  • Here are the warning signs of vitamin D deficiency most people ignore! Over 40% of American adults, and approximately 1 billion people worldwide are deficient in vitamin D. That’s a lot of people walking around lacking in this vital nutrient. As you may already know, lack of vitamins or a vitamin deficiency can cause serious health consequences if not addressed.
Because low vitamin D levels are affecting so many people across the globe, it’s important to learn the signs and symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. Since vitamin D has receptors throughout the body, it’s imperative that you get adequate amounts in order to stay healthy.
If you suspect that you may need more vitamin D based on this list, it’s best to talk to your doctor and get your blood levels checked. The good news is that a deficiency of vitamin D is easy to fix if your levels are lower than adequate. You can either you get more sunlight, consume more foods high in Vitamin D, or take a supplement.

I was diagnosed with depression at a young age. rarely went outside, developed agoraphobia, and stayed home almost every day barely leaving my room. once my old doctor retired I was replaced with a new one. she brought up vitamin d deficiency to me after doing lab tests for the medication I was taking. she told me to start taking vitamin d. and it’s helped me improve in a lot of areas. it really has made a difference to me.

I can definitely tell you Vitamin D is SO IMPORTANT! Vertigo, hair loss, weight gain, and especially for mental health. I was depressed and crying everyday over the silliest little things and even if I detected a tone change in my husbands voice. I was never like this before. Fast forward a couple months and I decided to book a surgery that would improve my health and weight loss. During all the steps for screening I had bloodwork so many times and it was discovered my Vitamin D levels were beyond the “low” point and I needed it pronto! Within a week of receiving the correct dosage everyday, it’s improved 10 fold and I don’t feel how I did. However, since I cannot absorb iron, B12, and Vitamin C either I’ve been diagnosed with malabsorption syndrome. I beg anyone whom has even one vitamin deficiency, to get a full mineral and vitamin blood panel done. It could save you months of depression and even save your life.

Someone named Laura asked how to get the full blood panel done, and you would have to ask your Family Doctor or a walk-in clinic doctor here in Ontario, Canada. It’s free under OHIP but there are a few here that we do have to pay for regarding more screening for blood disorders (which can contribute to deficiencies and isn’t limited to anemia). Hope that helps 😁

Step 1: Apply hair oil and let it overnight or for a minimum of an hour for it to work.
Step 2: Rinse it out with shampoo.
Step 3: Apply conditioner of your choice to the roots of your hair.
I used a mild and natural hair fall control kit by littleeextra cococonion for these steps as it's mild and natural, and is considered gud for hair fall control.
If you also have dandruff, use lemon juice on your scalp minimum once a week before shampooing and rinse it out about an hour later.

Some doctors have said having patients come in routinely for appointments to renew a prescription that only treats the symptoms is their “bread and butter”. Great business model for them if you think about it. You need to research yourself, get tested for Vit D, and discuss with your doctor. If you bring up the discussion they will try to help you. If not, find another. Most doctors go into the profession to truly help people, but some are drawn in by the money.

I’m struggling with this right now I’m always fatigued which causes me to not have good work ethic at my job because most of the time I feel sleepy and tired. I’ve also been dealing with anxiety attacks and headaches which makes it worse because it has me thinking I probably have a serious condition. Depression kicks in here and there. I’m now taking vitamin d3 and hopefully it resolves the issue because it’s very difficult living like this.

I just found out I had vitamin d deficiency in November 2020 after having a blood test. I have read that Vitamin d deficiency is often overlooked by GP’s and a blood test is not automatically given for Vitamin d deficiency by your GP, unless you request that to be done. The blood test for Vitamin D Deficiency was taken by a locum doctor at my GP’s surgery without me known and not by any of the partners at my surgery and I’m so grateful to her that she did that blood test. I had heard of Vitamin D Deficiency, but I never knew about any of the symptoms until I had that blood test in November 2020. So for anyone in the UK who has similar symptoms, request a blood test for Vitamin D Deficiency. It could be caused by other medical issues as well. But if it is Vitamin D Deficiency it can be medically treat very easily. Although I’m still not feeling 100% fit and healthy as of yet!

@@juliekane7210 Vitamin D helps your body absorb Calcium.
Calcium is one of the Major Minerals (aka macro-minerals). Adults need 1,200mg daily. Here’s some info about calcium deficiency: draxe.com/nutrition/calcium-deficiency/

Vitamin D3 - is one of the fat-soluble vitamins, meaning your body can store excess of these in the liver and fat tissues. The other three that are fat-soluble are A, E, and K2. Vitamin D isn’t always thought of as a vitamin since we make it ourselves. Humans produce vitamin D when exposed to sunlight. A daily dose of about 20 minutes of sunlight provides all we need. Vitamin D3 is the most effective kind, the same that comes from our own skin and lichen. We should get 5,000-6,000 IUs daily. How refreshing to hear a clear, easy to understand, no nonsense medical guide.
Before taking VitD I endured lethargy, aching bones, low mood, fear of coping in social situations, difficulty concentrating and other problems mentioned in the video, to a lesser extent.
The strangest thing was I had many bouts of what i believed was labyrinths or vertigo as it is often wrongly labelled. This is when you, wrongly, feel your body is in motion after getting to your feet.
I was never advised that a deficiency in VitD could be the cause and was never given drugs that could relieve it.
I have been taking cod liver oil capsules for about 6 months and the dizziness has never returned. This is also true for the physical symptoms mentioned above, but not the psychological ones, in my opinion, but they definitely haven't worsened.
I had never been aware of a link between VitD and labyrinths but am now convinced it treated it successfully.
VitD shall remain part of my daily supplementation with this knowledge as, regardless, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
I would add the only other supplements I use are Omega3 and 6.
Note. When I studied bioscience at university in the late 80's/early 90's, I asked my physiology and food science lecturers about possible unproven nutrients.
Both of them mentioned Omega3 and Omega6 compounds, which I had encountered in membrane structures, but I never forgot that they both said, if they were to bet on the next big thing, it would be a fat soluble compound and the liver might be a valuable source of it/them.
It might be proven they were wide of the mark, but I would be inclined to listen to them as opposed all this pseudo science we see in the media and online.

Top three symptoms mentioned here. After seeing this video and self diagnosing my cardiologist ordered blood test and sure enough very low Vitamin D levels. Thanks for this wonderful video!!
Follow up: After being diagnosed with low vitamin D I immediately started taking 2000 mg daily of Vitamin D3 and made a conscious effort to get more sun. It didn’t happen overnight (actually close to 3 months) but I now can take walks pain free and without restrictions. I may not feel like I did when I was 30 but great compared to where I was at. I used to dread walking from the parking lot to the grocery store. Now I take long pain free walks every day. I had blood work done just last week and my vitamin D levels have doubled to put me within the normal range.
