- Fan of the channel Mike sent me this Sixth Scale Darth Maul DX18 Hot Toys Figure a year ago & today I finally opened it! I give my first impressions whilst unboxing this immensely detailed figure! It has a bunch of accessories from Solo: A Star Wars Story including Darth Maul's chair! For $275 it's an expensive collectible but it's worth it for the hardcore fans!

I recommend watching a review on this. With these Hot Toy figures, you sometimes have to be very careful with how you handle them because of the tailoring, and how the tailoring affects the articulation. The stand is a dynamic action stand, that you use for poses. For example, you can pose him jumping in the air or something and you can bend the pole on the stand to fit with the pose and I think you can move the clip around on the stand too.
I remember when ryan got the 501st figure and he said that he wasn't into action figures. And look at him now.
Oh there is no turning back now, I started by picking up one at a local comic shop because I thought it looked cool and now I have 30 lol

You definitely should! I recently just got my beskar mando and it's seriously the best. Also have a ESB boba fett on the way within a few days hopefully 🤞🏻

Just watched Hot Toys collector Justin Collection - you got shoutout there for your worst to first video idea :D
ATTENTION: Hot Toys batteries are bad, so if u want to have a light up feature I recommend u to get a after market lightsaber with a wire (or batteries bought by you). Also dont leave the batteries in the arm AND dont change the arm too often cuz it worms out the joint. Changing poses all the time worms out the joints too.
If u have any doubts on something I recommend watching videos about it. I know u want to be original and don't get references but, in a 200+$ piece, u wanna make sure you dont scratch it. I know it's your action figures but the action figure community likes to help each other so they don't make mistakes other people did.

Just so you don’t break anything, I’d recommend watching some reviews on Hot Yoys and Sideshow Collectibles figures. I’ve seen people who accidentally bent something the wrong way and it break catastrophically. Optibotimus does some good ones

Awesome man it looks amazing..I’ve got Rogue One Vader, DeathTrooper, and TFA Luke still sealed..they’ve gone up a lot in value especially Vader and the Trooper, I’m not sure if I’ll open them or flip them.

I quit LEGO for 1:6 scale figures last year. Never regret a bit. They are different products, but if we are talking about collect good quality and well made stuff, Hot Toys is far superior.

This is really cool. So #AskMandR, do you have any interest in getting into model kits? The construction process is similar to Lego, just not as systematic. I know Bondai is a pretty popular brand for low end prices
