mostly in front of the crease
@@anirudhsuresh4481 It's a little more than 18m because the ball is coming from about 2m up, pitching on a good length and then bouncing up to hit the stumps. My method works best on yorkers obviously because then there's a more or less straight line between bowler's hand and the base of the stumps.
@@PaulFurber ohh okk bro
Sir , please make a video for beginners . How to start fast bowling ? For those who bowl against the rule of ICC. Please sir , High demand 🥺
This is a great idea. We'll definitely look into this!
I want to see this boy play for England one day.
*Admins, How about Blending Master Classes with Bret Lee, Shoib Akthar to Unorthodox Lasith Malinga to this Speed Camp in Next episode. Will be a Hell of a Lesson with **#Legends*
North America has been doing this with pitchers sometime now
goosebumps at the end
Haha! Glad you enjoyed the finale 🙏
Nice video and content. The bowler will make a good club cricketer but that is all, 18 months isn't long enough to fix all of the major technical problems he came to you with.
Awesome
Thank you so much 🙏
I wanna train here 💪🏾🏏🙏🏾
I was talking about braced front leg to shoaib akhtar he laughed and said you just strengthen your body like commando and bowls 3 times in a week and then you'll able to bowl at high 140's
Can you describe more what he said please. Iam a 14 year old fastbowler from Pakistan and struggling with pace.
Sir u should manage to have one campus in India atleast
One day, for sure 🙏
Hello, I am from I India. I was looking to improve my bowling speed, and I came to this video, and I want to try this. Is there any way I can try this from India
150k views! Just nuts.
Tell me about it! So grateful 🙏
Good luck Sam!
not taking anything away from the work you've done... but might be worth mentioning he's been able to put on some of that speed because he's going through puberty and had a growth spurt.
Most important point , I hope they mentioned that.
How to join speed camp and what is the fee structure ?

Thank you so much! 🙏
@@speedcamp I am from Delhi

Amazing 😍😊
Thank you so much! 🙏
Where is this camp ???
This is most interesting, the genetic factor of course is significant however there is no question that from a technical aspect there are specific areas that if developed correctly using the correct methods that will definitely increase the speed of delivery far more than prople might imagination. This was mentioned by the coach(Shabaz) who comes across as a very astute and constructive person.
History teaches us that fast bowlers don't all have the same physical makeup but there are certain fundamentals that are common to all of them, be they of great height like Joel Garner, Courtney Walsh, Curtley Ambrose, tall and athletic like Michael Holding or Wasim Akram in the normal height range like Waqar Younis, Jeff Thomson Soaib Akhtar and indeed short men that were genuinely quick like Malcolm Marshall and Harold Larwood. These men had very different body types and different bowling actions but if studied it is clear they all were able to produce great speed due to the fundamentals that Shabaz was referencing.
Apologies for my misspelling of Shabhaz's name, quite unforgivable as I did it twice.
Did Shahbaz or any of the other coaches make it to professional Cricket? From the footage, Shahbaz seemed to have the build and talent to become a pro unless he got injured.
Hi mate, Shahbaz here - I didn’t get injured and I wasn’t held back because of politics or anything like that. I had a lot of support and opportunities.
I was awarded with a contract from Northamptonshire county in 2009 but I made some bad decisions with my approach to improving my bowling action and as a result, I couldn’t really bowl with the same freedom and intensity as I used to and I never really got it back until 2017/18 - by then, it was too late for me because of how well my other projects were doing and they needed my full attention!
The reason I started Pace Journal, the reason I wrote the Book of Pace and the reason I coach is to guide players to not only improve but also navigate their way through the entire developmental cycle without destroying their talent and careers!
Hope that explains it 👊
Hi i have a question i am 20 years old and my pace is near 110 to 112 so is it possible for me to click 140 to 145 in 2 or 3 years ? Please answer thank you
Impossible to answer without doing a very thorough analysis my friend. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful!
Can you mention the kph before and after please?
