Honestly the relationship between Miguel and Johnny is my favorite thing about the show and the part where Johnny is listening to that voicemail always gets me 😭
I think the same... If Miguel dies or gets injured forever (which would be the most realistic thing to happen, honestly), I maybe would stop watching the show.

You are forgetting that during the Robbie/Miguel fight, Miguel was making personal cracks like "You liked that move? I learned it from your dad!", and "She (Samantha) doesn't love you! She loves me!" which made their fight more personal.

Give Johnny one good reason why he should believe that Daniel had nothing to do with it after his daughter and her friends wrecked it in the first place, you know who actually questioned Sam? Amanda. Totally agree. Robbie was emotional and probably still reeling from hearing about Sam & Miguel’s kiss. He wasn’t thinking. He just got angry and reacted in the moment. That’s how Miguel got hurt.

You guys are right about Robby. He was going in the right direction, but his anger toward his father, his mother's issues, and his disdain toward Miguel was too much and he was a ticking time bomb. Robby needs more than Myagi-Do, he needs counseling. Professional help. He's been let down all his life, and like Johnny said, even from the day he was born. But you can tell he didn't mean for it to go the way it did. So there's hope he can turn around. Johnny needs to go find his son and do what he needs to do. Get him help.
That’s why this is Daniels fault he was so arrogant and self absorbed he wanted to teach karate this kid needed help and you taught him karate. And then he tries to blame that on daniel
@@chadgarron2357 I don't think enough people put the blame on Daniel. Daniel taught Roby how to fight and turn on him when he found out he was Johnny son. During the Tournament he came around only to help further fuel Roby hate for his father and Miguel in his own war against Cobra Kai. Daniel cant teach balance because he was not balanced, he never really invested in Roby the way Johnny did with being Miguel Sensei. That is why Roby did not hear Daniel teachings when he kept attacking Miguel after he showed mercy. Roby is damaged and angry and Daniel should of helped him with that and to teach forgiveness and maybe the fight never would of happen because Roby would be living with his dad. I also forgot about Daniel and things he said to Roby after catching Sam with him at Johnny's. Daniel is a horrible sensei and Miguel mistake is he should of broke Roby's arm.

He actually wanted him to forgive his dad, and told him how he's not a bad person, but just someone with inner demons, and that he was led by the wrong sensei.

Steven and Nikki, You are forgetting about Karate Kid III which revealed that Terry Silver actually owns the rights to Cobra Kai.
Silver has to be bankrolling Kreese. There is no way he could have taken Johnny's dojo out from under him all by himself.
Something I just thought of. But didn’t Johnny have to appear before his city council to get Cobra Kai into the tournament back in season 1? If I’m remembering that right, Johnnys Cobra Kai was reinstated for tournaments, but what about Kreese? Kreese was the guy who was originally banned. This plot point may come back in season 3, either as Kreese can’t compete in the next tournament, or maybe Johnny and Daniel team up and go before those same council members to get him banned again.
I also hope, that when Miguel wakes up and tells his story, or all those cell phone videos come out showing what actually happened, that people’s perspective about Johnny changes. Daniel needs to see that in this fight, Johnny’s student showed mercy and was the better man. Maybe, finally, this will make Daniel start realizing that Johnny isn’t the same bully he was as a teen. Also Miguel’s mom, while understandably upset and worried for her son, had earlier told Johnny she hadn’t like what she’d seen during his tournament fight in season 1. And Johnny swore he wouldn’t let Miguel go astray. Johnny kept his word.

It was the Cobra Kai student who escalated the entire brawl, and it was the Miyagi-do student who tried to break up the initial fight.

I almost wonder if Kreese met with the landlord while Johnny was visiting Bobby and then ran to Terry Silver for a loan? I can't figure how Kreese came up with the money that fast in order to buy out Johnny's handshake deal with the landlord.
That's exactly what happened.. He even basically says that much, getting the money from Silver though is just a guess. But there is precedent for it.

The landlord for the building Cobra Kai is in hated Johnny. He even states that in one of the episodes. That's why he was quick to let Creese take the lease over.
@@shaunsmith7019 true. He hates Johnny.. But for Zarkazian "money talks". No matter how much he hated Johnny I don't think he would have made a deal behind his back if he didn't or didn't think he would get paid. So either Kreese had a stash of cash or he got some money from Terry Silver.

I just hope no one gives up on Robby he knows that he made a mistake and needs support more than ever. Daniel hopefully accepts responsibility for his students actions and continues to train him. The next season will end with Miguel and Robby fighting in the tournament finals after both learning about forgiveness, honour and mercy.
You know guys you said during that scene where Daniel visited Mr. Miyagi's grave that Mr. Miyagi would be very mad at him. I don't think he would be mad at him (Mr. Miyagi didn't even get mad at Sato who wanted to kill him for stealing his girl) but I do think he would be very disappointed in Daniel. And the reason is because he reignited the rivalry in the first place. Mr. Miyagi would not have given a damn that Johnny brought Cobra Kai back and he wouldn't have wanted Daniel to either. Having said that, once Kreese pulled what he did, he probably would have wanted to help Johnny and Miguel and Robby like he did Daniel.
Welcome to the other side! I think that finale put the whole fandom into shock, & I can hardly wait to see what happens next. Hopefully Miguel & Robby are okay. It definitely seems like Johnny & Daniel will have to put aside their differences for more than a few hours... Thank you for another season of great reactions!

Daniel's the bad guy this whole series. Since season one he misjudged Johnny and his intentions with Cobra Kai. Why? Because didn't think Johnny changed in 35yrs and he kept the same grudge since high school. He then escalates the situation by creating a rival dojo and saying Cobra Kai and everyone in it is corrupted. Then tries to undermine it by converting it's students, which is why there were 2 factions in the school.
Not only that but look at how he treats/ignores his real son and then more or less adopts someone to be the son he always wanted. His resentment of Cobra Kia and inability to let go of the past leads to him neglecting obligations to his job. employees and wife. When it comes to daddy's little girl he is oblivious to her failures and faults. He doesn't listen to his wife as Amanda is always telling him that Johnny probably isn't the same kid he know back in high school.
No, he's a good guy, but sees Johnny through the prism of him being a massive bully. It's easy for the audience to have a sympathetic view of Johnny because we see everything, but Daniel usually only sees him being a douche and snuggling up to Creese, a bona fide psycho.
Yes they are corrupted, many who have joined showed asshole traits (Hawk being the worst offender)

This season was "Empire Strike Back" of Cobra Kai. The Force Awakens should have been like season 1 of Cobra Kai and the Last Jedi should have been similar to season 2. They should have Cobra Kai writers write episode 9

Cobra Kai creators should helm a Marvel or DC films after their work in this amazing show. They revive the Karate Kid franchise after that lame Kung Fu Kid film with Jackie Chan and Will Smith kid.
While Kathleen Kennedy or Rian Johnson keep with their agendas in Lucasfilm, I don't see any good writers in the upcoming films

I have to disagree about Robby, I don't see him as evil but he allowed his anger to take over in the heat of the moment. He has some the worst traits of his father Johnny that he abandoned Daniel's teachings.
But I don't see him as irredeemable, he wanted to protect Sam from Tory and Miguel jumped him. Miguel gave as good as he got in that fight and wasn't innocent but it was still sad that he got injured. Robby didn't mean to kick him over the rail, that part was an accident. It is ironic that Miguel followed the Miyagi do teachings in the end and Robby followed John Kreese's no mercy teachings. I agree I want Johnny and Daniel to team up and take down Kreese, and Ali can play a role in helping Miguel whether she shows up in season 3 or not, and both of them can try to help Robby who will feel huge remorse for what happened. Sam can be there for Miguel while he recovers.
And imagine going through what robby did his mom leaving to rehab your teacher/father figure saying he wants nothing to do with you and your girlfriend cheating on you with a guy you already worried about that don’t give robby the right it’s just hard to control
Robbie is a transexual teenage surfer that is going through puberty and it's only natural that he would get hangry and kick someone over the bannister on his first day of school. You need to be more empathetic

Both Robby and Miguel were in the wrong. It wasn't that Robby was evil, it was that the two of them were worked up, adrenaline was running high, and both their brains were shut off for most of that fight. At the end, Miguel suddenly snapped out of it, but he should have realized that Robby was still in the heat of the moment.
@@shounenbat510 I agree, I'm just over the finger pointing, some viewers want to blame only Sam and Robby just because Miguel is the one that got hurt, but there was enough to blame to go around that led to that brawl and Miguel's injury. I don't see the three Miguel, Sam or Robby as bad kids but all made mistakes in this whole fiasco.
Far better than any tournament match they could have shown for a finale. They recently put out a teaser trailer for Season 3, coming in 2020.

Robby was in the emotional state to do what he did at least partially because Daniel rejected him, leaving him only with Johnny as a source of stability in his life... until Miguel rhetorically knocked that support out from under him during the fight, by reminding Robby that Johnny had been a better dad to him than to his own flesh and blood son. Really good writing and characterization.
I loved the irony between Miguel and Robbie. Johnny took Miguel on as a son and wasn’t in Robbie’s life at all growing up. Johnny taught Miguel to show mercy and didn’t show his own son that too. His own flesh and blood did what he didn’t want.

You know what's funny about Moon? She's a minor character, yet practically everything that happens in Cobra Kai she is indirectly the cause of. That's how good the writing for this show is. Her character goes largely undetected but is actually a major plot device.
Lol. Moons heart is in the right place, but she’s really underestimating how much the two groups hated each other. Even I thought that it was a bad idea when she invited the two groups to the party in episode 9.
At least she has access to low calorie weed..

Friend of mine who is also a fan said that ending was their Infinity War. Even watching this ep bleary eyed on the bus to work from staying up and binging Season 2 when they dropped it, after Miguel wound up in the hospital and Kreese stole the dojo from Johnny, I was like, "Where do they go from here?" And I will tell you guys, no matter where they do go from here, Johnny and Daniel need to sit down and have a long talk.

Robbie went overboard, but I think his anger was in his belief that Miguel took advantage of Sam when she was drunk. Obviously he didn't but that was what Robbie thought, hence the anger. Plus he's new to that school, so not as familiar with his surroundings while only focused on the fight. Miguel tried to do the right thing, but I don't believe Robbie tried to send him over the rail on purpose.
If Miguel wanted to do the right thing, he wouldn't have attacked Robby who was trying to break up the fight.
Miguel saw him as aggravating Tory. Not to mention the two of them already had some quarrel. That's why he charged in.

I have no idea how this will end up. I'm afraid miguel is going to be paralyzed. I dont see how Ali will help the situation. Especially since Daniels marriage is probably on the rocks now. A lot of this really is on Sam's fault honestly. I am super bummed we have to wait till 2021 to see the next season.

This whole series is a very very pleasant surprise, it's awesome! Far better than I'll ever expect, and this episode was top notch.
This show gets you so hard because they give you so many kinds of love to root for and be invested in: friendship, family, teachers/mentors, and then they do THIS and it hurts on so many levels in so many ways. My face was basically the exact same as y'all for the end of this episode, except I did more ugly crying.

Predictions for Season 3: Johnny and Danny team up to help Miguel become healthy and whole again. Robby will go full Vader and be Kreese's Cobra Kai "Bad Boy". Terry Silver will appear and cause problems for Danny's business and life.

I rode with the action for a while then when Demitri said get a teacher it hit me why isn't didn't any faculty hear this message sent to the entire building and show up? Glad that you were quicker to pick up on this than I was.

Robby is a good character to me I feel like he was hurt so much in that small time that anger just let out at the beginning he wanted to break it up then at the end he couldn’t control it

@8:48 just so you guys know as a teacher/coach I would’ve recommended expulsion for only 3 people; 1)Tory for knowingly threatening another student on the intercom system, 2) Hawk for chasing Demetri even though not being provoked in any way (basically him being premeditative wanting to fight and showing intent to hurt another student), and the kid beat the teacher (he knew what he was doing and the teacher could possibly sue for assault).
Also anyone else notice how Miguel starts off by seating next to Hawk in homeroom but somehow Hawk beats him to the fight? What route did he take??!!

As I said earlier, Hawk should have been arrested, and Tory DEFINITELY should have been arrested. The fact that those 2, and especially Tory, were both in karate class that night instead of being in police custody was ludicrous. Tory committed a minimum of 3 crimes in that school fight, and Hawk committed a minimum of 4 crimes in that same school fight. Yes, Robby should be arrested too, but so should Tory and Hawk.
@@isaiahbutler and @Idkusa, if Hawk, and/or Tory, skate free for their roles in inciting the fight, and/or for what they did during the fight, not only would I be shocked, I'd also be outraged. Both of them have to be held accountable for their actions.
Note at the 8:11 Mark, Hawk knows that after one of his Cobra Kai goon-mates attacked the teacher who attempted to break up the fight, he knew that he was in big-ass trouble. His facial expression is screaming "We just f---ed up!"

This episode is the most amazing thing I've seen in a while. The fight scene just kept going on and on for 20 minutes. It was like a battle in GoT. I wasn't prepared for that. Granted, it was ridiculous, but it was awesome.
Why it took Miguel so long to get to the fight even running down the halls when he was sitting next to Hawk who arrived instantly hmmmm lol

Miguels problem was not that he showed mercy. It was that he dropped his guard. If he would have just stayed aware and stepped quickly as soon as he let go of Robbies arm. Then he would not have been cheap shotted.
Exactly, Miguel let his guard down and didn't move away immediately. As for Robby, they were in the heat of a fight and one strategy is to strike when & where there's an opening, which Miguel gave away.
I’m starting season 2 now. But I had to watch this with you lol. I am eager to see what has happened that lead up to this. This show has so much heart, guts, passion, and drive. It has definitely exceeded my expectations. Im in love with this show and the characters. It’s surreal to watch this come to life. I heard Ali shows up in S3

This show is absolutely amazing
My season 3 general prediction is similar to many, but I think Ali with help heal Miguel (who is the next Karate Kid, they can’t kill him off or paralyze him that’d be so sad), Daniel and Johnny will team up against Kreese, but Kreese will call in Terry Silver and “The Bad Boy” who will not only defend him but help expand their operation so that Cobra Kai takes over the Valley. Idk what will happen to Robby.
And they are doing an arc in Japan with Chozen!!! So exciting, that surprised me a lot and I have no idea how that will fully tie into season 3 but I hope it’s a big part.
Imagine if they took Miguel to Okinawa as part of his healing process, where he learns more Miyagi-Do Karate. That’d be sick.

On my second viewing, Miagi students went out of their way to hurt cobra kai students. MD accused CK of theft, MD tried shut down CK on yelp, MD broke and entered a CK resident, MD raised the rent and stole students from CK, MD cheated and tried to steal the boyfriend of a CK.... Miagi do really were the aggressors.
Gerard Newell, You must have missed the part where the Miyagi Do students either tried to find a teacher to stop the school brawl (Dimitri) or avoided striking first in a fight (Chris). (Rolling eyes)

Its going to be tough for Johnny to side with Miguel or to side with his son Robby
I want to see some real world fall out from the brawl. Police investigation, angry parents at the next PTA school board meeting, media coverage, some of the students being brought up on charges.
What if Robby is in jail for his part and Johnny gives him some tough love refusing to help him. This leads to Amanda helping him and finding a lawyer. Johnny blames Robby for paralyzing Miguel and Daniel for driving a wedge between him and his son. He thinks this all could have been have been avoided if it wasn't for Daniel always meddling in his life.
Carmen is the real barrier to his relation with Miguel but the writers will find a way to mend this.
He will side with Miguel he said he's more like a son to him than robbie
Remember when Carmen mentioned how Miguel's unseen father was involved in some violent lifestyle within their home country? Imagine the reaction of Miguel's father when he hears about Miguel's serious injuries. :o

The only TRUE bad-ass television character that was named Hawk was Avery Brooks' Hawk in ABC's Television Series "Spenser For Hire", whose star was the late great Robert Urich, which ran from 1985 to 1988. THIS Hawk in Cobra Kai is a loudmouth, bullying, thuggish punk.
How is hawk a bully? Does he actively search out for people to bully? No he fucking doesn’t so stfu. And that whole demetri thing hawk was provoked by demetri so thats why he went after him. Bullies attack unprovoked,for no reason. Do u even know what the word ‘bully’ means?
And dont even bring up that medal of honour bullshit. Cause thats not bullying.

I feel Season 3 that Johnny and Daniel will make their own dojo together to go against Cobra Kai. Hopefully, Miguel will make a comeback recovery and fight.
These two (especially Daniel) have some issues to work out before they can work together. This show has done a good job at portraying interpersonal relations I would hate to see them throw that out the window and force these two characters together before they are ready for it.

Loved this episode. The school karate riot was so fun and insane. I love the mix of action, comedy all the emotional feels. so damn good.
I fell 50 feet in azusa canyon. Straight onto nothing but a small river about ankle high. I fractured(compression fracture) my thoracic vertebrae from t7-t11. Completely shattered my right foot. It's only how based on how you land sometimes. I thank God I skated for more than half my life and didn't give up and just let myself fall completely flat

I hope so! I am actually more of a fan of Tory's than Sam's! She's just a much more interesting and mysterious character.
And that’s what happens when you teach a bunch of kids karate that go to the same school and have a lot of tension and beef with each other with their confused hormones, seeing each other as the bad guys in their own stories while dealing with their own problems/ drama and being manipulated and confused by these other adults that basically have the same exact thing what the kids have with each other. 😅 That was a lot to think about
