In this video, I remove everything necessary to repair the leak in a 95 Polaris Magnum 425 gearcase. This is part one in the Polaris Magnum repair. The second part will show the gearcase seal installation on this Polaris four-wheeler. ATVs are fun but when they break you have to know how to fix them yourself or be prepared to pay. I'll be adding this and other Magnum related videos to the "1995 Polaris Magnum Repair Guide" play list.

Thank You!! i have same Polaris. Can you make a video of how to tense the front chain?

If you loosen the chain all the way in the rear you don't have to take the chain apart

I know it works from the hand brake(when slippery all weeks stop or lock) I just can't get the foot petal to do anything. The linkage and spring are all correct. I've notice with this rear brake system on the older Polaris quads the foot petal always goes bad. The same thing happened with my dads 95 sportsman 400

I have a '97 425 6x6. What weight oil should I use for the oil change, synthetic or non-synthetic? I bought it used for a winter workhorse. The Hayne's manual is vague to the point of uselessness.

You forgot the shims behind the bushing, your video shows the shims when you took it apart but none when you put it together?
