I thought the same with these little battery indicator lights, what i did with my two differents 500R was: - The first one of them i just took a red permanent pen and carefully painted over these dots, now the lights are kinda purple and way, but way darkers. Like this you could keep away that residual glue tape, especially if you hike in warm places. - The second one i just wore it ''upside down'', leaving these lights beaming towards above.
